PAULO'S DREAM

Paulo's dream is a gallery that the building is unique. It is an art in itself.

He draws and painted how it will look like. It is a four-story building built in a mountain made of solid limestone, you can see the city lights at night and the sea at day. It will be a tourist attraction and destination. It can be seen in the city as an icon.

Paulo, who has down syndrome is an inspiration to have leveled up and never quit on his dream when he has all the reason and excuse not to succeed.

They need to go to Manila to find a land area that will be approved for this project.

The KatIchiKeta Takuma Home Gensan was started to be constructed after much conference call with the engineers and architects. Juan was the Purchasing Manager of all materials.

Rose started sorting people with Alzheimer's for prioritization and for their levels of the disease. They already started hiring psychiatric doctors, medical doctors, and neuro doctors and scientists, researchers for the project.

Paulo packed all paintings, drawings, and sketches for the Makati Gallery.

Katsuo ordered tickets for Manila. They arrived in Manila on a rainy day.

Juan and Paulo suggested if they can't find a land what about a condo converted into a gallery for the meantime? They tried in Greenbelt which is a shopping mall located at Ayala Center, Makati, Metro Manila, which is just near Glorietta and SM Makati.

One floor would be enough. It could be almost the same price as buying land. They arranged to have different entry and exit lounge that it will not disrupt other condo tenants of the gallery visitors.

They submitted the proposal to Katsuo, he visits the area, studied the location and the foot travel from the mall. He asks the architects to make interior and exterior decoration.

Then he released the fund for the gallery.

Paulo was so happy. He painted new paintings regarding national and international interests.

Paintings were mixed or segregated according to the type of painting techniques. Oil painting, Watercolor painting, Pastel painting, Acrylic painting, Digital painting, Ink wash Painting or Literati painting - Chinese black ink, Hot wax painting or Encaustic painting, Spray Painting, Fresco secco paintings - wall painting technique, Gouache - opaque watercolor medium, Enamel paintings, Tempera paintings (are very long-lasting) and, Sand Painting.

The gallery will be a combination of Paulo's paintings and other artists, that will pass his standards.

While the one thousand square meters of the floor area of the condominium is being renovated and furnished for a world-class gallery, Paulo was to tour galleries around the Philippines and around the world for three months with Ichika.

Katsuo managed the renovation using materials from abroad especially from Japan.

"I invest in these projects, not for money but for humanity and for God," Katsuo said.

Paulo will have a staff to help him with the maintenance, the selling, and the scheduling of painting showcases. There are those to be sold, there are those that must remain forever in this gallery.

Paulo was given the authorization to make replicas of famous paintings, including those of Fernando Amorsolo (1892-1972), José Joya (1931-1995), Ang Kiukok (1935-2005). Paulo decided to make his own using their techniques and inspiration.

He invited famous artists to display their works in his gallery. Paulo and Katsuo agreed to have an auction hall, where at scheduled events, paintings will be sold for bidders worldwide.

After four months, the gallery was complete, and the paintings were now on display.

The next is the promotion and program for the potential artists.

Famous artists were invited to grace the launching of the Gallery.

Like Benedicto Cabrera (1942), Kidlat Tahimik (1942), and Agnes Arellano (1949).

Paulo promoted and made a program to produce local amateur painters and artists. He invited the children and teens of Tondo, supported and assisted by "Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan" (KALAHI). They conducted the workshop seminar of potential artists at Life Project 4 Youth Foundation, Tondo. One hundred twenty three attended the workshop, Paulo was so happy, he ordered them to be feed with Jollibee Super Meal(Chicken joy, Spaghetti, Burger steak, rice, and a dessert of coke float, and peach mango pie each participant with bottomless cold ice tea.

Paulo provided them free materials, from canvass and all the brushes, pencils, paints. They started with the initial basic painting with those who can submit a good painting will have one sack rice, and groceries, and one thousand pesos. Consolation prizes are half-sack rice and groceries. It was all given to them after the workshop.

There were thirty who made it to the second level.

They were to submit a short story of their life, with their biodata with their picture. A photographer is taking their pictures with their work. Those who can not write were interviewed by the staff and they filled their requirements.

They were all toured to the new Gallery. They were the first visitors to the gallery. They were all given new Tshirts with the gallery logo and saying "Art is my life", the second level group was given the materials to make their final painting. They were given props of fruits, plants, or anything they want to paint. The theme of the contest is "hope". While those who are waiting toured all the rooms to see all the artworks in the gallery. They were given Quarter pounder and Milk tea Mcfloat each.

All the paintings were good, they will be displayed during the launch. with the name, picture, and biodata and story of the participant painter.

The thirty were all given one sack rice, groceries, and One Thousand pesos.

"Ok listen up, Out of those on the consolation will have a wild card, that I may consider for the contest on the launching, the thirty will all participate, and you will have a live one-hour painting contest during that time. the President of the Philippines will be attending, all the famous artists here and abroad will attend and buyers will also be here. Your work may make money at that time. Who knows? Now, Bring the materials that you have used, put your names in your materials because that is yours now. Now, you will be given invitations to attend that special occasion. All of you will be given a suit, pants, shoes, dress to the ladies to attend that occasion." Paulo said.
