Advance Level Skill Sets...

Zarius was in a very bad mood. After finally getting hands on the recently approved gene reagent formula from the gene association, he had tried again and again just to produce a single vial of reagent, however, this was the first time he had actually failed to produce a reagent in a single try.

Cross that, he had failed ten times before he was able to finally produce a single reagent. He couldn't understand it. Never had he before ever felt so helpless about the situation. He had planned to derive a new formula especially just for himself after understanding the new reagent.

But now, he had no idea of how this particular reagent even came to be. He had tried again and again just to fail again and again. Though he was able to produce another vial of reagent, he still had no idea on how this was produced. Deriving a new formula was a far off dream.

On top of that, both reagents he produced didn't have any v-compatible feature. He was grabbing his hair with that fury so hard, the only thing left for him to do was to uproot his hair from the head.

"I don't believe that producer failed to produce a single reagent while working on it. Hmm, did he presented the useless formula derived from the original? Yes, that could be the reason "

Zarius concluded the reason for the current situation inside his head.

"Just you wait, you damn weasel. I will make a new formula out of this with a hundred percent success rate."

Whether he will succeed at his clam, no one knew.

....

Inside the starcruiser, Eden was looking at his system. Today he was taking a look over the price of the skills that were on advanced stages. Finally, he started to feel troubling.

The set of each advanced stage skill cost started at the price of thousands SP. Till now, he had only bought the skills that were of the beginner stage. After looking at the price of advanced stage skills, he went ahead and looked at the price of master stage skills, which started at the price of ten thousand SP.

If Eden was to complete in a competition that was comprised of an entire star cluster, with a beginner level skill set he would be making a fool of himself. Eden knew that even if he was one of the best students until he graduated, that meant nothing when they were to fight in this competition.

The moment the students graduated from high school, the first thing they would do was to go through a brain implant.

Why? To increase their memory capabilities of course. Then there were also gene reagents focused on increasing mental capabilities, to increase the mental attributes.

Still, that didn't mean they were going to be able to comprehend all the new stuff at once. Adding mental attributes, didn't make people smart. It just increases a person's mental capabilities, like studying, writing, comprehending, and so forth. To fully understand and be able to make a great difference, they needed time and lots of them.

And this was exactly, what the students were going to do after graduation. Take the gene reagents, go through brain implants, and study on the way towards the competition.

And right now inside the starcruiser, Eden was looking at these graduates that were staring inside their new books with crimson eyes as if their lives depend on it. Though it looked stupid now, Eden knew just what kind of competitors they were going to be when he had to face them by himself one on one.

"Hey, Eden."

Suddenly he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Mark! You are going to Serene Cluster too!"

"Yes, remember the graduates I got from you, they were planning on competing in the competition as well." Looking at the scene around Mark continued, "God they are everywhere. What about you? Aren't you planning on studying as well?"

"I haven't added any implants nor consumed any regents."

"What? How are going to compete with them?" Mark questioned pointing around them.

Won't you like to know? Smirking Eden replied, "I don't want to force myself too much. As long as I can make my name in this competition, it's enough."

"Oh! I guess that's good too."

"Alright, I will go to my room to take a nap. Have fun around."

"Have fun?" Mark questioned while looking around at the graduates that were everywhere, even the lodge."And how am I supposed to do that?"

"Sorry!" Eden replied while shaking his head, looking at the sight around them.

Entering his booked room Eden laid down in the bed. Opening the system at the same place he was before at the advanced skills pages, he finally made up his mind. "Well I am gonna have to buy these stuff anyway, why not buy it right now than later."

Scrolling down he chose whole advance sets of skills rather than choosing a stepwise level of the skills one after another. "Hmm, each set contains complete knowledge from minimum to max levels. And the cost of the set is a little bit less. It will be quite profitable in long run." Eden mumbled while looking at the price.

And just like that, one hundred fifty thousand SP, gone. But Eden felt something off. Cause he didn't get anything.

"Umm! System?"

[Please ready yourself in the most comfortable position. All the skills and knowledge implantation procedure will begin in five seconds after this message. The host body will be knocked out for a certain period, based on the sets number. So please try to be as patient as possible.]

Eden spoke startled, "What do you mean knocke..."
