Chapter 22: Pure heart
Third person point of view
"Why did she do that? I mean I'm mad or anything" Piper said, Pip just shrug and sit down at the chair.
"Maybe Natty went over so she slap her?" their father said while putting the food in front of them.
"Kinda? That probably hurt. Your own bestfriend slap you" Pip said and Piper nodded her head.
"I've been absent for 3 days and everybody is fighting gosh. I don't know what to do" she said while sighing.
"You know that is part of growing up. You face misunderstandings and challenges. You need to fix it before it fall apart" Mr. Alvarez said while smiling at the two.
"You heared that?" Pip said and Piper glare at her. Their weekend ended softy as their father treat them in a good food chain.
As Monday comes, Pip and Piper came in the school together. The students start to greet Piper that is smiling at them.
They are going to their classroom when someone called them.
"Pip! Piper! The students are throwing eggs to Stacy" The male student said and they look at each other.
They both walk faster to the gym while Jenrick who just got in furrowed why the students are extra loud.
"Excuse me but what is happening?" Jenrick asked the guy who passed by.
"The students are making Stacy to kneel in front of Piper and also they are throwing eggs at her" The guy said and Jenrick thank him.
"I don't know why the students are that wild" he said and he run to the gym. Jenrick saw Zaizen who is also running.
"Dude!" Jenrick called Zaizen, he stop running and he look at Jenrick.
"I heared what is going on. Where is the others?" Jenrick asked and Zaizen just sigh.
"I didn't know too, let's go" he said and they run both to the gym. Zaizen heart drop when he saw Stacy soaking in eggs and she is kneeling down.
He is about to make her stand but Piper already step in and she handed her hand on Stacy.
"Stand up" she said and Stacy eyes look widen when she saw Piper smiling at her.
"Piper move! That bitch needs to be punish!"
"Yeah she is bitch!"
"She has been hurting you! We can't tolerate bully!"
"Guys stop, okay?" Piper said while looking back at them. They all shut up when Piper calmly said those words.
Catherine and Rich who just came. Catherine smile how kind her bestfriend is.
"You don't need to do this, okay? About this matter it is between me and Stacy alone. Do you understand me?" Piper said and she look each one of them.
"This is also bullying. Go back to your class" Piper said and she make Stacy stand up. Stacy sigh and she look at Piper who is cleaning her hand with her towel.
"I can't believe that students would do this to you" she said, Zaizen step up and he remove his jacket.
"You should ignore those kind of students. They don't know about you" Zaizen said while giving her the jacket.
"I don't know what to say but thank you" she said and Piper smile at her. She look back and she saw her twin brother giving her thumbs up.
Jenrick is smiling at her that made Piper smile too. Catherine lend Stacy her pe uniform while Rich is going to explain the happenings at the teachers.
And guess what Natty is missing.
"I'm sorry for what I've done Piper. I know that I cross the line and I even hurt you. I didn't deserve your forgiveness" Stacy said while she lower down her head.
Piper sit beside her and she pat her head. Stacy continue to cry as she remember her one friend who trust her and love her.
They are alone at the gym while Pip and the others give them private time to talk.
"Uhm Stacy I know that you also have your own struggles and I can't judge you like that" Piper start and Stacy is listening to her.
"I know you felt pressure from your parents that you should be on top and maybe your parents got dissapoint because of me. I should be the one who will apoligize to you"
"No no no Piper you're the most kind person I ever saw. I am wrong here, I'm just being a bitch and I let my emotions hurt you"
"I understand Stacy, the important is that you learn at your mistake and you apologize" Piper said while flashing a sweet smile on her face.
"You know that I am friends with Zaizen, right?" Stacy asked and Piper nodded her head.
"Uhm Zaizen tell us, actually I wonder why you two are not close as before"
"Well things get complicated when I confess at Zaizen. You know that he is really naughty but kind" Stacy said while smiling genuine. Piper notice how Stacy's expression became so bright when she is thinking about Zaizen.
"He told me that I am just a friend so I get mad and I push myself away from him" Stacy said and Piper is just listening to her.
"It is childish, right?"
"It may to others but you also got hurt. People got hurt when your love reject you. It just how love works, right?" Piper said while smiling at her.
"Do you know what love is?" Stacy asked and Piper think about her question.
What is love?
"Love is universal as I learn to my father" Piper answered and Stacy nodded her head. Piper is right but when you learn how to love someone, you will know how love works.
"My advice to you that don't fall in love with your friend. It can destroy your friendship in instant" she said and Piper nodded her head.
She think about Jenrick again. But Jenrick told her that he likes her, should she be worried?
"Jenrick seems like he likes you. Is Pip okay with it?" Stacy asked and Piper nodded her head.
"Pip is chill about it. Maybe we are getting mature that he understand what life is?" Piper answered and Stacy smile about what she said.
"You are really kind. I understand why your friends are protective" Stacy said and she remember what happen to the past month.
"You are kind too but you choose to hide it" she said that made Stacy heart warm.
"Can I get a hug?"
Stacy smile as she hug Piper so tight. Piper smile and she pat Stacy's back. Natty comeback from the bathroom, she is from the library to ease her mind.
Two person hugging in the bench made her furious. She furrowed her eyebrows and when Stacy pull away Natty clench her fist.
"First Zaizen, now Piper? What are you trying to do huh Stacy?" She said and she stomp her feet going to the classroom.
