It REALLY is Hell

After talking a little more with Silva on various subjects, they finally started to run.

Arthur was running smoothly. He was keeping pace with Silva and imitating his actions and even taking note of his breathing, which he captured with his senses. After all, Silva was a veteran of many years, so his practice had already reached the peak of perfection.

After starting to imitate him, his breathing efficiency improved and so did his posture.

After he reached 1 km, Arthur suddenly felt heavier, and even trembled a little bit of instability, but immediately adjusted. Ignoring what happened, he continued to run.

After reaching the 2nd kilometer, the same thing happened and Arthur, who almost fell, realized that this was not normal. With an increase in weight, the race became a little more difficult, but nothing he couldn't take.

In the 3rd and 4th kilometers the same thing happened, and now Arthur was already sweating constantly, struggling to run. Silva, at his side, thought he was finally getting tired, but said nothing. The limits must be constantly reached for formidable growth.

In the 5th and 6th kilometers Arthur was already running a little more slowly, trying to get used to all the weight of his body. He was feeling his body being pulled down very hard, and all his organs and muscles were being held in place with only his extreme willpower. His breathing was very heavy and, with not much help from his lungs under pressure, he sucked more and more air to support his body.

Silva seeing all this was about to stop him, but Arthur nodded his head. He needed to do this without interruption to complete the quest perfectly.

At the 7th and 8th kilometers, Arthur's mind went on alert, as his organs were being injured by the movements. His bone marrow started to produce more blood, his mind thinking of ways to adapt and not get hurt. The muscles were being destroyed and rebuilt with incredible speed. His cells were bundling up in the organs to make them stronger under the effect of gravity. His bones consumed energy like crazy to be more resistant and robust.

Several system announcements constantly rang in his ears.

...

When he finally reached the 10th kilometer, Arthur suddenly felt all that force that was pushing him down suddenly disappear. But instead of him accelerating suddenly, he collapsed on the floor.

'I finally understood why the difficulty is' Hell '!' Arthur was thinking wryly. After his body suffered the real hell in these last two kilometers, even with all the help of the system making him stronger, it was the worst thing he went through, taking out his body restructuring when he was reborn. There were moments when his willpower was all he had, because his muscles had been failing for a long time.

Silva, breathing as calmly as when he started, with just a little sweat on his forehead, watched the scene silently, a little shocked.

'It is a really difficult training for those who have never tried. Especially for a smoker. Really impressive! ' After receiving Arthur's negative nod earlier, Silva saw the determination in his eyes, so he didn't say anything else during the race and just accompanied him. Little does he know that not even he would be able to do the same thing that Arthur did.

"So, young man. What's the next exercise?" Giving hand to lift Arthur off the floor, Silva asked softly.

Completely drenched in sweat, and a little dizzy, Arthur thanked him for his help and said, "100 push-ups."

"Okay. But, can you handle it?" A little doubt was in Silva's voice.

"Nothing better than trying to find out, isn't it?" A brave smile appeared on Arthur's tired face.

After taking 500ml of water, Arthur continued with the exercises.

In push-ups, as well as running, he imitated the way Silva performed the exercises and calmly started the push-ups. After reaching 20th, the same change occurred and it became more difficult. In the 40th and 60th it was much more, and the same difficulties plagued and destroyed Arthur's muscles. When it reached 80th, all posterior flexion was a gigantic effort, taking up to 1 minute in the process of each. His body was being destroyed and regenerated many times to count, gradually tempering it and removing its impurities. Several system warnings rang in the background, saying that their statistics were going up. When he finally reached 100th, the same thing happened and Arthur collapsed on the floor, his whole body hurting.

Even with all this, he did all the exercises and repetitions until the complete exhaustion of the body, always imitating and learning from Silva during the process. His Will had grown much stronger, now carrying a feeling of heaviness.

Arthur was now much thinner, but much stronger than before. His body had used up all the energy it had to help him train, consuming whatever fat or energy he had. Logically, it was not enough and his body was still a little deficient and a great hunger was plaguing his stomach.

Not to mention his body control. Now he could feel anything in his body, from the movement of his muscles to the consequent reactions of his heartbeat.

Silva was looking at him with a shocked expression at his side. 'Did this guy manage to do such a heavy workout on the first day, since he looked so weak back in Reunion? He hadn't even run 100 meters and was tired, and his punch didn't even hurt the other boy's nose very much. His determination really is his greatest weapon! '

Arthur, lying on the floor, with his body completely devastated, only felt joy. 'That shit was really hell! It didn't even come close to what I imagined. At least I completed the quest. It's time to see what those benefits are. '
