New Tech and New Things

On the top of the screen was a notification, it read: "Koresmalin arms new and cheap deals out now! Buy before its gone!" Koresmalin weapons, one weapon in particular caught my eye. The Shaksha 250, tapping on the weapon, it expanded, showing it's description.

"The newest rifle of the Shaksha line, this rifle boasts a better recoil system along with a stronger caliber for a more powerful shot. Restricted to special forces as well as mercenary companies, the weapon dominates in medium to short ranges. With slightly less weight to it's predecessor, the price is high but the tide of battles will change quick with this rifle, lastly, a cheek rest for comfortable aim while in a stationary position."

Beautiful weapon i thought to myself, compared to the weapons i have, i don't have any Koresmalin arms weapons in stock, it's magazine was curved with a long barrel and a built in foldable grip under the barrel, it's appearance was more slim and darker than the other Shaksha rifles i've seen, the stock was collapsible for a change in combat form. The price tag showed the price as 6 million. 6 million for this rifle alone? Cheap deals they said, unless this is exempted from the deals.

A simple press of add to card, i thought to myself, should i check for new attachments as well? Sights and a laser would do for now.

In the attachments section, it showed more add ons for weapons, mostly Koresmalin brand. We did a big impact just from that mission didn't we? Wonder if that's what always happens when we help manafacturers. We get more benefits than usual for a time. In the sights category, it showed more Koresmalin branded sights. All with the same Koresmalin charm on them, simplistic, cheap, but reliable. A few though looked more complex though, with more modifications on them for range to even a changeable sight for medium to close quarters combat. One was a flip sight, created by Koresmalin, holographic and newer in design compared to it's more simplistic counterparts. Tapping on the sight, the description read: "Part of the new shipment of Koresmalin arms, this optic was a newly made design from the research & development team of Koresmalin, with one optic showing ranges for long to medium combat situations, flipping it to the side, the front optic supports the rifle with close combat situations."

A single tap and the optic was now in my cart, last, a laser. But now it's better to just have a simpler laser.

More & more weapons and attachments. I gotta stop becoming a shopaholic of weapons and keep my money.

After the purchase, above me, muffled metal clattering started as my package goes down.

Walking out, i grab the box with my newly bought weapon, along with it's attachments.

Just like before with my other weapons, i went to work, installing the new attachments to the Shaksha. Putting alot less modifications to my rifle than the others.

Finally, it was done. Now sporting the new sight & laser. Time to test it out. Just a quick session of shooting, a few mags then i'll rest it on the closet. I recall Lennox pressing a button to make a dummy emerge. He pressed something under the table, now where is that button.

I motioned my hand under the table, feeling for a bump or hole.

Soon, i felt a hole into the table, pressing down on it with my finger, the dummy emerged from the wall. There it is, a personal target to shoot at.

I went opposite of the table, making some range between me and the target. A single pull of the bolt, i aimed at the dummy's head. Squeezing the trigger, a loud shot rang out. I felt little recoil hitting my shoulder from the shot, though the sound was louder than the other weapons i have.

Does anyone hear this or not?

Firing single shots, i emptied a magazine. Now I'm satisfied. Placing it onto the closet, there were magazines already waiting on it's slot. Pressing the same button again, the dummy, now riddled with holes, retreated back into the wall.

Phew, that was fun. What to do now i wondered, thinking again of what i could do next. A thought came to mind, Guns of Honor, that game i played with the team. I could just play by myself on it for awhile, against AI.

Leaving the armory, i walked passed my bedroom to the outside living room. I sit down on the couch, relaxing on it's soft cushion. I grab a controller and turn on the tv, botting up the game, i waited patiently while gripping the controller. The game loaded fully showing the multiplayer screen, but with no other players it only showed me on the board. I picked another map, one named 'Murky Troubles', a swamp map. Huh coincidence, playing a map based in a swamp after just having a vision taking place in one.

I picked a random character from the selection, with an unchanged loadout, after selecting what i need, it was time.

The match began, 7 teammates with me against 8 enemies. The match started with me spawning on a cleared out pad of the swamp, running around the area. It was mostly filled with water, sunlight pierced certain areas around the map making fighting difficult for the unlit areas.

The fight quickly began with AI teammates & enemies alike firing at one another while i maneuver around the battlefield, looking at the map it had 1 large path on both sides heading to the middle with smaller paths diverting from the main path to smaller areas. This map is quite complex, so many routes to go through. At the middle area, it was just a large plot of land devoid of foliage with only dirt and water puddles scattered around the area.

I racked up kills with running around taking out enemies in my path, i love this game. Dying a few times the battle continued on. At last, it ended with my team winning, me taking most of the kills. This is too fun to stop now, maybe some more matches before i stop.
