Why Did You Do That?

Entering the house, Arthur immediately noticed the difference between rich people and poor people. He was sure that every pillar inside that house was more expensive than building a house for four people. His house was obviously not inferior, he just focused on different points.

"Wait a minute, I have to dry my tears here. It's very bright." Arthur paused for a moment and pretended to wipe his eyes. He said that because the house was white with gold accents, and it was very clean. What he also noticed was the absence of other people, such as housekeepers, cooks, etc.

It was full of classic furniture and clearly refined wood. Pots of plants were everywhere, and beautiful paintings were displayed on the walls.

"You can't go long without making a joke, can you?" Beatrice just rolled her eyes at Arthur and was already heading upstairs.

"Better than not being able to go too long without crying, don't you think?" Arthur looked at the paintings as he made that comment.

But what he missed was Beatrice's body shivering a little before she collected herself and continued up.

With an almost glazed but respectful gaze, Arthur took in the view of Beatrice's back. The dress had a small opening in the back that exposed some of her silky brown skin. Her slender legs were also on display, and Arthur's thoughts didn't turn to something more indecent because his shorts would give him away.

'I have to start getting better shorts... too much visibility...'

Walking up the stairs with her, they quickly reached the second floor. It was in the same architectural structure and there wasn't much difference in the details. Passing through some areas, Arthur soon arrived in a huge room.

"This is usually the room I stay in. That's my bedroom." Beatrice pointed to a slightly large door to a bedroom.

The room they were in was clean and without much decoration. But what caught one's attention was a beautiful piano right in the corner, next to the window. Where it was was very close to the entrance to a balcony and had an exceptionally beautiful view, which accompanied by a cool breeze would make a great picture.

"Do you play?" Arthur asked as his fingers lightly touched the piano. He didn't go near the keys, but simply admired the piano, as if he was enjoying an orchestra in his mind.

Beatrice's cheeks flushed a little as she looked at Arthur. In that moment he looked completely different from a few moments ago, when all he knew was jokes. He now looked serious and a great fan of this instrument.

"Y-yes, sometimes. But I'm just a beginner, I haven't had time to delve into this." When she caught on to Arthur's question, she answered hastily.

"So what does a pretty young rich girl do in her spare time? Do you spend your time in a majestic library fit for royalty?" Arthur dropped that serious look as he forcibly stopped touching the piano.

"I'll get the laptop!" Beatrice went straight to her room, trying to hide her flushed cheeks from Arthur. He had just given her a lot of compliments. And either he must be very good at hiding, or those words have just come out of his heart. 'But although I never noticed when he lied...'

While Beatrice went to get her laptop, Arthur went out onto the balcony. It was covered and looked like a half moon. There were two sofas in the covered area and a coffee table in front, all above a rug. It looked like a great place to rest for the night.

Moving to the balcony bench, Arthur ran his fingers lightly. His eyes roamed all over the place. He then walked back to the sofas and sat down, waiting for her.

"Arthur?" Beatrice called from inside.

"Here!" Arthur raised his hands and waved. The windows were transparent, so one could see the movement of the back of his hand from inside.

Beatrice then appeared on the balcony. Her long hair had been tied in a bun, but she still had the back hair loose. She had two bangs in particular that outlined her face and made her look even better.

'Fuck-fuck- my God... I'll end up embarrassing myself...' Arthur settled himself on the couch, as if he was holding back something. He placed the notebook on top of his crotch, wondering if that would be enough.

Beatrice sat on the other couch and said to him, "Aline called and it looks like she's not coming today. I said it was okay and that you and I could do it now and then we'd arrange the lines. Can it be like this?" Beatrice didn't look at him as she said that. She was trying to hide her flushed cheeks and also so he wouldn't find out she was hiding something. That something was that Aline immediately hung up when she found out that the two were going to be together, and the rest was just made up history.

"Everything is fine. But why are you there? This couch here is big enough to fit our entire class." Arthur didn't look away from her as he pointed at the couch.

"It gets more wind here..." Beatrice made a random excuse to ease her embarrassment at being on the same couch with him.

"Oh really? So let me see." Arthur got up and sat on the other end of the couch, a little way away from Beatrice, who was on the other side. Since she didn't want to be near him, he wouldn't force the issue. But he also wouldn't be stupid to miss the chance to get close to her.

"A-All right. You will search by cell phone and send any reliable source of information to my cell phone. I'll organize and make the slides." Beatrice pulled herself together a little and left the task to Arthur.

"Wiki-" Arthur spell out the letters he wrote on his cell phone.

"I said reliable!" Beatrice laughed and spoke to him.

So they started to work. During the week they had two more presentations, so in addition to history, there was another one on geography and sociology.

Arthur researched everything and sent it to Beatriz's whatsapp, which was connected to the laptop and could open the links directly. To avoid a copy and paste, they read the lines and converted it into a dignified speech with the most crucial information. That was the moment for Arthur to do his standup show for Beatrice to burst out laughing.

"Hey!" Arthur suddenly called out. He had secretly stolen a blackboard pencil from Beatrice's pencil case.

"What?" At that moment they were already close to each other, and Arthur conquered that during the 2 hours they were doing the work.

As soon as she turned to look at him, Arthur scribbled a line across her cheek.

"Oh! Why did you do that?" She looked down at the tip of the pencil and touched her cheeks. But what she got in response was another scrawl from Arthur on the other cheek.

"Just two more..." Arthur was already bringing the pencil closer to her.

"Leave! Here for you!" Beatrice got a little angry and grabbed a blackboard pencil too. She accidentally dodged some of Arthur's moves, making only two new lines appear on her face. She then jumped on top of him while laughing and pinned him down, drawing a mustache across his face.

"haha ha! Well done!" She laughed as she celebrated her victory. "Hey, not again!" She was still feeling victorious when Arthur scribbled on her arm with a big line. She immediately did the same to him, and they got into a scribble war.

What they ignored was the fact that Arthur was underneath, while Beatrice innocently climbed higher and higher on top of him. And also that they didn't realize that the pens were permanent.

Their touches and attempts to defend himself only brought them closer. Arthur even dared to pull her out suddenly and draw a long line from foot to knee.

"Aaar!" Arthur sighed, a little "tired".

Beatrice got tired of this prank too, and she already had a few drops of sweat on her forehead. It was at that moment that she realized that she was already very close to Arthur, almost giving herself to him.

"Ah..." She jumped back a little, hiding her flushed face.

"I'm hungry…want to order pizza?" Arthur changed the subject, but the smile on his face didn't go away. He wasn't playing with Beatrice because he wanted to get to what happened now. But yes, she seemed quite focused, as if she forgot about her surroundings. Arthur wasn't much for being quiet when he was with the people he liked, so he tried to get attention. What came after is profit.

"Won't it be too late for you to go? It will be dark soon." They spent about two hours at work, and along with that prank now, it was almost 4:30 pm. A pizza takes a while, especially at this address, so leaving after 6pm would still be little. She was worried that he was going to get out on his feet and something would happen. But she wasn't going to tell him that either. 'It's not like I dislike his presence...'

"Whats the flavor? I will open the game. Half chicken with catupiry and half pepperoni with bacon and lots of onion. With cheddar edges, of course!" Arthur already had the app open at the pizzeria when she asked.

Beatrice's eyes gleamed for a moment. "It might be!" She spoke, hiding the excitement inside her. That pizza was her favorite thing to eat, coincidentally.

"Do you like this flavor? I'll order a smaller chocolate one too!"

"How did you know this was my favorite pizza?"

"Your kitchen had a pizza box and my nose is sensitive. Not to mention that I had eaten her with my brother not long ago." He said it almost as an excuse, but that's really what happened. He got the pizza idea when he saw the box, and the smell reminded him of what they had eaten two days ago.

"You're quite observant..." Beatrice looked deeply at him.

"Only for what's worth to see..." Arthur stared back, but he's meaning was clear.

"I'm going to take a bath. You get the pizzas!" Beatrice stood up as she got her things. She looked a little rushed. Her body was full of pen marks, and it would be hard to get rid of them. She didn't want to be with him like this. 'He even had the gall to draw a rabbit mustache on me!'

"And will I receive the pizzas like this?" Arthur pointed at his mustache. He looked like an old-time general, with a thick, thin mustache. Without taking away all the other drawings she made on his face. He got excited just remembering how they were at that moment.

"Shouldn't you shoulder the responsibilities?" Beatrice stifled a laugh as she looked at him. She couldn't take it after seeing his pleading look. "There's a bathroom downstairs, third door on the left in the big hall."

"Thank you!" Arthur also got up and went to the bathroom she indicated. He had left his things behind, including his cell phone, next to hers.

Beatrice also went to the bathroom and didn't remember her cell phone.

"That goof made me laugh all day!" Still remembering Arthur's jokes, a smile appeared on Beatrice's face. She was immersed in a tub of fragrant petals, with soap and bubbles everywhere. 'It's been many years since I've had this fun...'

As she lost herself in her own memories, her body sank slightly into the water. The bathtub was big enough for her to float. After spending some time on this, Arthur's mustachioed face popped into her mind again and she sat down on the tub, almost laughing again.

"But we're from different worlds... Why am I thinking that??" With a lost look, Beatrice looked at the bathroom door. But she soon realized what she had been thinking and pushed those thoughts away.

"The pizzas have arrived!" Arthur's loud voice was heard by her from her bedroom bathroom.

The room was soundproofed, so no matter what she said, he wouldn't hear it. She had already removed the paint from her body, so she wrapped herself in a towel and left the bathroom. Her hair wasn't wet as it didn't need to be washed.

As she was looking for a suitable outfit, a melody suddenly entered her room, a classical melody that attracted her just to hear.
