Chapter 101 : Intel

The buzzing sound of the spaceship's engine surrounds Axion as she ventures through the silent vacuum of space. She transfers all data from her Astraeus devices to her personal device. After getting all the data she needs, she destroys all devices made by the Astraeus station and throws them out of the ship.

"This way, they won't be able to track me," she mumbled.

She put her palm on her forehead and let out a long sigh. All the problems, the emotions, the confusion. Everything that she needs to suppress inside her is starting to build up beyond her limit.

A part of her wanted to leave. But another part of her wished to be saved.

She frowned. She looked at the screen in front of her. The destination is locked on the Milky Way galaxy. Without thinking much longer, she changed her destination to a planet.

-------------------------------------------------

Kaizo slammed the table. "Alright. What do we have so far?" he asked.

"I did what you asked. Based on ny calculations, Axion went through the garden here and made her way towards the west gate," said Rum.

"I had my people check the list of spaceships that were bought and rented for the past 3 days. With clues from Rum, we narrowed it down only to spaceships that leave through the west gate," said Isadore through the holographic screen.

"And?"

"We found a man who sold a spaceship to Noche," said Isadore. He gestured to his side and Guillermo came into screen, dragging a bluish skinny man with a small pointy beard. The skinny man nervously chuckled.

Kaizo looked at him sharp.

"I… Uhh… Hello," the skinny man greeted.

"Tell them what you know," said Isadore.

"What do I know? Hohoho. I know many things. I know you can buy space chicken eggs for half price at Dolores poultry. You can also find fresh chicken meat from her. I also know her husband…"

Isadore slammed the table, cutting off the skinny alien. "Stop talking nonsense and tell us about the ship you sold to Noche!"

"Oh.. Oh… that. Why didn't you say so? Hehehe… I thought you were asking for tips," said the skinny man.

Guillermo held the skinny man tightly. Ready to break his bone at any moment. The skinny man groans.

"Ow… ow… ow alright alright. I'll tell. I'll tell. Hufffttt…. Noche paid me to get her a small and fast spacecraft a few days ago. It was a hard order, you know? Getting a ship ready in just 3 days. But the money is good. Good thing I know my way around here," the skinny man confessed.

"Do you know where she's going?" Kaizo asked.

"I don't know."

Guillermo picks his collar and lifts him.

"She didn't tell me! I don't know! I- I swear! I don't know where she went!" the skinny man panicked.

Kaizo nodded at Guillermo. Guillermo put down the skinny man. The skinny man sighs in relief.

"Tell us everything you know about the spacecraft," said Kaizo.

"Well…."the skinny man reluctantly answered.

"You better answer me fast or I'll make you regret being alive," said Kaizo with a cold tone.

The skinny man shrieked. "Uuhhh… alright. It's a second hand spacecraft. But the quality is still good. It's an ion drive starship."

"Is there a way to track it?" Ramenman asked.

"Not that I know of…"

"What about the ship's serial number?" Rum asked.

"I think I have it."

"Can you give us every detail of that Ion starship? Like a brochure, records…." said Ramenman.

"Of course, of course. I can give you that. Heheh… with a tiny little bit of price…"

Guillermo suddenly grabbed his hand. The skinny man shrieked.

"Money is not a problem," said Kaizo.

"Aha… hahaha of course. I know you'd understand. We people of Star market need to make a living after all," the skinny man chuckled.

"Get the spaceship running. We're leaving as soon as he sends us what we need," said Kaizo.

Lahap nodded. He went to the cockpit and turned on the engine.

--------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, at Astraeus station….

"We are certain there's a sign of her magic in this station. Clearly, the Admiral was lying," said Verchiel.

"We're not sure about that. There's a chance that the Admiral might have been manipulated or he just doesn't know at all," said Valerius.

"I'm sure we can find a clue here. I can almost feel it. We can't risk letting her be any longer. Have you forgotten what her existence has cost us?" said Verchiel.

Valerius lowered his head. His face becomes grim. How could he forget the day his sister burned down everything.

"We must pressure Admiral Maskmana to give her to us," Verchiel insisted.

"What do you think she left here?" Zivon suddenly asked. His voice is cold as ever.

They look at Zivon who has been watching the bustling hangar through the spaceship's window.

"What kind of creation did you think she left in this station?" Zivon asked again.

"I am not sure. But I can sense her magic. It was so thick. If only we can go through that room and see for ourselves…." said Verchiel.

"Hmm…." Valerius lowered his head and think. "Let's ask around this station. If she's really here, surely someone would've seen her."

"I don't think we need to do that," said Zivon.

Verchiel and Valerius looked at each other. They approached Zivon and looked through the spaceship window, wondering what Zivon saw.

A group of rangers has just landed in the hangar. And among those rangers, a man has a very thick trace of magic. A magic that Valerius has been looking for.
