Katie snorted. "As if I care."

"Do you know the punishment that will be given to me?" Kinsey leaned over the table causing Katie to move back and put down her scoop of ice cream. "Looks like I'll be ordered to run around the forest all day... naked." Katie's eyes bulged, hearing this. "What if I pass your cottage? Or do you want to see me naked?"

Katie's cheeks felt hot as the color was as red as a tomato. But she didn't know whether her face flushed due to anger or embarrassment to hear the vulgar words of the man. Her angry was skyrocket when she saw the cunning smirk on the man's lips.

"YOU....!!"

"I don't mind if you see me naked. Should I go to your room?"

Kinsey's reveries instantly shattered when he heard Katie's voice on his phone speaker.

"Hm. I'm still here. It's late. You better sleep."

Through Merah's vision, Kinsey could see that the disappointed expression at Katie made his feelings of guilt even more immense.

Kinsey decided to lie down with his eyes closed. He didn't even respond when Merah scolded him for making Katie sad.

Merah keeps nagging for hours because it seems that Merah didn't hear the voice that Kinsey heard.

Kinsey recalled having experienced this before. At that time, the voice asked if he wanted the red king's power.

Does Kinsey want it? Maybe yes. If it was him who hadn't found his younger sister before, or who hadn't cleared up the internal politics of Paxton in the past, maybe he would have wanted to.
