It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

***** Violet's POV*****

After Nonna had breakfast with all of us, we headed to the living room whilst Reece and Ella went to the mall and Eric went to work. We both sat down on the couches and began our usual long conversations we used to have frequently. I had no idea how I missed our conversations filled with juicy gossip.

"So how are you holding up, Nonna?" I asked concerned as I reached out and held her hand.

"Much better, Tesoro. It's just time catching up. Old age is no fun bambina." she said in her thick Italian accent whilst laughing.

(Tesoro - sweetheart)

(Bambina - child {girl child})

"I am sorry Nonna." I replied.

"Oh, no. There is nothing to be sorry about, it's just life. I must say Katherine, I am content after seeing the life you are living now. You have always deserved someone who would always treat you like a queen." said Nonna happily.

"I am happy Nonna , Eric loves me so much that it sometimes feels like a dream, but for some reason I feel like something bad is gonna happen. I just don't know what? Everything is just a bit too peaceful. It's like the calm before the storm." I confessed to her anxiously, it's been on my mind for a while now but only after seeing Nonna did it surface.

"Nonsense child. You have walked through hell and this is your reward. Katherine, this is what a normal happy household feels like. You deserve it." said Nonna .

She was right this is the first time I have ever been this happy. I need to embrace normality.

"So your father told me about your Christmas dinner." she said smiling.

"He did?" I replied a bit shocked.

"He was very disappointed when he saw your mother and he told me everything, so I as a mother had the right to force my daughter to attend your feast." Said Nonna proudly.

"So you all are coming?" I asked excitedly.

"Yes." she said beaming at me but her smile dropped," I am sorry I left you alone to fend off the wolves. I don't know what on earth is wrong with Lilian, she is no longer the woman I raised and she turned Olivia into a young replica of her,but I am here now. I will bring hell on earth if Lilian and Olivia hurt you." she said with tears glistening in her guilty eyes. I moved towards her and gave her a warm big hug as my tears began to follow.

"it's okay." I whispered, barely audiable.

******Eric's POV******

"Careful!" yelled at Violet as she jumped around on a ladder hanging last minute Christmas decorations.

Damn she takes Christmas seriously.

"I will." she shouted as she hung plastic Poinsettias from the ceiling,"You need to calm down." she said as she jumped off the ladder and I instinctively caught her in my arms.

"What the hell was that?! You could have fallen." I scolded her, but she just continued smiling.

"But I didn't. You caught me." she said as her arms found their was around my neck and she pulled herself closer to my face as the her berry scented shampoo filled my nostrils. She placed a sweet loving kiss on my lips leaving me hungrily for me but to my dismay she climbed out of my bridal styled hold before I could carry her away.

She sat down next to the Christmas tree and began wrapping presents as her brown hair which was open began falling onto her face as she looked down as the presents. I sat beside her and moved my hand to her face whilst her eyes moved towards mine as my fingers brushed against her cheek, moving her hair behind her ear. My hand moved back to her cheek and our eyes met, I leaned forward and kissed her passionately, without hesitation she response. Her lips were so sweet and soft as I bit down on her bottom lip gaining an entry, we fought for dominance and I kissed her hungrily as she gripped onto me. The kiss came to an end when we pulled away for air.

"So what did you get everyone?" I asked her and she laughed at me whilst shaking her head.

"Well we got Sophie a new dress, Diana a silver necklace with a small diamond pendant, Ethan a gery scarf with a black, grey and white checked fedora, Camila a book series, Hunter a bottle of bourbon, Ruby a new dollhouse, Alec a Gameboy."

A Gameboy?

Those things are close to impossible to acquire, I wonder where she got it?

"My mum and dad a trip to the Bahamas, My mother a purfume, my dad a set of cufflinks, Nona a string of pearls and my sister a Gucci handbag." she said listing all the stuff," What did you get?" she asked"

We got..." I said emphasizing 'we' whilst giving her a millionaire dollar smile, "My brother a bottle of bourbon as well, Ella a pair of ruby earrings, my mother a set of crystal wine glasses, James and Rosalie a holiday to Thailand, Nick and Scarlett a trip to Greece and for Tobias and Stella a trip to Rio deGinero." I said.

"Smart. All the couples got holidays, so what did you get me?" she asked curiously.

"I meant to ask you since you mentioned getting your sister a gift, will she be joining us?" I asked trying to avoid her question.

"Honestly, I don't know if Olivia would come," she replied, " but you gonna have to try harder that that to dodge my question, but good attempt." she said winking at me with one of her breathtaking smiles.

" If I tell you it won't be a surprise." I told her as we made our way up to our bedroom.

I removed my shirt whilst jumped into the bed, I drapped my arms around Violet's hips as I moved closer to her and placed a light kiss on her bare shoulder.

"I love you. " I told her.

She turned around in my arms and said, "I love you too." and placed a quick peck on my lips before she snuggled her head into my chest and my arms still remained wrapped around her, where they belong.

I don't know what I ever did to deserve her as my reward, but I am ever so grateful for it all.

The next morning I woke up to a beautiful woman who still remained snuggled into my chest.

"wake up love." I said to her as I took the loose strands of her hair and began tickling her.

"wake up love." I told her once again warning a groan from her as her eyes fluttered open with an adorable frown on her forehead.

"good morning." she said i a sleepy voice.

"Merry Christmas, love." I said to her and gave her a toothy smile.

"Merry Christmas." she said and gave me a quick kiss on my cheek before jumping off the bed and went into the shower.

"What do you think you are doing?" she asked with a raised eyebrow as I followed her into the bathroom.

"Joining you." I said with a smile, "Come on you know you want to."

She narrowed her eyes at me and said, " my mum warned me about people like you."

" come on." I nagged.

" okay fine." she said with a smile whilst shaking her head as me.

I sat down in the living room by the warm fire in the fire place whilst waiting for Violet to come downstairs.

She decorated ever inch of this room with red and white stockings on the fire place, decorations hanging down by the window and a giant Christmas tree in the corner next to the fire place.

I heard the sound of heels hitting against the floor and looked up. She absolutely stunning as she walked down the stairs in a beautiful red dress. The sight of her was breathtaking.

*****Violet's POV*****

I walked down the stairs in a long velvet red dress with a bit of a low V - neck. The house was relatively warm because of the fire place.

When I saw Eric in the red cashmere sweeter with a v-neck, I bought him and black tracksuit pants. He looked absolutely handsome and his famous smile made my heart skip a beat.

Breath in and out, if baby's can do it so can I...

"You look gorgeous." he said snaking his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him so there was no longer any space between us.

"You look handsome. " I said to him.

"Well honey with a face like mine, I must most definitely be handsome ." he said making me laugh.

" You are quite presumptuous. Does it not hurt to carry such a big head on that poor neck of yours? ." I asked him whilst laughing.

" I know I am and no love it doesn't " he said laughing, "so here is your first Christmas present."

He said handing me a box with white wrapping paper with a lovely gold bow.

I gently opened the gift and started laughing when I saw what he got me, "lingerie, really?" I said still laughing

I put the red peice of material back into the box and placed it on the floor next to me, "Thank you for the present." I said to him. With a smile.

" You could always test it out tonight." he suggested.

"That sounds like a good idea, but I think I'll pass." I said to making groan in disappointment.

Men...

" 3 more to go." he stated.

"3 more?" I asked rhetorically, "you really are spoiling me." I said laughing.

"Yes here is the second one." he said placing a fairly heavy box wrapped in red paper with a sliver bow, on my lap.

"Oh my gosh!" I said ecstatically as I stared at the turntable. I placed it on the floor next to me whilst getting up and I threw my arms around him, "thank you"

"You welcome. Here is the second to last one." he said whilst placing another large box infront of me that was too heavy for me to pick but I still eagerly unwrapped the green paper with Christmas trees on it,off.

" This gift makes a sense." I said it was a selection of vinyls. There was a whole selection of songs I loved, brother Louie by modern talking, Eyes off you by Frankie Valli, It's my party by Lesley Gore, He's so fine by the Chiffons, Bulid me up buttercup by the Foundations but my hands stopped at my all time favorite, be my baby by the Ronettes.

I stood up and setup the turntable in the living room and put on the record.

I made my way towards Eric and extended my hand out to him and we began dancing.

Eric placed a hand on my waist with his fingertip touch my low back as we danced.

He spun me around in his arms as we danced to the tune. I fitted perfectly in his muscular arms as we swayed to the song.

I threw my head back laughing as he sung along to the song. I wished time would stop, so I could live in the moment, just the two of us having the time of our life.

*****Ella's POV*****

Bloody hell! What is that noise so early in the morning. I walked out the door and into the hallway looking down stairs trying to locate the source of disruption, my eyes landed in the living room. I smiled as I saw Eric and Violet dancing and laughing with each other. For the first time in a long time I saw a side of Eric I hadn't seen in a while. The song ended and they shared a sweet loving kiss. Awe, they so cute together.

I'm gonna die alone...

I knew I was being creepy but I continued watching them as she handed him his present.

Oh,my gosh...

****** Eric's POV*****

After we finished dancing Violet handed me my Christmas present. It was very light and in a small rectangular box with a red wrapping paper that had a green bow on top the left hand corner.

I gently opened my present and was completely shocked at what I saw.

A pregency test.

I held it up and looked at her, then pack at the test and back at her. I placed it on the coffee table as I pulled her into my arms, giving her a hug whilst lifting her up and spun her around as her laugher filled the air. I placed her back on the ground and kissed her passionately, I smirked as I felt her grip on my shirt with both hands as I tightened my hold on her. The kiss came to an end when we heard the door bell ring.

She groaned letting go of me and made her way to the door I pulled her hand gently, " I got this, you just rest."

"I am pregnant not disable. " she said to me whilst laughing, " Eric let's just keep this between us for now." she told me and I nodded.

I opened the door to see Sophie, Camila and Ethan were all on my porch, "come in." I said smiling at them.

"Took you long enough." said a grumpy Sophie walking in which only made my smile grow.

"Guys!" yelled Violet.

We made our way to the living room. They placed their presents for everyone else under the tree and then we all seated around the fire place, laughing and talking.

*****Violet POV******

"Hey guys." said Diana as she entered the room.

"No problem." I replied, sipping on my hot Coco, but at the sight of Hunter I almost choked.

What Are you smoking, boy?

"Oh, wow." said Sophie laughing .

"Bro, that is a crime to your head." said Ethan laughing even harder.

"Hunt, you look like Enrique Iglesias." said Eric.

"He's gay." said Hunt as he sat next to me on the floor clsoe to the fire.

"Exactly." said Sophie laughing more, whilst doing some sort of high five, fist bump thing with Sophie.

Awe, they bonding...

"Ha ha, funny guy, funny guy. Funny guy with an ugly looking face." said Hunter making us laugh.

The day went well with our friends and got even better once Ella and Reece joined us. One could only hope that tonight would be as successful.

Please God if tonight goes well I will nice to my mother, I will not swear and I will go to church.
