SCHOLARS

Paulo was busy with his newly hired staff helping and assisting the scholars of the gallery. The KALAHI foundation supported the project. One hundred twenty three scholars.

"What shall I do with these scholars to start with? I wish I can bring them initially to one school that has elementary to college curriculum. Lord help me." Paulo said with tears in his eyes.

"There is a school in Tondo, we will buy that school, and enroll all your scholars there. Regela Angel School, is an active and accredited school with the Deped and Higher Education. We can talk to the owners, I think they will be happy to have us and we can be of help with them. We can retain them as administrators to run the school, Ok let us set the meeting with them now." Alex Rollo said.

"Thanks, Uncle Rollo!" Paulo said.

Alex smiled he loved to hear the sound to be called uncle of the great painter.

Alex made a conference call to all the KALAHI foundation board members. I called this meeting to propose to buy out a school the Regela Angel School of Tondo, to accommodate our scholars and help them from elementary to college with this school. I open this for discussion so we can decide. Paulo's staff have made a research about the school, it's confirmed they have an accreditation with the Deped and higher education regarding their nursery to college courses offered. They are a small school, we can infuse capital to improve it and help change it to be a model school of our foundation. we may call it KALAHI foundation University. I have talked to the owner and he has agreed for the meeting this noon, so I need your authorization before I go" Alex Rollo said.

"I agree, let's find out more. Have a visit, and if the administration is good retain them, and slowly we may do changes to make it better." Katsuo said as a new member of the board.

Tony and Maketa agreed also. Everybody then agreed.

The Meeting with the owners went well, they are actually hard up with funds and the tuition of the students is decreasing because most of the students are poor and many quit. Alex proposed an eighty percent share of the school will be buying out and twenty percent will be retained with the original owner and they will also retain the administration of the school under the KALAHI foundation board and the owner will have one vote in the foundation. The KALAHI FOUNDATION is the major owner of the school. The owner agreed with the agreement, Alex let the foundation lawyers made the papers. "Let's have the signing of the papers two days from now.

The signing of the contracts and all legal documents were done at Bulalord Manila, Lakandula Street, Tondo, Metro Manila. All the board members were there Except all who are in Japan.

The enrollment of all scholars was done. Ten Million were allocated, rooms were renovated, a new building was planned to be built soon to a new block adjacent to the school, bought by the foundation.

The scholars were so happy and those students who quit due to financial shortage but consistent students and with a good average were visited their addresses were encouraged to return and enroll and were offered jobs in the school. Many working scholars help with the manning the lack of staff. They became all-around workers working happily. Maketa infused to the KALAHI FOUNDATION twenty million for the education of the children of Alzheimer's victims.

"Thank God for this great blessing, I thought I can't finish my college. God is good. I'm enrolled, I am a student worker with allowance and books. Love this" A scholar wrote and put it in the suggestion box, many put thanking the school instead of suggestions. These were read during the first school administration meeting with the KALAHI foundation board members.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the newly acquired nine thousand square meters lot for the new school building was attended by Katsuo, Ichika, Ely, Luz, and Jacky from Japan. They were just to attend the groundbreaking ceremony, accompanied by one engineer and one architect. Katsuo used his private jet plane. Japan to the Philippines was just a few minutes away.

The tent, podium, shovels, hard hats, umbrellas, and a container full of soil, just in case of rain. The chairs, tables, trash bins, and food service are all ready.

They hold their shovels and make a hole to bury the time capsule. Speeches were said, a beautiful choir was sung by the students, and a message from the Word of God was given by Pastor Edwin Jardenel. Prayer for blessings was said and prayer balloons were let loose to fly.

Many students were jumping for joy, they made a synchronized wave of hands that they did during a festival show, they won the presentation contest in the city. They did it again, they did the pyramid and the chants and the cheering jumps and acrobats. They did the presentation that won a contest simultaneously. They had a good leader that made it happen again. All the visitors video it, others made it live in social media. Their adviser said their performance here is more with emotion and energy than in the contest. It went viral with thirty thousand viewers just in thirty minutes.

"This is a good start Paulo," Juan said.

"Paulo! Paulo! Paulo!"

"Our Hero!"

The students shouted in unison repeatedly.

A placard was raised by the students. "Paulo, God bless you and your family, Thank you!"

The new building was built. The modern design and art in collaboration with the architects of Takuma business empire and Paulo. As the school building is being started, the walls were first finished. twelve feet high. The more or less one hundred students requested put in the suggestion box that they paint the walls outside and inside.

The school board granted and it was assigned per painter a twelve by twelve feet wall for the one hundred forty students. The Gallery will shoulder the materials.

Different stories of beautiful hope in the background of garbage are prominent in the paintings. There is a painting of a beautiful girl graduating in college. The background was dead flowers, rotten fried chicken, rotten hamburgers, dead grass, and trees.

"It was a painting of hope by Lovely!" Paulo said.
