Why can't they let me kill them in peace?

Set was finally here! He was out of the forest terrain a while ago, and now he was in the grasslands. Although it was a grassland, the grass was as tall as a human, preventing a clear view of the land to come. For that reason, Set had long since summoned the King Raven. Although the ride was a bit rough, it was a hundred times worse for Demon Dog and the spider. Demon Dog was carried by the King Raven's talons, while at the top of his head was the spider that had woken up long ago only to be left unconscious by the sheer speed and height at which King Raven was traveling at.

After flying over the grassland, Set met a mountain surrounded by a long stretch of grassland. But to his indifference, the mountain had several holes all over it, as if it had been borrowed by a drill. But what caught his eye was not the mountain, but the surroundings. From the edge of the mountain, for about fifty meters outwards, the ground had disappeared.

It was as if there was a huge sinkhole capable of swallowing any and all, but it couldn't manage to swallow the mountain. As it was in the middle, supported by an equally thick column of earth, that stretched deep into the darkness. The scene was both frightening and beautiful.

"We have finally arrived at the Ant King's nest."

But what he couldn't understand was how the Ants go into the nest. Let me elaborate... If there's no land, how do the Ants get from the grassland to the Ants Nest?

"Do they have wings perhaps? Or some underground structure that leads to the nest?..."

While he had different hypotheses, the only viable one was the underground structure. The King Raven, under the order of his master, landed at the edge of the grasslands. Slowly, Set jumped off and walked to the edge. When he finally got there, he was given a fright. How deep did this sinkhole? He stared at the mountain that was supported by a column of earth.

"Fifty... fifty-seven meters? that sounds about right..."

After that Set took out his Titan Blade as well as his Space Cloak, and skilfully flew to the mountain. After about half an hour, Set reached the mountain. After cautiously flying into one of the holes, he looked inside to see if there were any Ants. And shockingly enough, there weren't any of them. After much deliberation, he started walking through the tunnel. Although from a distance the hole looked small, up close, it was actually able to fit two people, allowing them to casually walk.

He walked cautiously for over an hour, but he could neither see nor hear any Ants. And due to the distance he had traveled, the tunnel had already become pitch black, prompting him to use his arm as a torch while it flickered with a red flame. But even though he had gained his vision back, there was no point in wearing the Space Cloak and so he returned it to the system. But just as he was about to ask the system for help, he heard a soft clicking noise, accompanied by a low screech.

After around a minute or two, a Demon Ant, came out charging towards Set.

"They say ignorance is blitz, an Ant trying to go against me? Just die already!"

With that Set brought out this trusted brass knuckle and gently struck the ant. At least this time, he had learned his lesson and had limited the power output only exploding the Ant's head. If he hadn't, the incident with the Gray Scale Fish would have happened to this poor Ant. After acquiring the beast core, Set gutted the Ant and skewered all over the tunnel. He pulled out a Smoke grenade with a raven emblem on it and threw it away after pulling the pin. In just a matter of seconds, green toxic gas was released shrouding the tunnel. But for Sets plan one smoke grenade wasn't enough.

And so, he threw out two more, exposing the tunnel to its toxicity. Then with his [Air] ability, he acted as a fan, spreading the gas more and more across the internal structures of the mountain. But if he wanted to shroud the entire mountain, he needed more than three smoke grenades. Yet what followed was surprising. As if he was possessed by a demon, Set continuously threw out Smoke Bombs while at the same time releasing air, acting like a fan.

"System show me the internal structures of the mountain."

In seconds, the system showed a labyrinth-like structure. Set seeing this was shocked!

"Damn that's deep."

By looks alone, in terms of a building's floor, this mountain had over two hundred floors! Two hundred was not a small number, and the dangers that lurked were not small. If every floor had at least a hundred ants, then... the two-hundred. Set making the calculation was over the moon... no over the entire UNIVERSE!!!!!!!

"Twenty thousand blood points hear I come!" If he could really get 20,000 blood points, he'd be set for life. Unafraid of even death itself! Of course, the chance of that happening was so close to zero that you might assume it was.

But still, even if he couldn't get 20,000 blood points, 1 or 2,000 is more than enough. But with Set's greedy nature for blood points, he'd defiantly go out and try to get as many as he can.

"System show me any and all heat signature throughout this mountain."

Under Set's request, the map lit up like a Christmas tree. Most of the Ants on the same level as Set were knocked out by the toxic gas, while the other levels slowly followed suit. But seeing the pattern of heat signature, Set was kind of depressed, as the Ants were focused mostly on the lower levels.

"I just wasted 17 king Raven Smoke bombs, and yet I only managed to knock out nearly ninety Ants? I have to get justice for my grenades!"

With that, he went on a killing spree. Any unconscious Ant met with a King Raven Brass knuckle. Violently blowing their heads to bits, leaving their bodies headless. And at the same time, the King Raven was devouring their souls, making itself stronger. Although the increase in strength from absorbing a Demon class beast's soul was minimal when coupled with their extraordinary numbers they would become a significant boon. No matter how he saw it, it was always two birds with one stone.

. . .

Three days have passed, and yet Set has already gone down four stages. He had received more than 290 blood points. Some Ants may have escaped, but that didn't really matter, as long as he kept killing and grinding these beasts, 20,000 was as good as his. But just as Set was about to take a break, he was given a scare. He saw a little boy with black hair carrying a bow in his hand and a quiver on his back. The same boy he saw running away from the Scaled Tiger. The boy was running towards him at full speed, not even slowing down.

A few seconds later, the earth shook, and loud cries sounded. Set opened the map confused, but what he saw electrocuted him back to reality. A wave of red sorts was moving violently moving towards him. While Set was frightened by the sheer number of the Ant headed his way, he didn't even move an inch. Instead, like a courageous warrior who had no fear, he stood tall and proud.

"Why can't they just let me kill them with peace?"

Right after he said that he saw ants numbering in the hundreds crawling towards him. Some of them on the ground, some on the walls, some on top of others. What he saw reminded him of the frightening game he used to play. But this was real life, there was no respawn in five seconds. There were no checkpoints. But what are these things to Set? Five seconds to respawn? It was just a cheap version of his blood points. Checkpoints, huh? With the system, he could do whatever he wanted. And in the face of these Ants, Set could only say one thing.

"Rest in Pieces!"

With that Set unleashed his cursed flames on the Ant masses.
