What to do?

Arthur's red eye began to undergo some changes. Its color began to get darker and darker and a deep shade of blood before turning golden. Then the green color came back again and everything was normal.

Throwing the man next to the table, Arthur broke both of his legs with two kicks.

"Locations." A simple word came out of his mouth.

"W-what are you talking about? Aaaaargh!" The man asked amidst the desperation he felt, only to receive a kick in the arm that broke it.

"Where are your comrades? Wait, you don't have to. I'm very angry and I forgot..." Arthur hadn't remembered until now his skills. He slapped his hand on the man's forehead.

"Aargh! No- Your orders, master!" The man tried to avoid Arthur's hand, but he couldn't. Before he could finish shouting, his tone had already changed to that of a servant.

"Who do you work for?"

"All I know is that it's a network of information that was passed on to me. But I have suspicions that there was someone controlling from the outside so as not to be affected. All the information is there." The man seemed to have lost his soul and speaks as if he obeyed his savior. He had also pointed to a drawer.

Opening the drawer, which appeared to have some sort of password he'd cracked, Arthur pulled out some pictures of him and Amanda, as well as a flash drive. There was also a phone with password and some files below

Looking at Amanda passed out in the chair, Arthur's eyes didn't reveal the slightest bit of emotion.

"I'll deal with you later..."

Unlocking the phone with the fat man's fingerprint, Arthur searched just before finding files with information. This cell phone only served that purpose, so it was easy to find.

The locations of possible bases within the city and so on. With this information in hand, Arthur kept this cell phone in the Inventory.

He went to Amanda with a small rag and pulled out her gun. He cleaned it up before handing it to the fat man with a simple command. He then grabbed Amanda and jumped out the window. His foot slammed into a pole before he jumped back to the ground and into the alley he was in. Above him there was another gunshot that probably caught the attention of the neighborhood.

On the school lawn, a little way away from the square where students usually hang out, Arthur was lying down and listening to music. The ground was damp and icy, thanks to the night rain and the hot afternoon sun. It made it cold, but not wet.

His eyes looked up at the sky above, a little unfocused and confused.

He was currently thinking about what to do with Amanda. He had no problem killing her, even if it hurt a little. Life has taught him many things, and mercy with the conscious was not one of them.

He was in doubt from everything he'd heard while he was outside the building. Yes, it was a betrayal. But it wasn't her first, and she didn't look like she wanted to do that. Not to mention someone important to her was at stake. Arthur would have done the same if not worse to complete this mission faster and rescue that precious person for him. That was exactly why he was hesitating about what to do with her.

"Hi?" Emily's lush face appeared in his field of vision. She was on her feet and looking at him too.

He already knew she was coming, which was why he'd taken off his headphones. He thought flashing a smile would be nice, but he wasn't able to smile in his current situation.

"Are you okay?" She sat beside him on the lawn. The spot where they were was just behind a big bush and no one could see them here. That's why she took so long to find Arthur. Since morning he's seemed kind of awkward and not at all conversational.

"Better now..." Arthur still chuckled.

"Can you tell me what happened? We're friends, so you can talk if you want..." She saw that Arthur wasn't well, so she insisted on talking. She was caressing his back at the moment.

"I don't know... I've never been much for talking. How are you?" Arthur tried to change the subject. What he had to resolve was personal and difficult to put into words. Also, he was never the one that talked to other people about his feelings.

"Hmmph! Come here and tell me!" Emily pouted at Arthur's dodge attempt and pulled his head into her lap. She was very red at this point, taking the initiative to do this. But they've kind of done a lot of things too many times, so this wouldn't be any different. Not to mention that friends could do that, right?

Somewhat impressed by this, Arthur let himself go. When his head rested on Emily's soft thighs, it was like he'd gone to heaven. The good smell, the softness and the heat. It was like the perfect place to be. Even more so when her thin, graceful hands began to stroke his hair. He almost fell asleep right there.

"If you don't tell me, I'll stop!" Seeing that he was enjoying her affection so much, Emily almost jumped of joy. But she held back her red cheeks and enjoyed the beautiful sight that was Arthur.

"Do you ever feel lost?" Arthur asked suddenly.

Taken a little by surprise by the question that could be superficial, but also very profound, Emily replied: "Yes, sometimes. A moment when I don't know what to do right. It was usually always a moment where, no matter what I did, it would be bad."

"But what about when the results of the actions were different? When you knew what action to take but didn't have the courage, or else it would break your principles."

"It really is something complicated. This depends a lot on the point of view and the value of the decisions. Is this important to you?"

"I do not know. Not always what I think will happen, will actually happen. I'm afraid of taking action that will backfire on me in a worse way."

"So you must do what your heart says. We cannot always control the outcome. But we can control how we react to this outcome and how to turn it in our favor."

With that last sentence from Emily, Arthur seems to have glimpsed something. It was an answer that already existed within him, but the fact that he was talking made it all that much clearer..

"Psychology?" He asked with a smile.

"Biomedicine." Emily returned the smile. Seeing Arthur smile made her heart relax and her advice must have worked.

"Waste of talent..."

The two remain there, without further thanks. Arthur stopped thinking further and surrendered to Emily's affection. As for her, it was as if she were bursting with happiness to see Arthur like this, enjoying her touch so much.

When she saw that Arthur didn't want to tell the exact situation, Emily felt a little sad. But at the same time she was glad he'd at least opened up to her.

When it was close to the end of the break, Arthur got up. He was controlling himself too much not to sleep with Emily's affection.

"I'm going to want more of these sessions. I almost felt like I was in heaven." He helped her up too.

"And why almost?" She asked with a smile. She internally agreed that they should just do more of this. She loved cuddling him and watching him almost indulge in her cuddles.

"Because everyone says heaven is a place full of angels. But I only see one here..." He looked into her eyes before walking away. He took slow steps for her to follow him.

"You have a sweet mouth, don't you?" Emily patted Arthur's shoulder as she laughed to cover up her shyness.

"Want to taste it?" Arthur was shameless and asked.

"Who wants to taste? Silly!" Emily huffed as she nodded and went ahead.

But when she turned to look at him, she noticed his eyes on her body. Normally she would have been disgusted by looks like that, but his gaze didn't contain the perversion that the others had, and she liked it very much. But that made her walk faster, because she wouldn't be able to face him anymore.

In an abandoned house, a little way out of town. The house was poorly lit and there was no furniture in the house, apart from a lot of dust. The heavy rain outside was making rumblings that made a little more dust fall.

There were two chairs and a table in the center of this house with no interior walls. In one was a beautiful woman, her eyes closed and looking like she was sleeping.

In the other was a young man completely drenched in water, taking off his clothes. When he took them off, one could see blood marks all over the place. Knife cuts, bullet punctures, purple bruises from heavy punches.

On the table in front of the two chairs were some first-aid boxes, some cell phones, files, and a pistol. There were also some snacks.

With the sound of thunder, the sleeping woman slowly woke up. Looking around her, she tried to remain calm as she reminisced about her last waked moments. She tried to feel her nether parts as she remembered a few things. But she saw that everything was normal.

When her eyes focused on the figure in front of her, she startled a little.

"Good night." Arthur was cleaning and pulling some bullets out of his shoulder at the moment.

"What are you going to do with me? Torture me or are you going to rape me?" Amanda didn't reveal many emotions. She was looking indifferently at Arthur.

"You have a pretty gloomy thought, don't you? Your life was complicated. But neither, in case you're curious. I'm the same person you knew, I didn't have to fake anything." Arthur took the bullet from his shoulder and threw it to the ground with a splash of blood. After cleaning the wound, it was possible to see it healing quickly.

"Are you so confident in yourself letting me loose?" Amanda kept looking at Arthur. His last sentence was clearly a tease, but she had no argument against it.

"Sure. How are you going to help me if you're tied up?" Arthur took the last bullet out of his torso. He got up, grabbed the chair and the first-aid kit, and walked over to Amanda's front. He sat up and turned his back on her.

"Aren't you afraid I might kill you now?" She still stood quiet.

"That doesn't work with me. Get the fucking tweezers right now." Arthur snorted coldly.

Amanda was now feeling very confused. She imagined that Arthur would act very differently from what was happening now. She had already resolved to kill herself because she had no more hope. If she continued, she would be desecrated. If she escaped alive, she would be pursued. And she knew Arthur wasn't stupid, so she was sure to be killed.

"Hesitating is not part of you. Do it soon!" Arthur's voice came again as he took a file from the table, along with Amanda's cell phone.

"How did you find out?" She took the medical forceps out of the box and started taking out the bullets. There were a total of seven, which left shallow holes in his skin. She was in the military and knew that the potency of the weapons these bullets came from was not low. 'This boy is a monster!'

"From the moment you did exactly what you're doing now. I never trusted you completely."

"And why did you let me into your house and take shelter?"

"Is there a better place for the enemy than by your side?"

"Did you put a tracker on my cell phone?"

"Yes. And an audio pickup too."

"Don't you think I should be dead by now?"

"And why should I think so? If I were in the same situation as you, your head would have been detached from your body a long time ago. Hesitation is not part of a military woman, is it?"

"Do you know my history too?"

"From the moment I freed you. I'm sorry for your tragic story."

"So what are you going to do to me?"

"I will use you until the day you die. It's like a marriage contract, only we're just friends. Could it be like that for you?"

Tears Amanda couldn't control were already streaming down her face.

"Sorry..." She spoke in a choked voice.

"Do not apologize. If I were weaker, I would have died by now. Let's take this as you owing me a favor. By the way, I couldn't find her, so find a way to look for her yourself. If you need help, just call me." Arthur tossed her a car key. There was also a cell phone nearby with information on the whereabouts of the person she was looking for.

"You're an idiot. Do you really do anything for a woman? You know, I'm a lesbian and I already have a wife. You're wasting time trying to conquer me." Amanda managed to squeeze a laugh out of her tears.

"I'll kill you if you don't do this right, so stop crying."

So the two stayed in that house. Amanda was doing the dressings deftly and soon Arthur was bandaged all over the place.

But what she didn't know, was that outside that house and inside the city, a certain organization was in an uproar.
