Benny placed Beatrice on her car, plopping her down with a thump and grabbed her keys on her pockets.
After a series of second-hand embarrassing moments and sudden flying fists, Benny was able to drag the body of Beatrice to her car without any injury.
"Hey B! Where's your husband's house?" Beatrice grumbled and turned to the side ignoring Benny.
"B!"
Benny grabbed her shoulders and shook her to wake her up and spill details. Fortunately, Beatrice was able to mumble Lucas's address.
He opened his phone and checked the GPS to guide his way. He slipped the key in and turned the engine, driving his way with the help of the GPS.
Finally, they arrived and a huge gate came into view. It was black and towered over them, making it impossible to look at the side over it.
"B! Get out you fucking drunkard! Shit! Why did you get so drunk?!" He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and assisted her to stand up. He managed to pull her out from her seat and dragged her to the front of the gate.
It was the dead of the night and it was eerily quiet and dark.
'Ugh if you weren't my friend. I should've left you in that bar. The things I sacrifice for her. I need a friendship award next time.'
Beatrice groaned and rambled as he tried to reach the doorbell. He pressed the small button and it rang, reverberating through the night. Moments later, a man wearing a simple indoor shirt and pants opened the gate.
His black hair was disheveled and his face was scrunched up as his eyes exhibited anger and Benny could sense the tension in the air.
"Who're you?" Lucas's voice was deep and thick with hostility. Lucas noticed the woman in his arms and his vision turned red. He clenched his fists and stiffened his body as he glanced between the two of them.
'Stay calm.' Lucas chanted in his head.
The man who had his wife in his arms looked like bad news and he couldn't ward off the unpleasant feeling that this guy was bringing. He was buff and the piercings and tattoos were something striking.
'I thought he was not meeting a man but what's this?'
Lucas felt his heart clenched but the anger in him was much stronger than the pang in his heart and his blood was boiling as he watched Beatrice squirm beneath the guy's arms.
"I'm her friend and she got dru-"
"Don't you know the woman you're with now is married?"
Benny paused and smirked as he suspected something. It was clear that the man in front of her was the notorious husband and seeing his reaction….. 'It's fine to tease a little right?'
"What? But she didn't say anything."
Benny smirked as he could see Lucas steaming and his face clearly showed wrath as it darkened. Lucas tried to grab Beatrice by the arm but Benny stepped backward and he missed.
"How about you? Who're you and why are you in her house?"
Benny tried to suppress a smirk as he was enjoying seeing how the situation unfolded. Lucas was clearly seeing red and was just trying to suppress the urge to punch him in the face.
"I'm her husband and this is our home," Lucas boomed as the cocky guy in front of him was making his nerves pop.
"Sorry man, but I don't know nor trust you. I think it's better to bring her home with me."
Benny provoked Lucas and he could see it was working out, exactly like he wants. Lucas's expression turned darker and Benny knows he was at the end of his wits
"You wouldn't do that if I were you, " Lucas threatened him.
"Umm yeah, I will?" Benny was doing good pushing Lucas's buttons.
Seeing a fine man getting worked up was something he enjoyed watching and Beatrice's husband was super fine even though he's mad.
'Lucky Girl'
"I don't think you get what I mean." There was something in his voice that made Benny intimidated. Although he was a leader of a gang and had experienced intense fights and scenes, Lucas had this aura that just tingles his instinct and sensed danger.
'Is this what happens when someone's jealous?'
He decided to stop teasing him since the atmosphere was turning bad.
"Hahaha man, I was just toying with you. B! You're already home" He gently pushed her to Lucas who was still glaring at him.
Lucas grabbed the sleeping Beatrice to his side, " I think you should go,"
"Umm yeah, I know. Her car's here and you take care of it." He walked away and he could sense the intense glare Lucas was still pointing at his back.
'Jeez, that guy's whip, and I thought they both weren't serious because it was just an arranged marriage?'
He made sure he distanced himself from them since he doesn't want to make a scene with his friend's husband.
'B, I don't think divorce is possible by the looks of it, but at least now you've got a match.'
"Now, how should I get back?"
