The Child forsaken by God part 2

As the hours passed on this extended trip to find her precious boy, Marlena kept reminiscing on her past.

Thinking all the way back to her first victim, on her long road down the rabbit hole, made her shackle with a mix of pleasure and delight.

"Oh, poor little Alexander.

"Now that I think about it, he was quite the looker, that child, a bit weird, yes, but who am I to judge."

As she thought about the long-dead boy, she smiles, remembering how much he had fought her.

It is indeed too bad he had to die so young, yes; he had such youth only 17 when he died how terrible.

"Oh, what a tragedy, nonetheless, what can you do?"

"Young or not, the poor boy was in my way, and my path has always been so narrow."

Who was this poor 17-year-old kid named Alexander? Well, he was Marlena's second victim in her ever-growing list of horrors on her way to power.

Five years after getting married to Alexander, her husband Marlena started her master plan to get rid of him. She knew it wasn't going to be easy, not to mention the fact that she had never actually committed murder before. So, she needed someone to practice with, a guineapig sort of speak.

And who better than Anita, her maid.

This gentle single mother on the edge of forty was perfect for the job. She was such a sweet end, ever so tender, like someone who hadn't experience the slightest of pain in life.

To Marlena, who had lived through so much hardship, this was like a slap to the face. Someone like Anita, who lived her whole life in perfect bliss, didn't deserve to keep on living.

"No, she had to die!"

"Death wouldn't make us even not for a second, but at least, she will be of service on my path to realize my dreams."

"Otherwise, how could it be fair?}

Alexander, the boy, was Anita's son, and yes, he shares the same name as Marlena's husband, but in truth, the boy shared more than just his name....

This boy was the first obstacle Marlena had to face in her rise to power. For he was also the first person to see through her façade.

He knew she was not what she made people believe. She may seem like she was the perfect, kind, caring, and loving wife to the world. However, Alexander knew otherwise. Somehow, he could see her, could see "it."

For he had seen her true face. The one behind the mask and, OH God! Underneath was Something worse, worse than this poor boy had ever seen or even dared to imagine. Something terrifying, perverse even. Yes, underneath was Something, Something not quite human.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marlena lived as a prostitute in the years; she learned to perfect her "Glass Mask," more commonly known as a poker face. The girl, now "woman," wouldn't have become the best, la crème de la crème otherwise. Nevertheless, Marlena did slip twice, and both times, who do you think was there to see it?

Of course, it would have to be the boy nobody care to notice—the shy little guy, who would spend most of his time alone pretty much ghosting around. As anyone can guess, no one would have even batted an eye for someone such as him.

So, this living "cliché" of a person, or Anita's weird boy. As he was most commonly known, the only person who ever got a pic of what is hidden underneath Marlena's almost perfect masterpiece of a mask.

From that moment on, the boy change and made a vow to demask this monster who hid in plain sight.

With tears in his eyes to the point of having them bloodshot, the boy screamed the name of the person who took everything from him.

"Marlena", "Marlena", "MARLENA"

As alexander repeatedly screamed the name of his mother's murderer, He made his vow to destroy the monster that took her. She had always been the most precious person, the only person.

"And she took her yes, she to-."

He wasn't even able to finish his sentence when he completely broke.

The only person who had ever truly love him was gone, and he didn't even know why.

Yes, that was Alexander's biggest question why, why take away his mama. Someone so loving not only to him but to everyone around her, Somone so gentle.

"For God's sake, the woman couldn't even bring herself to kill the spiders in her room, who constantly bid her at night while she slept."

A slight smile formed on the boy's face at the thought of that, but it quickly disappears as his tears make him sob.

Poor alexander was devastated he had lost his world. However, the idea of revenge made his heartbeat with uncontrollable passion.

And once again, he stood tall. He called on the name of the beast who took his mama, but this time with less rage and more malice.

One could quickly feel his pure killing intent. It consumed that empty room, where his mother's corps once lade.

"Ma..rl..ena, Ma..rle..na, Mar..len....a"

Just you wait, you atrocious beast, I will make everyone see you for what you indeed are, a heartless demon in the skin of a no so harmless girl.

But mark my words. That is just the tip. What I have in store for you is much, much wicked, just like your sadistic face.

Yes, he had seen her that night as he watched from a window how her mask slip for the first time. That was the night Marlena took her first victim. Yes, that night, she murdered his mother in cold blood, right in front of him.

And at that moment, Alexander saw as her face morphed right after his mother's lifeless dead body touched the floor.

Little by little, seconds, minutes, and even an hour passed. However, the beast was yet to move. So, he also stood there watching her through the window as Marlena, with an insidious smile, stood over Anita's body with a knife in her right hand, looking at her victim's corps, motionless.

At that moment, Marlena felt more powerful than ever before, like there was nothing she could not do.

"This felt so good, more than good." "This felt right."

"Yes, this was the best feeling in the world."

The ever-strong iron smell of fresh blood made her feel at peace. After so much pain and suffering, she had finally found her calling.

Unbeknown to her, Alexander saw everything, and all thought he was too late to stop it. He, too, had found his calling that night, and it could only end with her head on a pike.

Or...so he thought, after all, at the very end, Alexander had always been Anita's weird boy, and just like his mother before him, his death would forever be just a number on Marlena's ever-growing list of horrors.
