Chapter 24: I hate her
Third person's point of view
Monday comes and everybody is back to normal. The exams are on the way that made the students busy for submitting their school works.
Natty came back at the school and she is quiet than the usual that made the other students look at her.
She just sit in her assign seat and she didn't even bother to say goodmorning especially to her boyfriend. They sense something not nice.
"I told you not to do this in front of me or I will smack your head" Piper threaten Pip who is going to do something silly.
"I was just joking! But are you not curious about how the paper is made?" Pip said and Piper roll her eyes.
"Of course it made of tree. Stop bothering me and go do your project" Piper said while pushing Pip to his seat. He just pout and Natty caught his eyes.
"Are you upset or something?"
"You're annoying" she said, Pip act like he is hurt or something that made Jenrick laugh out loud.
He just watching behind them and he groan in pain when Piper hit his head with a ballpen and also told him to help her with the project.
"I'm just asking? But hey I'm serious so treasure this moment. Why are you absent for about 3 days?" Pip asked and Natty look back at him.
"Nothing, just do your school works" Natty said and Catherine just look at her. She felt guilt after she slap her.
She is determined to talk to her after class. Zaizen is out of the classroom because he is assign to get the checked notebooks.
He came back with a smile on his face that Pip find it weird. Maybe something happen silly that made him smile like that.
They decided not to bother their relationship. The reason is that they are not their business. Their relationship, their problem. It's hard to meddle in the problem of their relationship when you know nothing.
"Natty I want to talk to you" Catherine said and the whole squad look at Natty who is fixing her bag.
The class is already finished, Zaizen and Pip are out of the practice while the rest is in the classroom.
Natty look at Catherine and she nodded her head. Rich leave them two and he goes to Piper and Jenrick.
"Should we go and listen to their conversation?" Jenrick said and Piper glare at him.
"Let them talk to each other" Piper said and Rich agree with her. They were out of the classroom and they decided to check on Pip and Zaizen.
Something surprise them. It was Stacy and Zaizen hugging each other. There were hugging like there is no tomorrow.
"Woah" Jenrick said and Rich quickly cover his mouth. Piper shook to see it and they slowly retreat.
"Why did you cover my mouth? They are hugging!?" Jenrick leashed out when Rich let go of him.
"Listen here, let's investigate. We can't just jump into conclusion and gather evidence" Rich said that made them look at each other.
"So Piper and Stacy are both the same club while me and Zaizen are in the same. Let's observe them" Rich said while writing something in his notebook.
They look like they are about to murder someone because of their plan. The three of them nodded their head as they finish their plan a.
Meanwhile Catherine and Natty are on the field. Sitting one meter apart. Catherine sigh and she is thinking that she should talk first.
"Are you upset?" Catherine asked while she took a single glance on her. Natty shook her head and she tries to stop her tears.
"Not at all, maybe I deserve but I don't take back what I said" she said that made Catherine raise her eyebrows.
Pride I see
"Do you think that it would change my anger towards her if she say sorry to Piper? Not at all Catherine, I still hate her" Natty said and Catherine sigh, it looks like she will never like Stacy a little bit.
"Fine, I respect your perspective but Stacy change you know that? She is smiling not fake and not force. She is greating us good morning and she is just chill" Catherine explain, she want her and Stacy to be in good terms.
It's been years since they fought. Catherine remember the first time they fought. It was back on their freshmen years where Zaizen and Natty already on a relationship.
It was Natty volleyball training and Stacy is watching in the bench, thinking something that could make Natty embarrassed in front of the people.
Stacy wait for the right time when the ball come towards her and she smirk as she kick it hard to make it land on Natty's head.
She almost lost her conscious but lucky that her teammates caught her. Natty was furious about it because Stacy never apologize to her.
Her anger towards Stacy become big when she knows that Zaizen and her are friends. And accidentally she knew about Stacy's feelings towards Zaizen.
"Catherine we need to talk about what happen not about Stacy!" She said while standing up that made Catherine stand up too.
"This happens because of her! That's why I am trying to make you two in good terms! Also Piper is doing something, you don't know that she personally talk to Stacy. She want all of us be friends. Let's say that we don't need to be friends with her but respect her" Catherine said, she is trying to calm herself because she might said something to her that might cause another misunderstanding.
"Catherine are you sorry for what you did?" Natty asked and Catherine stop, she slowly nodded her head.
"Then don't force to like that bitch. In your eyes she is nice now but not on my eyes. How come a person nice in an instant?" she said and Catherine raise her eyebrows.
"What do you mean by that? Wow you unbelieveable. Fine hate Stacy all you want. Don't worry you can talk to me like nothing happen" she said and she leave Natty alone in the field.
Natty take a deep breathe as she go to the classroom to get her things.
Meanwhile Catherine is going home and the moment she go home. The maid greet her and she just smile at them.
As usual her parents are not home. She go to her room and change her uniform into a comfortable one and open her pc to search something.
One artist from the group that Catherine is joining is open for the art contest containing book cover contest and other stuff.
Catherine got interested and she sign up for one contest which is the poster making contest. She don't have nothing to do so she immediately start it.
She is been hours making it and she stop when her parents called her for dinner. Unexpectedly her father comes in and be furrowed his eyebrows to see that Catherine is working on an art.
"What is that?" He said and he roam his eyes, he never visit his daugther room so he can see the different kinds of art material display around her room.
"Daddy? I can explain-" she stop when her father glare at her.
Catherine pray as she notice how her father expression became serious and intimidating.
"What is this!?" He shouted and Catherine's heart crashed as her father smash the pile of art material that she save.
"Daddy, I can explain-"
"No art! No art!" He said while smashing all the art materials he doesn't care if it is expensive or not.
"Daddy I'm just having fun-"
"No you should be studying for medical school. You should be studying to become a doctor! Not this shit"
"It's not shit! It is wonderful and amazing. You don't know how much I love art!"
"You are talking back to me? Fine, I will monitor your card and also your money"
"This? This is trash" he said while he put the brush in the trash that made Catherine cry more.
"Mom mom please do something" she pleased when she saw her mother getting inside of her room.
"I told you to follow us"
"What about my happines?"
"Honey you will love doctor, I promise" her mother said and she call the maid to clean her room.
Catherine felt helpless and she just space out while her tears are running down her cheeks.
She don't know what to do. She want to defend herseld and explain what she want. That art is also good. She want to told her parents that loving what you do is important
But she can't
Catherine doesn't have a choice but to cry as her father smash it. Her mother is just looking while crossing her arms.
Catherine swear that her parents is going to regret this. One day her parents will ask her forgiveness for making her weak, for stoping her for what she want to do.
