Scary Sky Hunter!

Sparks flew as the stinger and the armor met. A * Cling * sounded as if to say, "Metal VS Metal! Let's see who's going to win!"

The hunting party seeing this were surprised. The pink-haired, particularly as she was a World Beast Hunter, but she was not strong enough to protect himself against the powerful stinger of the Nightmare Scorpion. But by the looks of it, the Crimson Knight wasn't even paying attention when the Nightmare Scorpion attacked. Meaning the Crimson Knight was a top-notch World-class hunter, or even ... a Sky beast hunter! And the most impressive thing was that after colliding with the stinger, the armor didn't even have a light scratch. It was as if what had struck it was not a stinger of a world-class beast, but a leaf of an ordinary tree.

Set realized what had happened, laughed hysterically.

"You fucking son of a bitch, you tried to kill me, but you ended up making me stronger," but as he said that, he understood a key question.

'Where did this armor come from, and why is the Titan Blade dyed red?'

And, as always, the system came to the rescue with the answer, "These are the effects of the Unholy Knight ability." Set was shocked hearing this, and asked, "I see the ability that has been locked ever since my celestial spirit awakened is this Unholy Knight ability."

Set was pleased and excited to hear this and asked, "Show me the description."

[Unholy Knight: Armor created by the defense type innate ability, Golden Buddha Body, tempered by the mark of the Sun God, as well as the Dragon Emperor's ring. It has high defensive capabilities.

Absorb and release: able to absorb and release the power that has been inflicted on it, into a single shot. If put under incredible power for too long, starts to developed absolute resistance.

Devour: by absorbing innate abilities and celestial gear, is able to grow more powerful. (May be optional)

Set was over the moon... no... that would be an understatement! He was over the fucking galaxy!

He had gained a celestial treasure and an absolutely amazing armor that any warrior knight dreamed of. When he wore the armor, he felt like he was full of life and had unlimited strength. He thought himself to be a mighty dragon capable of crushing entire mountains, with just a sneeze. It was as though he had absolute strength over the surrounding! After a while of self-idolizing, he turned to look at the Nightmare Scorpion, but this time it didn't seem as intimidating as it did when he entered the pond. It was just mere dust compared to what Set was feeling. The Nightmare Scorpion, seeing the disdain in Set's crimson eyes and failing to kill his prey was infuriated!

Suddenly, the Nightmare scorpion started to glow with a black light. The black patterns on its body began to spread throughout the body until the golden color was gradually overtaken, and nonexistent. The Nightmare scorpion was now black in color, its carapace gleaming like obsidian. Its domineer more intimidating and filled with ill intent. Its stinger glowing with an ominous light. It let out a loud shriek and made its way towards the Crimson knight.

It rushed towards Set with blood lust in its eyes and stretched out its pinchers hoping to chop Set to pieces. Set up seeing the Scorpion, charge at him was exhilarated. He wanted to test out this newfound power, and here was the Nightmare scorpion, it was basically the heavens giving Set a hand every step of the way. It was practically God's Will.

But unlike Set, when the hunting party saw the Nightmare Scorpion, turn black, they were all terrified. The name Nightmare Scorpion was not just a name, it was a well-deserved title. It was said that, once the Nightmare Scorpion turned black, there was no going back! And as expected, when the Nightmare scorpion was just a few meters away from Set, his and the vision of the entire hunting party unexpectedly turned dark!

All he could see was darkness. He couldn't even see his own body. And what was even more distressing was that his vision wasn't the only thing that was gone. His hearing and sense of smell had similarly disappeared. The Nightmare Scorpion seeing Set just standing there like a headless chicken, took the opportunity to fire its stinger. But Set wasn't just going to stand still and die. He felt the strength within his armor rebel as though it wanted to annihilate the Scorpian Nightmare. He closed his eyes and concentrated on his surroundings.

Although his sight, smell and hearing had disappeared. His sense of touch never did. He concentrated on the surrounding air, he took in even the smallest of details. Feeling the air current change, his face was blessed with the kindest and most wholehearted crazed of smiles.

He looked straight towards the Scorpion and got ready to strike. And by the looks of it, the Nightmare Scorpion had done this many times, as it hadn't even taken the time to change its initial position, and was running towards Set in a straight line. Just as he got ready, the sun mark on his sword, as well as the chest plate of his armor, began to shine with blinding light. Set feeling the power was mesmerized and unleashed a sideways slash. Yet what happened next was inconceivable.

In mid-air, a blinding light was seen as a horizontal line. A powerful sword slash was released, slicing the Nightmare Scorpion with a single blow. But the sword slash didn't stop there, the cave wall behind the Scorpion was totally destroyed!

But still, it didn't stop there. Outside the cave, in a fan-like motion, the forest was completely destroyed. It was complete carnage for more than a hundred meters. The trees were collapsing. The land had been flipped upside down as if there had been an earthquake. And countless kill announcements were made informing him that he had gained a blood point.

And with the instant death of the Nightmare Scorpion, Set's, as well as the hunting party's vision, returned. The hunting party that had previously thought their lives had ended suddenly got their vision back.

Smoke and dust were everywhere, but once they settled down and everyone saw what had happened, they were all shocked beyond belief, Set included. They all turned to look at the destruction caused by Set, in disbelief. The cave wall was totally destroyed, So was the underground foundation behind it.

There was a large opening in which they were able to reach the surface. The hunting party were shocked, the Crimson Knight casually whipped out such a devastating power they have never witnessed before. The pink-haired woman was incredibly frustrated. Looking at the Crimson Knight, she couldn't help but think, "When will I have such power?"

While the hunting party was stunned, the one in the most disbelief was Set himself. The question in his mind was where the power came from, but he was quick to unveil the answer.

It was the ability of the armor, absorb and release. Set guessed that the ability had been active while he had been suppressed by the dragon in the void prison. Absorbing all the power the dragon had unleashed upon him. Only to be released simultaneously into a single powerful shot, when attacking the scorpion. But thinking about it, Set couldn't help but sigh, as he had just wasted such a strong attack on a weakling like the Nightmare Scorpion!

All turned to look at the Crimson Knight, who was responsible, and felt fear creeping into their souls. Although they thought he was powerful before, looking at him now he was like an unreachable peak of a treacherous mountain.

Hifumi was almost out of breath staring at the Crimson Knight. Though he did not know the identity of the man who had humiliated him, he had studied his appearance and his gear. Looking at the face mask and the facial features of the man, he was certain that it was the same man who had caused him so many troubles. But the one thing he couldn't understand was how the noobie hunter could reach such heights in just a span of a month, give or take.

But thinking of something, he looked at the Crimson Knight with eyes full of fright, envy, and a hint of admiration. After becoming a Sky-class hunter, it was said that the natural abilities and physical talents of an individual will reach the godly heights. Even if people believed it, seeing it up close was something on a completely different level. Looking at Set, he was definitely the Sky or even an Emperor's class hunter!

Set on the other hand, seeing the people's admiring gazes felt mighty and strong, but he realized that the power he had just used was long gone. He turned around to look at the Nightmare Scorpion, which had been cut in two, and began to walk towards it with calm steps.

The hunting party knew what Set was thinking, but they did not dare to voice their thoughts. Set keeled in front of the scorpion and put his hand in the belly, searching for its core. But as he wiggled his hand across the belly, he felt something. It couldn't be the beast core, as it was too large, so what was it?
