It must be...

Set quickly made his way through the forest and ended up in the waterfall. He skillfully made his way through the tunnel and finally reached the underground cave. When he entered he saw all three of the party there waiting.

"Brother, you made it". Sugiyama Kaori was the one to speak first. He quickly brought out the armor to give to Set. For him, it felt like the more he spent time with the Crimson man, the more secrets will be unwillingly shared. The only thing on his mind was to give the man his armor and forget about it all. The armor was made up of a rare metal ore. It was blue in color but was a pinch on the darker side. If it wasn't forged carelessly it might have reached world-class or, even if the chances were small, Sky-class. Set taking the armor, immediately wore it. If it wasn't for the Crimson Curse changing the Set's hair and eye color, it would have been a match made in heaven.

Set then went towards Light but before he could reach her, he was stopped in his tracks by the system. The three were carefully watching Set and when they saw him freeze they were startled and a bit fearful. His actions of the day before had left a deep scar in their heads. Especially when he was talking about Sugiyama Kaori's little brother.

[Damaged armor equipped would you like to fix it?]

Set was over the moon, but he didn't fix it. They were still the three around and he didn't want them to see the system in action so he ignored it. He resumed walking towards Light and reached out his hand. Light looked at Set and for some reason, her heartbeat quickened. And when she looked at his crimson eyes, it was as if they were the only thing in the world. It was as if looking at the star themselves.

"So handsome...", Light thought but she didn't actually think it. She was so deep in thought that she had blurted that out loud.

Set hearing this was confused, 'Am I so handsome that woman can't control themselves around me?' he thought. But looking at the dazed girl, a smug smile appeared on his face as he said, 'It must be'.

"You don't look bad yourself". Light's face was invaded by a deep blush. She lowered her head as if she was looking for a hole to crawl into. She quickly brought out the lance to give to Set. As she gave him the lance, their fingers touched, prompting Light to jerk her hand away from the Crimson man.

Set looking a the spectacle was surprised and was giving more confirmation of his handsomeness. He examined the lance. The lance was silver and had a holy shine that would bring comfort. When he held it, for some reason, Set felt like he was holy and kind. But that feeling was short-lived. Set injected his power into the lance, as he did he silver color turned into crystal blue. The holy glow disappeared and was replaced by a menacing blue glow that brought intense heat.

The three looking at the lance were even more surprised. If a normal person injected the sword with their power they couldn't even hope to change the color. Even if they did they would mostly change the hilt but the lance itself. But of course, this only applied to Demon-class hunters. If the higher classes did this they would reach the same result as Set did.

Set put away the lance and turned around to leave but as he was walking he heard a voice, "Wait". Amano Ena was the one to say it. Set turned around and asked, "What do you want?"

She straightened her back and said, "I have a proposition". But Set didn't want to work with them for obvious reasons. "Not interested," said Set before turning around to walk away. But Amano Ena wasn't giving up, "We'll pay you handsomely".

"Sorry but it's not about the money. It's about trust and for obvious reasons I don't trust you guys". Hearing this Amano was disappointed but she did not relent. Set and the three were walking out of the entrance, Sugiyama and Light didn't talk much but Amano Ena was right next Set. She had been making offers and getting rejected the whole time. She kept dishing out offers like it was an auction. But Set wasn't having it he rejected them all but as he reached the waterfall Amano Ena Made an offer he couldn't reject.

"I will give you a light rune". Set hearing this was surprised and confused. A light rune was an inscription made on weapons and armor, it made them more durable and even gave them a healing ability. And as long as the item was in the light it gave it an even more incredible power boost. But it was too expensive and only the rich and powerful enjoyed them. Set thought for a moment. As long as he had blood points he was practically immortal so he didn't need the healing powers. But as for the power increase, he might have a job for that. Since he was thinking about fixing the Destroyed armor then he was going to need any and all power increase he could get his hands on. Because the more power the armor had the higher the chances of it rising to World-class. But he was more confused than he was surprised. What would compel her to use this rune as payment?

Seeing Set taking the bait Amano Ena made the finishing move. "I will also give you a dark rune". Hearing this Set's eyes almost bulged out of their sockets. It was rare to find light runes but a dark rune was like winning a lottery on your first try. Dark runes were runes of the night. They were even more powerful than a light rune. Its healing abilities were off the charts and the buff it gave during the night was just... plane... old... STUPID! But more than that it gave the ability of darkness to the user. Making the person the master of the night. Set in the way of this rapid-fire was compelled to do a 180. But he was even more confused now.

"What is it exactly you need my help with?" asked Set. After a while of explaining, Set now knew what was going on. Amano Ena's family had a tradition, and that was once one of their's entered the celestial plane, they were obligated to return with Ten thousand Demon-class beast cores. They could use any method to get their hands on it but once the individual entered the celestial planes they couldn't return without those beast cores. And if they did without gathering the "small sum", they would be exiled from the family. Amano Ena had gathered nine thousand through various means but her pockets couldn't be deep forever and were now running out of resources.

Set looked at Amano Ena and reached his hand out to her. Amano Ena Knew what Set was referring to and brought out two jade boxes. One was snow-white while the other was pitch black. Set took the boxes and opened them, as he did two runes flew out of the boxes. One as black and the other was white. He looked at them and smiled. He returned them to their respective boxes and put them away. Seeing this Amano Ena was ecstatic as she said, "I guess we have our selves a deal. We will go out to hunt every day so get ready". But Set didn't say anything, he merely raised his hands, and countless beast cores appeared out of thin air and fell to the ground.

The three were shocked beyond compare. Not because of the one thousand beast core he pulled out... NO... because they all belonged to the Horny Goats who suddenly disappeared. The image they had towards the Crimson man in front of them swiftly changed. It was filled with horror and fear, towards the Crimson man.

But before they could register what they had just witnessed, Set had already disappeared.
