CHAPTER 6 - PART 1

Hours passed and I was already so bored, I'm not even listening to what our teacher is discussing right now. I'm just currently staring blankly at the wide open door near me and just watching the swaying leaves flowing with the wind breeze. I just got back into my reality when I heard the bell rang and all of my classmates were chaotic once again most of them were racing their way to the main canteen to buy some snacks because we only have 30 minutes for recess. As for me, of course, I just chose to stay at my usual spot in the corridors to wait for him to pass by.

Sadly, 30 minutes passed but there was no sign of him so I decided to return inside of our classroom. As I was about to enter the door, our class president announced that our teacher for the next subject is absent for today so we have an hour of free time before the next subject. I got excited because I had more time to spend my vacant time in my usual place at the corridors. But then Ali suddenly asked me if I could accompany her to the main canteen because she didn't had the time to eat during recess time there were loads of schoolworks she needed to finish. At first I told her that I don't want to leave my spot because he might pass by any moment, but she told me that it would just me a minute so in the end, I agreed.

As we have entered the main canteen, there was a short queue for the stall that Ali was going to buy her food. I accompanied her until that and my observant self came out once again because I noticed this tall guy in front of us which was so close he was like inches apart from us so I told Ali to back up a bit because he might walk backwards after he receives his order, and so we did. I got curious and scanned this person from head to toe because his back looks kind of familiar, and when I saw the back of his ID lace, that's when I started slowly moving backwards.

"Hey, you okay?" Ali asked me but I wasn't able to answer because I heard this guy called out to him.

"Hey G! Buy one for me too, thanks!" the guy said and when I looked it was that guy Zaliyah fancies! I also saw that he looked at our direction saw he saw me immediately.

"Oh hey little miss Hilario! Nice to see you again!" he greeted me but I noticed that he was nudging George like teasing him but George just slapped his friend's elbow which made me laugh a little.

"Please... call me Sam." I confidently told him and he just smiled at me and they left when their order was served but I guess they sat in the canteen because they didn't walked towards the exit door.

While Ali was ordering, I just stood beside her because I was still collecting myself and was trying not to get too excited for what happened. I can see Ali from the corner of my eye that she was smiling because of my situation right now. Then I was startled when I heard Kurt's voice again from the side, because there was a wall separating the order stalls and the dining hall so he was like peeking there.

"Hey Sam, George's here!" he teased and I just gestured that it's fine and was quickly waving my hands signaling him that there's no need to but it was too late, before I can stop him he already called out to his friend like crazy! Good thing there were only a few students here inside the main canteen.

"HEY GEORGE! SAM'S HERE!" he called. I was expecting that he wouldn't appear because we already saw each other earlier but by my surprise I saw his head peeked behind the wall that was separating the stalls and dining hall which made me smile and I also saw that he was chewing. God, I can't believe Kurt did that! He was eating and I felt that he was disturbed because of what his friend did. Before Ali and I left the canteen, I tried to wave good bye at them but only Kurt waved back because he was still busy eating his food. I didn't mind at least he's eating well and I was still thankful because I got to see him upclose for the first time!

When we reached the classroom again, another classmate of mine asked me to accompany her but to a different canteen, but that's the canteen just beside the main canteen where snacks and other beverages were sold. I was having second thoughts because I was too tired already from walking back and forth but I still agreed because she already begged and I was the only one that she can count on. So we were already there and there are also a few students buying so I just leaned on a wall near the queue where she was buying while waiting for her to finish then I suddenly heard this ruckus of a noise coming from the main canteen beside this one. It was obvious that it was a group of boys so I thought those were the roudy boys from the lower years but I was surprised to see Kurt entering this canteen and the rest of their group followed, including him!

So as usual, Kurt noticed me again because I was just staring at them and I saw him smile and started teasing George in an unusual way, I heard him say this very unexpected statement:

"Oooh~ so that's why you wanted to pass by here huh George?"

I heard that single statement loud and clear because Kurt's voice was loud as hell! Then his friends started laughing and teasing him all the way until they exited the canteen. After they exited, I just lowered my head and started smiling so wide. I've never been speechless this much before! Plus I'm sure that statement of Kurt will never be erased in my mind starting today. Even though I'm not sure if he's serious about that or if he only said that just to tease George? But still though, I've been seeing him a lot today which is making my day even better, and the times I have seen him for today can already make me happy for a whole week! So I'm planning that when I get home, I'll be praying that moments like this can continue or I can also hope that I'll have the courage to speak to him already. But for now, I think it's still not the time for that, I will still need to gather all of my confidence so that it's not embarassing to stand right in front of him.
