Chapter Seventeen- You're In love With Me

Turanna's Pov

"Don't yell at me! I am Turanna. Where is this coming from?" I asked and instead of answering me he grabbed my arm.

I flinched at the pain of his fingers digging into my skin. The pain was enough to allow one to fear loosing blood.

"Look!" he hissed showing me the text printed on his computer screen, no result found.

"I have data on every single person in this country yet I can't find you!" He hissed.

Oh god. This side of Thomas Carter was rather scary.

"You are over reacting, computers have errors, humans made them!" I state trying to take his hand off me only to fail. It was as if he super glued his hand to me!!!

"This one does not make errors. So I can assume one out of two things; You don't exist or you exist under a different name" he hissed as he pulled me to his chest roughly, staring down at me with piercing eyes.

I was about to speak when a third voice interrupted us.

"Sir?" It was Sushana who wore a confuse expression as her eyes drifted between me and my commander.

I moved away storming out of the room and headed straight for my quarters. I was uncovered and this was my cue to leave and return home.

Geotophia needed its princess more than ever. Or should I say its queen?

*****

I stared at the suitcases before me as my chest tightened. Leaving should be simple right?

Then why the hell was it so difficult? Why did I feel guilty for leaving without saying good bye?

Then it hit me, I couldn't just leave without saying goodbye to the people had now become something me. I owed them the truth...

My heart felt heavy, leaving shouldn't be this hard.

Dragging my suitcases behind me I stopped by the main room door sighing as I eavesdropped before I entered.

"What do you mean by she's not who she says she is?"Rox yelled before they silenced him.

"What do you mean by she's not who she says she is?" He whispered but to me it was still loud enough for me to hear.

"It means she played us, apparently we had a spy working with us all along... I feel betrayed!" Sushana yelled.

"I don't think she's a spy" came Rox's voice and I didn't need to Sushana to know she rolled her eyes.

"Are you blind! The girl doesn't exist!" She yelled.

"Be logical... If she wanted to hurt us she would have already!" Rox justified and before an argument could begin I decided to make my entrance.

"He's right...I am no spy" I stated and three pair of eyes faced me instantly.

"Speak of the devil" Sushana remarked as she crossed her arms.

"If none of you here truly knew what I had to sacrifice you wouldn't be so quick to judge. Ever heard of Latoyia Tayle?" I asked.

"As in princess Latoyia Tayle? The princess who disappeared from the land of Geotophia? The Urban myth?" Thomas asked.

"I was never a myth...the story is quite true" I stated and Thomas arched a brow.

"Because she is the princess...that's why we have no record of her existence. Legend has it that the princess disappeared... She didn't. She simply went into hiding from the assassins that were after her" Roxwell answered.

Well at least someone was able to pick sense from nonsense.

"He's right...and now since I've been uncovered I have to return home. My mother is I'll and I need to take over a queen...also. I have a marriage to prepare for" I state as I felt a single tear slip down my cheeks.

"A marriage?" Thomas asked as he now stood walking closer to me.

"Why are we being told this now?" He asked.

"Because I was planning to leave without a trance but I couldn't. You all may not know it but even though I don't belong here it felt like home" I state as I stared up at him with saturated eyes.

He then looked to Rox and Sushana.

"You're both dismissed I need to have a word with Miss...I mean Latoyia" he stated and with that they left.

"Answer me truthfully... You honestly knew about this marriage didn't you?" He asked and I allowed the tears to fall freely.

"At first I didn't...I swear" I confessed and when I came closer he took steps back.

"Then tell me...how do you expect me to react to this Tur...Latoyia?" He hissed and I looked down.

"I am being forced into a marriage I don't want...if you had a heart I was hoping you would show a bit of empathy" I stated.

"I do have a heart...you just broke it the day I allowed myself to fall in love with you" he stated and my world shattered as I stared up at him with saturated green eyes.
