MILITARY EXERCISES
"Lieutenant Yamadachi reporting for duty Sir!" Joel giving a snappy salute.
"You and your 30 man platoon will be deployed to assist and enhance the police force to guard the US Embassy from the terrorist threat. Identify and destroy was the command by our commander in chief. Gather your men for the briefing. Colonel Kenzuo briefed him in advance.
" Yes Sir!"Joel assembled his men and Colonel Kenzuo personally briefed the boys because of the importance of this operation.
" You will assist and enhance the police presence to deter the terrorist threat, but in case they attack you are to seek and destroy the enemy at all cost. you will be in full gear with the latest weapons and laser pointer guide for air support. Three helicopters were assigned to drop you in the LZ(landing zone). Lieutenant take over." Colonel Kenzuo finished the briefing
"You four will be dropped in the roof in this position for our sniper cover. (pointing to the roof in the embassy pictures by the drone), The rest will be the ground troop, we will cover the back of the embassy while the police will take the front.
" Yes Sir!" The troop shouted.
"Here's our ride, Go! Go! Go! Joel signals his troop to climb the helicopters. The whirling sound of the rotor blades and engines of the three helicopters was coming and when all were on board it flew away from the HQ.
As they are near the embassy, the radio cracked, "There are observed movements in the back of the embassy, take extra precautions that may be the target. over"
"RPG" the pilot shouted and strive to maneuver the helicopter and release the chaff countermeasure to avoid the missile. Then the machine guns firing on the ground to clear the LZ(Landing Zone).
Joel commanded one of the helicopters on the radio: "Firebird 1, Firebird1 drop the snipers in the roof before you drop the ground troops." "Roger! The pilot responded.
The two helicopters dropped the troops through rappelling, guns from below fired at the descending troops from the rope, some were injured and some dead as they went down. The snipers are trying to shoot the enemies one by one but because of the darkness they can't see clearly they used night vision." Joel commanded before going down to rappel: Sergeant shoot a flare to the enemy's position to expose them and flashbang. All snipers protect your eyes. "Fire in the hole" The flare and flashbang explode and the enemies are exposed the troops fired at their direction and the snipers get the advantage of the light.
Joel went down from the helicopter, then another rocket was released by the enemy and the helicopters maneuvered with the last chaff countermeasure. Another fire from the enemy hit Joel in the legs before his feet hit the ground.
"I'm hit"Joel shouted.
His Sergeant shouted "medic!"
As the medic bandaged his wound. Joel ordered: "Don't let the bastards escape!"
The troops overwhelmed the terrorist and one van tried to escape from the back outside of the embassy.
Joel commandeered a police patrol car and said to his Sergeant let's follow the Van, Drive!"
They followed the van, they swerve to the left and to the right. They hit some sidewalk vendors stalls, garbage cans as the van speedily try to escape.
Weeeeee...
The siren is wailing as they try to overtake the van and when they are close, the van window opened and sprayed them bullets, and the windshield was crushed. Joel pushes the windshield out and their eyes were hurt by the wind and the men at the van continue to spray them with bullets.
The Sergeant swerve right to left to escape the bullets. When they reached the countryside. Joel put off all lights from the police car and the siren also. Then told the sergeant just to follow the van and its light.
"Overlord, Falcon1, Calling Overlord, this is Falcon1" Joel trying to establish contact with Headquarters.
"Go ahead Falcon1, This is overlord." HQ responded.
"Tango spotted we are in its tail, request for an airstrike, we will laser tag the tango, over."
Tango means enemy spotted, Joel will put a laser tag that the plane can identify what target to strike with the rocket.
"We will reply after a minute, break, " HQ replied.
Joel continues to follow the van that entered an offroad path. The police car seems to be giving up in the bumps in the road but the sergeant is determined.
The van continues to shoot from time to time.
Joel also shoots from time to time to the van.
Then the radio sounded:
"Falcon1, this is overlord, you have a go!, Falcon1 acknowledge, you have a green light, we will send the airstrike, over"
" Overlord, this is falcon1, copy! Loud and clear. we will laser tag now the tango, over"
Joel gets his laser and pointed it to the van. The jet fighter can identify the vehicle that is being pointed by the laser and the rocket fired will follow the laser tagged vehicle.
The police car keeps a safe distance while Joel points the laser to the van.
After a few minutes a jet passed by and the van was blown to pieces in flames.
Then the police car stopped.
"Bring me to the hospital sergeant," Joel whispered.
"Yes Sir!" Joel then collapsed.
The police car seems flying through the bumpy road going to the hospital.
" Overlord this is Sierra5, Falcon1 is wounded, speeding to the hospital over" Sergeant informed HQ.
"Copy, Do you need bird assistance?"HQ replied.
"If possible, but I don't know my coordinates, Overlord. Over."
"I'm running at 90 to 100 klicks per hour, if the satellite can see me please send the bird, over!"
"We see you, Siera5, Firebird 2 is on your way over." HQ responded.
The helicopter hovered and stop in front of the police car which stopped. Two medics went out with a stretcher and check the Lieutenant and put dextrose and they put him in the helicopter and flew to the hospital with the sergeant. They left the police car behind.
In the hospital, Ely, Jacky, and Luz meet and went to his room, while Joel is being operated getting the bullet from his wound and stitching it up. He collapses because of blood loss.
"He is under observation, the bullet was taken from his wound. He is a brave soldier who finished his mission and eliminated the terrorists who tried to escape after attacking the embassy. He will surely be honored." Colonel Kenzuo comforted them.
They went to the military hospital chapel and prayed for Joel's recovery.
"Hello Juan, Yes. Please pray for Joel, he just comes out from surgery, a bullet was taken from his legs." Jacky called him.
"What? OK, I will also ask for help from my friends and church mates. Take care, love you" Juan replied.
Juan has a network of prayer warriors, and they were informed and help pray for Joel's recovery.
