The First after The Last

"Yeobo."

"Yo. What do you want?" Leira asked as his voice got through her and stepped down her car.

Its been nearly a week after her mother's threat and day by day, more articles came out not only targeting her but also the company that Wushin manages. Her family might not said it but she knew that they are tired of it. Running away from her father's call home, she agreed meeting Daniel who had arrived from Japan to see her since she had just got back from Brazil too.

When she's on her way there which is within the rural area, Kai called her phone.

"You okay?"

"No." She replied short but clearly not lying.

"How's Harvard?" He asked.

"Probably doing good."

"Are you giving me a secret message right now? Do I have to write it down?" Kai said as rustling sound could be heard. Leira sighed exasperatedly.

"Harvard is set aside. As you may heard or not, my mom is currently putting me in hell for being an-"

"So you're in town? Come by my house, milady." He cut her off almost immediately.

"Rich doc finally bought a house, wow." Leira said as she walked crossing the road. She took note of the windy weather when she felt her hair flew like she's sitting in front of a fan.

Fortunately, she wore a pair of baggy jeans and a cropped Chanel shirt today.

"Its nearby your condo."

"Should I be worried?"

"I'm kidding. Not that psycho, sadly." Kai said making Leira laughed lightly.

"Sadly? I got to go now, call you later. We do have to talk soon too."

"Sounds scary."

"Bye Kai." Leira said chuckling and ended the call and walked into the store beside the old looking hospital. She shuddered seeing the sight of it.

"Wow why am I scared of that?" She muttered and soon found Daniel waving her over at the outdoor seat.

"You better have a good reason calling me out like this. My name is already hot in the news." Leira said as she sat down beside him and his bodyguard.

"Hey Leira." He greeted before giving them privacy and keep on a lookout for any prying eyes. Leira gave him a smile.

"Having to watch over Daniel must be a hard work."

"Extremely."

Daniel looked at him in disbelief as Leira stifled a laugh.

"So what is it?" She asked after ordering her coffee. Daniel leaned to the table with his hands together on the table.

"How are you, my precious friend?"

"Not good because of this."

"Ouch. Look at me, see anything?"

"I only see a blue haired giant- oh. Oh wow." Leira said jokingly pushed his head aside, looking at the view at the background.

Its the ocean in full panoramic view.

Daniel chuckled, moving his chair next to her so that they are looking at the view together.

"I always knew you a sucker for this so I had to share. My propose still stays, Ra."

"Huh?"

"Flame thrower." Daniel replied short like its an everyday thing. Leira snorted at that.

"What? You're going to burn my mother?"

"Maybe that will do the deed. She would go straight to hell."

"She is still the one who gave birth to me but couldn't have said that better."

"So what's your plan?"

"Dont know." Leira shrugged.

"Want to follow me to my office later?"

"No thanks. I think I want to walk around the town for a bit before meeting the trio. I've been leaving them hanging for a long time."

"I'm not done with this argument but I'm going to the men's room for a bit." Daniel patted her head and went to the restroom.

"107!" The barista called out their order number.

"Ra."

"Yeah yeah. Go pee ma dude." Leira rolled her eyes.

Taking the coffee into her hand, she sat down at the bench outside. She look blankly at the serene looking grass field.

"Being here is harder than I thought it would." A slight pang in her heart made her grimace subtly.

As if god trying to test her, her eyes landed on someone that she had hoped to not see yet.

"Oh."

"Doc." Leira bring herself to greet him with a small smile.

There stood Seunwo clad with his usual work outfit and his dark green lush locks had grew longer and was pushed back neatly. It took a lot of willpower for her to not just go and hug him.

"You're back?" Seunwo asked.

"Yeah just for a little while. Outside work?" She started making small talk so the atmosphere wont suffer much.

"Ah, I transferred here. Less hectic."

"That's nice." Leira nodded when he pointed at the old hospital. Seunwo noticed the two cups of coffee in her hands.

"Are you waiting for someone?"

"Uh- yeah. Restroom."

"Well, its nice seeing you." He smiled and Leira simply hummed.

"Yeah. You too."

Seunwo stepped inside the cafe just as Daniel walked out with his manager.

The bodyguard went out to get his car.

"Ra. I've been thinking. If we get married- what's up?" Daniel asked meaningfully when he saw her face.

Seunwo paused and looked back to them when he heard him.

"The sky."

"No shit."

Leira laughed and looked to the male beside her. Seunwo soften seeing her laugh.

"Blue suits you here. Very kpop." She chuckled while playing his hair.

"I am suppose to be one." Daniel deadpanned and broke into a smile when she started to tease him.

Realizing he had been staring, the doctor shook his head and went ahead to the counter.

"It takes time." He muttered to himself.

"Are you really not going to do anything about the your mother? How about we get married? You told me she just wanted shares and money right? I could give that since everything is under my name now. I just don't have any interest in getting married so at least if I did, its with someone I'm comfortable with." He shrugged. Leira hummed focusing on his hair.

"I'm not that desperate, Dan. Dragging my friends in my problems is the last thing I want to do."

"Alright times up. I have to go to work." Daniel changed his expression to a poker one since he just had yet again rejected making Leira laugh by the sudden change.

"Just go blue haired giant." Leira nodded and pushed the idol playfully when his car arrived.

He made a face and ruffled her hair.

"Are you going to cry to sleep again?"

"Haha go to work."

Leira's cheerful expression slowly fades as Daniel's car sped away from her.

"If I hadn't seen him, maybe not. So spot on Daniel."

Wushin was checking on the financial report for that month when his sister walked inside his office with a bored face.

"What?"

"Bad mood?" He asked looking back to the reports. Leira made herself comfortable on the sofa by the tall window.

"I have a bottled up tears in my system so better make whatever this is quick. "

"You could let it out here, if you want sis."

"You want me to accept her proposition."

Wushin paused from turning the pages. He looked up to see Leira looking straight into his eyes. He got goosebumps when he sees the look in her eyes before she turned to look outside the window blankly.

Who is he kidding, of course Leira had caught his act. His sister hasn't changed after all.

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"....I just see there's no harm in that. Yes, she got what she wants but its not like you're marrying a total stranger. You already know Kai. He could take care of you, Ra." Wushin said meaningfully, standing up from his seat and went by his sister.

"You have suffered enough." He continued, patting her head gently. Leira sighed.

"What if he doesn't want me?"

"Are you kidding? Even blind people could tell how much he likes you."

"I have dragged him here successfully." Taejin said as he got into the house with Seunwo tailing behind him with a cutting board.

"Are you going to chop me off with that cutting board?" Kai asked jokingly.

"It's a gift, jackass."

"Oho~ Seunwo swore." Taejin and Kai high five ed each other laughing. Seunwo broke into an amused smile.

Hanging out together at Kai's house really made them reminisce to the time where their life weren't that busy.

"Leira is in town by the way. Have you all heard?" Taejin said after losing the football game with Seunwo. He leaned back to the sofa leisurely.

"Yeah she told me." Kai said giving a side glance to the ex.

"I bumped into her during my break time earlier."

"You did? Did you made a fool of yourself?" Taejin asked making the latter chuckle bitterly.

"She was uncomfortable of me, it did kind of hurt a bit." Seunwo said truthfully making Kai sighed annoyed with the general surgeon.

"Leira is a very cool woman. If she's uncomfortable, that's on you bro. You did broke her heart after all." Kai said taking the controller to challenge Seunwo in a Tekken match. Suddenly a call came in and all the eyes landed on Kai's phone caller id.

"Yeobo."

Seunwo sighed when Kai said that with a smirk on his face.

"Where is that chicken restaurant you took me earlier this year? I forgot." Leira's voice could be heard faintly as she speak to the phone. Kai chuckled.

"It's at the 19th street. Eating chicken today?"

"No..not today, I think. Maybe tomorrow or later. I just wanted to know where is it so when I feel like it, I could just go there."

"Want to go with me? You said you wanted to talk."

"Are you going to get a girlfriend sooner or later?" Leira asked making them paused and looked at each other. Kai cleared his throat, feeling like his heart just raced for a brief moment.

"I told you, I would wait for you." He said standing up from his seat and went to his backyard for privacy.

Taejin watched the latter went out and turned to the tensed but highly controlled Seunwo. The straight dark green haired doctor was looking straight into the screen randomly choosing his character left and right without even clicking one in the end.

He's bothered by it no doubt.

"Looks like Leira is moving on." Taejin said making Seunwo clenched his jaw unknowingly.
