Remembering Yesterday

Beatrice woke up with a splitting headache. She had too much alcohol last night and now she's suffering from a hangover

"Ughh, "

Beatrice tried to stand up but her knees were wobbly and her head was throbbing so bad.

She scrunched up as another surge of pain came to her head and she regretted drinking so much last night.

She stood up and noticed that she slept on the sofa.

'I might've slept directly as soon as I arrived at home,'

Beatrice remembered she went out for drinks with Benny and got so drunk and…..

That's where her memories ended. She didn't know how she got home or what happened after that.

"So thirsty" Beatrice stood up to get some water. Her head was still aching and it felt like everything was turning around her.

She grabbed a cup, filled it with water and she drank it like a wanderer in a desert who was thirsty for days.

"You're awake, " A deep voice intercepted her drinking and she turned to where the direction was.

Lucas was in the stairs wearing a plain shirt and a pajama underneath. His hair was disheveled and his eyes were dreamy as if he just woke up.

"Uhh obviously yes," she turned away and continued drinking her water.

"Don't you remember what happened yesterday?"

Lucas found it strange that she was in her usual state, despite what they did yesterday. She might not remember it or she could also be faking it.

"No, Why? what did I do?.... Did I give you a punch or a kick again?" She laughed lightly as she intended for it to be a joke but Lucas was just staring at her with his emotionless face.

"No really, did I do something wrong yesterday?" She asked seriously as Lucas was staring weirdly at her.

"No you didn't," he answered shortly.

"K, then stop staring! It's weird" she filled her cup again with water as it was not enough to satisfy her thirst.

"Are you sure you really don't remember anything?"

She felt annoyed. Her head was still throbbing and Lucas was so persistent to know if she remembered anything yesterday.

"I don't, ok!" She gazed back at him and Lucas's grey eyes were filled with disappointment.

'Do I need to remember something important yesterday?'

"Really? Even if it's vague?"

Ok now, Lucas was really getting on her nerves.

"I told you none! Nothing! Nada!" She exploded and her voice hitched up but Lucas was unfazed with her sudden outburst. She coughed slightly, embarrassed with what she did.

He seemed to be thinking deeply and she sipped her cup as she looked at him. His expression was serious and now she badly wanted to know what happened last night.

As she continued to drink her water, countless surges of memory flooded her brain.

'Oh…..what the fuck!'

Her grip on the cup loosened and it plunged to the ground with a shattering sound. Her memories last night filled her head up and she stood there frozen in the spot.

"Beatrice!"

"Don't come near!" Beatrice's face was flushed and she looked like she was about to lose it. She was unbothered with the glass shards on the floor as her brain was mainly focused on the events that unfolded yesterday.

'Wtf did I do!. I...I kissed him on the sofa and then we made out and then…'

"Nothing happened yesterday, " she heard him speak.

His voice made her remember everything again. How his lips ravaged hers, his kisses on her neck, his breath on hers, how every time his skin touched hers she felt like a torch being burned.

"'Nothing?! Fudging nothing?! How can you say that was all nothing when we clearly did all those things?!"

Beatrice was angry, embarrassed, and felt like a bomb that would explode any minute now.

"I mean we didn't have sex, "

Lucas bluntly told her and Beatrice became as red as a tomato with his straightforward answer. She was ashamed but a little sense of relief washed over her as she knew now that they didn't go all the way.

'But I was the one who initiated it!'

Beatrice couldn't believe that she was able to do all those things yesterday. She was not the aggressive type sexually but what she did was over the top. She even asked him if she doesn't like it and….

'Aaah! How could I do that?! What will Lucas think of her now?!'

"I never knew you could be that bold, wife-" Lucas snickered and she went poof.

"Stop! You stop right there! What I did yesterday was a mistake!" Beatrice averted her eyes as her cheeks were still flushed and her head was all mushy from remembering her shameful self yesterday.

Lucas' face darkened and he stiffened when he heard Beatrice said it was all a mistake. She always knew how to rile him up and he clenched his fists trying to calm himself down.

"Really? You were the one kissed me first even though I tried to resist and-"

"Stop!! That topic is off-limits, banned, locked, thrown outside, and never to be spoken about again!"

Beatrice could die from embarrassment if ever Lucas dares to talk about it. She still couldn't believe she's the same person who was so scandalous yesterday night.

"What topic? The topic where you suddenly started it or the topic where we made out and that I made you feel good, "

"The topic of everything that happened last night! And FYI you didn't make me feel good. I even felt nothing."

Beatrice smugly uttered and it was a critical hit to the ego of Lucas.

"You felt nothing? Your moans last night say something different though."

Beatrice looked at him with a dumbfounded expression and her face finished into a red color.

"Aaaah stop!-" Beatrice moved her foot slightly and got cut with a piece of glass on the floor. Blood began to trickle and she winced as she felt pain from her wound. "-ow!"

Lucas swiftly moved and went near her, avoiding the shards on the ground. He brought her up bridal style and moved away from the broken glass. "What are you doing?!" Beatrice tried to struggle but his strong arms were wrapped firmly around her.

Lucas ignored her and gently placed her on the couch. "You should have stayed still, "

He bent down and cupped her ankle where her wound was located. Beatrice grunted as she felt pain.

"Just stay there, " he ordered as he stood up and went to a cabinet. Beatrice listened as Lucas came back with a first-aid kit in his hand.

They were silent as Lucas was focused on treating her wound. It was a big cut and she groaned as he removed a small shard of glass in her skin.
