Description

Mechanical Engineering is a profession that concerns itself with mechanical design, energy conversion, fuel and combustion technologies, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration systems, fire-protection systems, heat transfer, materials, noise control, and acoustics, manufacturing processes, rail transportation, automatic control, product safety and reliability, solar energy, and technological impacts to the society.

Mechanical engineers study the behavior of materials when forces are applied to them, such as the motion of solids, liquids, gases, and heating and cooling of objects and machines. Using these basic building blocks, mechanical engineers design vehicles, trains, airplanes, power plants, furnaces, cold storage plants, air-conditioning systems, intelligent machines, and robots.

Professionals who are in this area also work in various fields such as jet engine design, submarines, hot air balloons, textiles and new materials, medical and hospital equipment, refrigerators, and other home appliances. Anything that is mechanical or must interact with another machine or human being is within the broad scope of mechanical engineering.

The mechanical engineering field requires an understanding of core areas including mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity. In addition to these core principles, mechanical engineers use tools such as computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons, and others. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery.

Career Opportunities

The BS in Mechanical Engineering Program of the University equips its graduates with technical knowledge and up-to-date skills that will lead them to the following career opportunities: 

Consultation, valuation, investigation, and management services requiring mechanical engineering knowledge.

Engineering design, preparation of plans, specifications, and project studies or estimates for mechanical equipment, machinery, or processes of any mechanical works, projects, or plants.

Management or supervision of the erection, installation, alteration, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment, machinery, or processes in mechanical works, projects, or plants.

Management or supervision of the manufacture, sale, supply, or distribution of mechanical equipment, machinery, or processes in mechanical works, projects, or plants.

The teaching of mechanical engineering professional subjects or subjects in the Mechanical Engineering licensure examination in government-recognized and accredited engineering schools; and Employment in government as a professional mechanical engineer or a registered mechanical engineer if the nature and character of his work are in line with his profession and requires professional knowledge of the science of mechanical engineering. 

This is what I want. I don't understand anything. So, I will study hard to understand.

Juan went to the Motorcycle store and get the bike. He just earns his driver's license.

He drives the motorcycle, he test drive inside the campus. He identifies all his rooms in every subject. And try to check his daily route inside and outside the school.

He needs to be efficient in time management. I need to have a job so I could have an allowance for my projects and research.

He applied as an office messenger. He applied for 54 companies and was denied because they need at least two years in college education. His commandant a former army and now a teacher recommended him to a security agency, he knows the owner. He was accepted as a messenger.

The first day of school, the first day of work, the first day to live alone in a new dormitory. The first time is a crazy time to be in any situation.

He doesn't understand anything about his subjects. He feels nothing is being absorbed by his brain. He doesn't know how to cope up. But he just listens and records in his cellphone the lecture of his teachers.

He keeps notes of anything he does not understand and take a picture of everything that is written on the board through his smartphone.

Every after class, he rides his bike and goes to the library to research anything that he does not understand and use Google to help the search. He also would look at youtube if anybody posted about the topic. He then goes to the canteen to drink coffee and read a chapter of the lesson in their text. Next Subject, same technique. Most of his Subjects are in the morning this semester, during the afternoon he reports for work.

"Hello Sir, reporting for duty" Juan salutes.

" I like you boy. Can you get me a coffee?" Mr. Alex Rollo, the owner, and manager of the agency.

"Sure sir!" Juan replied.

"Juan, you will arrange all the security reports alphabetically and make a summary report. Then every day you will gather these reports from the field guard supervisors from six different points. I will give an extra transportation allowance daily. deal?" Mr. Rollo said.

"Deal Sir" Juan smiling and bowing.

"I don't care about the time you come here in the office or get out, as long as I have the reports here and the summary every 5:00 PM. Monday to Friday." Mr. Rollo added.

"Yes Sir, Copy Sir."

Mr. Alex Rollo has high regard for Juan, being highly recommended by his friend and being a Mechanical Engineering Student. Graduated Salutatorian from High School. He knows this boy has great potential.

"He gave the coffee and arranged the reports from the ten days, then read the reports, and made the summary for ten days. After an hour, he submitted it to Mr. Rollo at 4:00 PM.

Mr. Rollo was amazed. " Wow! you impressed me. Good job! I will train you to be an investigator Juan. You can have a good income while you study. Keep up the good work!"

"Thanks, Sir. Can I go now, Sir?" Juan asked.

"Sure, but before that, These are the address of the 6 locations you will get the report. You can start tomorrow. You may use the android app, mapsme it can locate it for you. Do you get what I mean?" Mr. Rollo smiling.

"Yes Sir, Thank you, Sir, permission to go Sir" Juan said militarily. That's how they talk in the agency.

"Go ahead, see you tomorrow!" Mr. Rollo said.

Juan downloaded the android app mapsme in his smartphone and try to type the addresses and mark their locations. Then he bought a cellphone holder in a convenient store and attached to his bike and begin with the closest address and his smartphone will guide him where to turn until the destination is reached and he surveyed the area, so he will be familiar with the route up to the 6th location. He asked for the names of the guard supervisors and arrange a schedule to get the reports to maximize his time of collecting it in one trip.

Then Juan went to a "Torotoro" carenderia(small restaurant), ordered some food, and ate his supper...

He went to his dormitory, he selected this dormitory because it has a good wifi connection and it is complete with a cafeteria and has a good policy like control of noise and no liquor.

"Hello Jacky, You know, I had a good day, I have now a part-time job, my boss is...

" Juan, good to know, I have also some new friends, our class wants me to join the School pageant, would you permit me?" Jacky asked.

"Let's see, if it has bathing suit attire, I don't know if you will feel comfortable. what do you think? Juan answered.

The next day is another day.
