Behind a bush somewhere, was a small and injured kitten with blood stained fur covering it's beautiful light blondish coloring and sky blue eyes.
"Nyuhuhu~" The little kitten laughed a little and thought, 'It took a little bit of fighting, but I've finally succeeded in getting a bit of the cat food~!'
Koura was part of the community of stray cats. Well, it would be more accurate to say she was an orphaned kitten that had to be fierce to live. And today, she was super lucky. Usually, there was one specific house that left out delicious cat food, and all the cats in the neighborhood went there to battle it out for a bite.
Koura was just lucky this day to have won and snatched quite a bit. Quickly, she ate all of it like her life depended on it. Who knows when another cat would ambush her?
'Phew~ Now to clean up this blood.....' Koura sat down on the soft grass and started licking the blood on her paws and legs.
After cleaning up her fur, she skillfully climbed to the top of a tree branch that got the most wind and shade to have a little cat nap after her meal. It wasn't that bad being a stray cat. Even better, being a good pet cat~

{Little cat.... I shall bless you with a that of a human life...}
Koura heard the male voice speaking to her, and unlike usual, she didn't immediately wake up? She didn't really listen to what the voice was saying to her either. It kinda went from one ear out the other as she struggle to try and wake up.
It was only a few seconds after that voice stopped speaking, that Koura could wake up from her nap. Although... there was something different....??
The moment she opened her eyes, she was no longer in a tree, but instead, some sort of garden?!?! How did this happen? Also... something felt off, like, she was bigger than usual?!
"EEEHH~~~?!?!" She couldn't help but be confused and surprised.
Her small and furry paws became hands and feet along with long light blonde hair that covered most of her back.
'I'm a human?!?!?!?' Koura attempted to stand up, but immediately tripped and fell on the grass. 'This is pretty difficult.....'
She attempted to stand up a dozen more times, but she just couldn't fully master it, and staggered or tripped every now and then. The yellow and white plain dress that she was already wearing had become dirty as well.
Koura eventually got better at walking on two legs before following a twisting brick path that led around the garden. Sure, she could explore in random directions, but for some reason, she just felt like she should follow the unending path.
Bonk-!
Unknowingly, since she was staring at the ground, Koura had walked right into a glass door at the end of the pathway. As her balance wasn't that great either, she actually stumbled back a bit before falling backwards.
"Pppffttt----!!"
"Hahehah~~--!!"
'Huh...?' The sound of two people laughing on the other side of the door made her look up past the glass.
A little girl like her except with light purple hair and an adult woman with wavy, bright pink hair. Both had been sitting on a white sofa drinking tea on a small table, and just happened to see Koura crash into the glass door like a dumb bird.
However, the woman with pink hair got up after a while and opened the door. Koura was stunned for a while, but then remembered that she was now a human child, and scrambled get up and walk inside the house.
'Woah~~!' She admired the house she was now in, it was a lot different from the ones she usually saw.
For one, it was much larger and had a second floor. All the decorations looked much shinier as well.
"Haha~! Kuri~! You wanted to go into the garden, yet you crash into the door when coming back inside, how dumb~!!" The purple haired girl looked like she was about to burst from all the laughter.
Fortunately, Koura wasn't angry enough to attack her, but rather, 'This human called me Kuri? Is it my name?'
The woman with bright pink hair was also still laughing. Was her crashing into the door really that funny? (AN: Yes, I have also suffered from crashing into glass doors in front of my family and they couldn't stop making fun of me for that.)

[Eight Years Later]
Atop the roof of a certain building, was a girl with long, light blonde hair, and sky blue eyes sitting with her feet hanging off the edge. Next to her as well were a crowd of five different types of cats. A Siamese, Calico, Persian, Orange Tabby, and a black Bombay Cat.

The past eight years, Koura learned a lot about the world. Things she would've never known if she stayed a stray cat. The person she was in human form was called Meiren Kuri, of the Meiren Family. three years after integrating into human society, she found that it was possible to transform back into a cat.
When Koura found that out, she went outside almost everyday for most of the day in her cat form and came back for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And, her time spent outside was mostly fighting other cats for territory around the city.
To be honest, she liked being a cat a little more than a human in some areas and old habits died hard. For example, if she got her hands or face dirty with food or something edible, she would maybe lick it until it was clean, or bit and scratched things. Frankly, she might as well been more cat than human.
Her senses of a cat also stayed the same even when she was a human. That was how she came to befriend the five cats that practically went everywhere with her.
