On a hillside sat a figure wrapped in a white robe, holding a staff with an unusual twisted shape.
"Hmm…"
They looked up at the sun and pulled back the hood of their robe, revealing an androgynous face with long wild hair that seemed to encompass every color in existence.
"He arrived, huh. The human with the brightest soul…" A gentle voice flowed from their lips.
Their violet eyes glazed as if looking somewhere far from the present.
"I see… the spring has come for little Artoria."
They released a sigh of regret.
"I can't be here to witness it… hopefully he frees us all before that madwoman returns for revenge…"
They stood and patted the dust from their robe.
"Farewell Artoria, I hope you master the Lance of Humanity's Hope and support him in his journey."
Their figure melted as they returned since someone like them shouldn't be here in the first place.

Helios awoke as his eyes flung open. The white ceiling seemed familiar.
"Fuck!"
His body was assaulted with anguish. He struggled and leaned against the wall behind him. The room had a sunny scent, calming his nerves.
"So I am Helios, a human… a human!!!" He raised his fist. His boundless joy easily killed off the pain. Then he rechecked his memories. "What a pleasant surprise. My memories are already synced…"
It was 870 AD, two centuries after his last reincarnation.
He is the thirteenth and one of the youngest Knights of the Round Table—an order of most trusted knights of Arthur Pendragon, or Artoria Pendragon known to her closest friends.
She took him in from the streets.
To repay her, he trained like no tomorrow. With his persistence, it wasn't long before he was accompanying Artoria on the battlefields, fending off rampaging dragons and slaughtering the forces of other nations.
He accompanied Artoria as she carried out the duties of a ruler.
However, a few days ago everything changed.
Knight Lancelot and Artoria's Queen Guinevere's secret affair was revealed by Agravain, a fellow of Helios.
Lancelot flew in rage and slaughtered many knights along with Agravain with his holy sword Arondight before he made a beeline towards the city gate.
Artoria wasn't here as she was repelling the invaders of Rome on the borders and Gawain, the one capable of stopping Lancelot, was expressing his grief over the corpses of his siblings.
Someone disclosed this scandal to the public. What followed was an outburst about the execution of a licentious queen.
The Round Table was forced to decide on Guinevere's execution.
On the day of execution, the citizens hurled nasty abuses at Guinevere, calling her 'Unchaste wife' and such.
But, Lancelot appeared like a berserker and attacked the only knight at the execution site—Gareth, the second youngest female knight. The idiotic girl couldn't even react to Lancelot's punch.
Helios too became an idiot and tried to block the punch with his sword.
That single punch robbed him of consciousness.
Why am I always an idiot without my memories…?
While he was reminiscing, the door creaked open and a petite blonde girl snuck inside the room. Deep brown bangs on either side of her head bounced like 'dog-ears' as she tiptoed over to Helios.
"Fuck that Lancelot bastard!"
"S-Sir Helios. Are you alright?"
Helios turned towards the voice with blank eyes. The girl performed a clumsy salute.
"Sir Helios, thanks for saving my life."
"Tone down with the formalities. Tell me what's happening in the Camelot."
"N-Nothing. The king is healthy. The knights are fine. Everything is peaceful!"
Helios sterned his gaze and approached her.
Gareth flinched from the golden eyes peering into her. She couldn't tell him or he would rush off into the chaos.
"S-Sir Helios, please r-rest to heal your wounds. King Arthur is returning today."
Helios lifted her chin and gazed into her jade green eyes. "I saved your 'life' while risking my own. Is this how a noble knight repays?"
Gareth's eyes widened briefly. Sir Helios saved me from death, I cannot lie to him, she thought and her lips parted to confess,
"Sir Helios, our Camelot is in a precarious situation."
"How?"
"Sir Mordred has revolted and more than half of the kingdom has joined him in his cause. Right now he is waiting for King Arthur at the Hill of Camlann with his army. He says he will slaughter King Arthur and take the throne as his inherent right."
Helios let go of her and rubbed his chin. With the way things were going, this rebellion was bound to happen. People somehow hated Artoria for her 'perfection'.
"Anyway, how many knights and soldiers are left in the kingdom?"
"About five hundred soldiers and Sir Gawain and three other knights are here."
"Those knights are still mourning?"
Gareth nodded quickly.
Helios's lips curled into a strange grin, terrifying the young girl inexperienced in the cruelty of the war.
"Leave them and gather the rest. We are going to wipe out the rebels before King returns."
"B-But, they are more than ten thous—"
"This again. Are you questioning the decision of your superior?"
Gareth shook her head vigorously before she saluted and sprinted out of the room.
"Haha, time to harvest XP… Status."

"Why do I have these classes from my previous life?"
It never happened before.

"Oh, then the skills..."
He scrolled down the list.

"Level this up and you will receive a surprise," Gaia said with a rather tired smile.
"Gaia, wait!"
"We shall meet again."
"Damn. What did she mean by that?" He grumbled and started examining his wounds.
"Light Heal."
He cast a healing spell derived from Fae language. His internal wounds slowly healed.
"Should finish the enchantment before she arrives."
He imbued his index finger with mana and traced it across his breastplate, writing down the necessary enchantments.
"Humans sure are strong in this Era…"
His chest felt stuffed for some reason.
Even the weakest knight of the Round Table could beat a middle-class devil of their own. Only possible with the help of Merlin, the Court Magus, also known as the Magus of Flowers. The man invented a very similar magic system derived from Fae Language.
He is way stronger than he shows.
Helios was truly oblivious to the 'peculiarity' of the Magus of Flowers.

For those who aren't familiar with FATE, Artoria and Guinevere are just friends who married for the sake of Kingdom, not lesbo for each other or anything xD
