Steamy

-

As he patiently sat outside of the bathhouse doors with his hand on the hilt of his onyx blade he called over one of his Shiyūdōtai servants to go to Karu's shop and pick up the clothes that he had ordered the week before in preparation for his new bride and to also tell the artisan that since Suurin was smaller than he had ever anticipated that the wardrobe would probably need more alterations but any alterations that would be needed would be paid in double and the servant bowed and ran off on his way.

-

As Suurin got undressed he couldn't help but feel nervous but also a bit excited about his first time bathing himself in hot water and he couldn't help but blush as he stepped in and smelled the sweet and romantic perfumes of the beautiful floating yuzu for never really before this moment had he ever felt so pretty...and it made him feel warm and fuzzy inside, made him feel appreciated which was a feeling he couldn't remember feeling since the last time his birthday was celebrated when he had turned four just before his Daha's death.

It felt good and comforting to feel such a way and knowing that Kyion was outside keeping watch over him like a noble hero of legend made him blush even more and wrap his arms around himself to stop the jitters from the butterflies in his belly as he sunk himself further into the water.

Its like warmth and bliss enveloped him, he had never felt so good in his own skin or so...safe! Somehow knowing that...his Kyion was so kind to him made him feel safe and not nervous for the first time.

And somehow the combination of the beautiful smells and soothing water helped to ease his aching muscles until he felt like taking his hair tie out and letting his hair down something his ojisan would have surely called scandalous.

And as he sat in the steamy and sweet smelling bath relaxed enough to feel like mush he couldn't stop himself from drifting off into the land of dreams filled with sweet hopes and …Kyion...his kind and noble husband with such bright and handsome amber eyes.

-

When the servant came back to tell Kyion that the errand was completed an hour had passed and Kyion felt himself growing anxious for the time when Suurin was finally done in the bathhouse for he found that his mind was racing with the thoughts of all that could be going wrong.

I know that Shiyūdōtai can take long to bathe

But...really! An hour?

What if I really should have just taken him to bed?

After all he is still sick and he could have fainted!

And that frail silly boy could drown himself for all I know!

So… would it perhaps be too much to just check on him?

NO HE IS IN THE NUDE! AND I AM CONTROLLING MYSELF!

But what if he really isn't alright?...

-

As Kyion opened the heavy doors he firmly called out for Suurin

"Suurin it is time to return home!"

But only two begate no response which prompted Kyion to great worry so he stepped further into the bathhouse only to feel his heart jump at the sight before him.

He could tell by the way that the towel was folded under the boy's arm that he had no doubt fallen asleep.

"The insolent!"

But he was soon far too distracted to care when he walked to the other side of the tub to see what was quite honestly the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

It was almost like a delicately painted bijinga of an ancient beauty brought to life!

His pale and beautiful Suurin was half shrouded in mist like some holy vail as his long midnight hair was free and draping over his shoulder and framing his slightly flushed cheeks while he laid there sprawled out naked like a water nymph leaving Kyion cursing himself for forgetting how to breathe.
