Resurrection Arc 12

"So how's your meeting with your new friends yesterday?" Suhani asked sarcastically.

"It went well. And it will keep going well if you behave," said Kaizo coldly.

"Ugh. What are we waiting for?" Suhani asks with frustration. "You already know their main base. You already found the Apostles. Why aren't we raiding them?"

"The Umbran Society is a big organization. They don't exist just in Ireland. They could spread to this entire planet. I need to find every name of the Umbran Society mages to wipe them all for good," said Kaizo.

"But it's gonna take years. How many would die until then?!"

"I told you, I will finish this as soon as I can."

"Well, you better hurry. Because my patience is running low. And I don't think letting more victims die is going to make me feel better," said Suhani.

Kaizo ignored her last words and walk away. He rides his motorbike and heads out of the ship.

Kaizo driving down the lonely road with gloomy clouds looming above him. As he drives through the winds, he notices something flying behind him in the rearview mirror. Something white sticking out of the grey sky. He raised his speed, trying to outrun it. It keeps following him through turns and fogs.

"What a persistent bloody angel," Kaizo thought to himself. He revs the engine and his motorbike roar loudly.

Valerius flies faster. He hovers beside Kaizo.

"Pull over!" Valerius yells as he waves his hand, gesturing for him to stop.

Kaizo ignores his words. Instead, he raises his speed even more.

Seeing as Kaizo doesn't stop, Valerius cast a spell. He cast a fireball at the front tire of the motorbike. He then cast a protection spell on Kaizo.

Kaizo's motorbike turned over. He was thrown away and rolled on the harsh asphalt. His motorbike was destroyed on impact. Pieces of metal are scattered on the road. He grunts as he tried to get back up. He looked at the white angel in the distance.

Valerius landed and fold his wings. He walks towards Kaizo who kneels on the road. Even under the shade of his visor, Valerius can feel a gaze of hatred towards him.

Kaizo pulls his helmet and throws it away. "What?! You want me dead too now?!" he furiously yelled.

"Cease this madness, Kaizo! The Order of Verchiel has decided to put an end to the Umbran Society," said Valerius.

"Who cares?! I've been to war before. I don't fear you!" Kaizo replied.

"Believe me," said Valerius with a concerned tone. "Whatever the Umbran promised you to give, they won't give it."

"Like how your sister believed that you are a righteous brother? Like how everyone in your kingdom believed that you can save them?" Kaizo asked sarcastically. "Why didn't you save her, Valerius? Is she not one of your people? What right is it to trust a man who killed his own blood."

"What my sister did was wrong!" Valerius yelled.

"You don't have the right to call her your sister!" Kaizo yelled back. "You never loved her as you should. You never gave her her due. And you have the audacity to tell what's right?!"

"You can't bring her back, Kaizo."

"Oh yes I can," Kaizo nodded fast. "I must try."

"The angels are not in your favor. They think you're evil for correlating with her. And now, your involvement with Umbran will only make it worse," said Valerius. "Verchiel will have you executed."

"So you're going to seriously kill me now? See if I can meet her in the Underworld?"

"I don't think it will work that way. But it's worth trying."

They both pulled their sword and lunged toward each other. Their swords clash and fall into a sword lock. Kaizo pushed Valerius back. He spins his sword over his head and goes for Valerius' left side. Valerius reflexively parried. Drown in anguish, Kaizo's attacks are fierce and endless.

Valerius is stuck in a defensive state. Parrying Kaizo's heavy attacks. He pulled out his wings and flapped back to put distance between them. He used his wings to push him and quickly lunged at Kaizo. Kaizo quickly parried. Slightly floating mid-air, Valerius keeps attacking Kaizo from above. With his wings out, his agility raised. Kaizo swung his sword up. Slightly uncomfortable because he had to keep looking up.

Valerius goes high to the sky, thinking he can get the upper hand in the air. Kaizo uses his energy shield to make a stepping stone to make up for his lack and chase him.

Valerius makes wide maneuvers in the air, trying to outpower him with his flying ability. He takes a distance before he flies straight toward Kaizo and thrust him with all his might.

Kaizo acts quickly. He turned off his energy shield and let himself fall to avoid Valerius' attack. Before he hit the ground, Kaizo activates his energy and uses it again as a stepping stone. Using gravity and wits, he tries to outsmart Valerius.

Valerius tried the same technique to see if he can catch Kaizo mid-air during his fall. But instead of turning off his energy shield and letting himself fall, Kaizo moved slightly higher to the side. He quickly jumps from one shield to another and goes above Valerius' back. He swings his sword, trying to cut Valerius' wings.

Valerius immediately spins his back so that his wings face the ground. He caught Kaizo's sword with his sword and fall harsh to the ground with his wings first.

Kaizo landed on the ground, watching Valerius struggle to stand back up.

Valerius groaned. He breathed heavily. He musters his magic power and cast a lightning bolt toward Kaizo. Kaizo used his energy shield to deflect his attack and in turn, sent a bolt of dark magic toward Valerius. Surprised, Valerius took the blow and got thrown back. He looked at Kaizo in disbelief.

"You… you learned dark magic?!"

"Surprised? Turn's out there are a lot of things I can learn from the Necromantia," said Kaizo.

"What have you've done? You just step into a path of no turning back."

"Bold of you to think that I ever want to go back. A world without her is not a world I want to go back to," said Kaizo grimly.

"You're going to regret this," said Valerius.

"Maybe," Kaizo shrugs. "But I'm sure as hell going to make you regret everything," he said menacingly.

"So be it…." Valerius mumbled.

Seeing as his words can't get through Kaizo, Valerius flies away, leaving fate to decide what to become of Kaizo.

At the main base of the order of Verchiel, Zivon patiently waits upon the terrace of the flying palace of angels. Valerius calmly landed and approach him.

"So, how is it?" Zivon asked.

"Not good. Kaizo insisted on going with the Umbran," Valerius replied. "We're going to purge him along with the Umbrans," he said grimly.
