Envy

Day Five

Monday xx xxxx

"Is there really school?" Salem asked flabbergasted.

"Yes! I know, I know it's crazy but that's how it is," Reinhardt answered.

Kryta was just listening to their conversation as she held her short school shirt as she looked out the window once again in awe. She didn't know what they were talking about nor did she care. The backpack felt heavy on her back, she never had to ever do labor in her life nor has she ever held something so heavy! But it isn't as heavy as she thought, this could be the strength difference between her or Emily...She should really forget about Emily and her old life if she wants to start all over again.

She continued to stare out the window. Let's see, they passed a small area of greenery with weird poles with primitive buildings, a tall building, a lamp poll, another tall building, turn, a lot more lamp poles, a short building compared to the other with much more width which she guesses is the school.

Reinhardt pulled up along with other cars to the front of the school.

"Salem, take care off Emily, don't be mean to her" she turned to Kryta, "And you make sure to behave yourself" Kryta huffed as she played her braided black hair.

"Aight, I will. Bye!" Salem said, waving towards Reinhardt as she drove away. Did she really have to come to school after the whole thing that happened yesterday? Salem whined inside as she began heating up again because of the dread of seeing her classmates. She'll just visit Sallow again before the classes start. But she also needs to aid Kryta…

"Why are you here?" Kryta asked Salem as she looked through the glass walls which she assumes is the school's office judging by the counters and desks filled with papers and 'monitors'.

"They'll help you," Salem said before running off.

Kryta sighed as she watched her run off.

She opened the glass door and looked around a bit lost on what to do. She walked further in and she saw a man sitting in one of the desks. She walked towards him and coughed to get his attention.

He stopped doing whatever he was doing and looked up to face Kryta, "Can I help you?" he asked.

"I'm new here and I believe I need a schedule and perhaps a tour around the school," Kryta said.

The man sighed, readjusted his glasses and went on the computer, "Name?"

Kryta was about to say Kryta but remembered in this world, in this body, she is Emily Thomas, "I believe it's Emily Thomas,"

"Alright, wait for it to print out" the man said as she stood up and walked towards a white box. This white box ejected a piece of paper and the man pulled it out, handing it to Kryta.

"I'll call someone down, wait minute will ya?" the man glared at Kryta over the desk. She glared right back at him.

She looked at the paper and noticed something odd. The writing looked too perfect to be written, could it be it was that box that wrote it? Kryta began inspecting the paper.

The lettering looked like gibberish before all of sudden it began rearranging itself. Kryta looked at the paper again but this time she understood what said.

"I was called?"

Kryta turned around and saw quite a charming boy. He has bright curly blonde hair with a pair of blue eyes. He smiled at Krya as he noticed her starring.

Kryta just glared at him. He tensed up by her hostile stance.

"My name Marshal and you are?" He asked her.

"Kryta Einz Lancaster, I advise you remember it" Kryta said she walked passed him towards the door.

"Well, aren't you going to open the door?" she said as she stood next to the door with a look of disgust.

"Y-Yes!" Marshal obeyed the black-haired girl.

This was odd, usually girls will stick to him like magnets and practically ask to be stepped on with the exception of a few he would care about but this! He never had any girl straight up be this rude. He could feel her glare knives behind his head. Marshal held on to Kryta's schedule, walking down to the school corridor.

The name on the paper said Emily Thomas not Kryta Lancaster! Is this the wrong schedule? He should ask.

"You are Emily, right?"

"That would be correct,"

"You said you were Kryta…"

"Did I?"

"Nevermind"

Marshal read the schedule, her first class would be with him...both in her second, third, encore, she's in all his classes!

"It appears we have all the same classes!" He tried sounding as exciting as he possibly can.

"It seems so…"

First his elder brother went missing and now this!?

When Kryta first saw him she was immediately filled with rage. His hair, his eye color, skin tone...THEY WERE THE EXACT SAME AS HERS!!! Her lovely blonde wavy hair, her shining blue eyes, they were all gone! Instead she has this disgusting black hair in a stupid pitiful braid! These disgusting mud filled eyes?! She's so pale it looks sickly! Why does he get to look like that? Why not her!?

She just can't.

She hates him, she loathes him, she is absolutely disgusted by his existence.

"It appears we have all the same classes!" He said.

"It seems so…" Kryta said, trying to keep her cool. They have the same classes together, that's all, that's all.

Her first class was uneventful, it was however the most difficult class since it was about this world's geography and history.

Her second class is mathematics, she is exceptionally good at this since she already knew everything.

Her third isLanguage Arts, she's already well educated in this area of studies but there were a few different things she didn't know about.

Lunch, she ate alone behind the school.

Her fourth class is an encore class, physical education, she was horrible at this.

Her fifth is science, this was new but she caught on rather quickly.

The last period of the day was mostly for school clubs, band kids, or just free time from most students.

Marshal has left her since he had a band, he didn't think twice when leaving her, not that she cared.

Kryta had decided to just browse the different clubs.

Kryta walked and walked and walked a bit more down the halls. They were quite empty since everyone had their own thing going on. Before Marshal left he gave her a list of all the different clubs and programs that the schools have. He explained what these clubs were before leaving, she may have been too harsh on him.

Kryta stood against a wall and marked some clubs she had interest in.

Photography?, literature, history, and chess. There isn't really much she is interested in, she'll decide to visit the phototagrapy club first, it is the closest afterall.

She sighed and walked to the left towards where the club is based on what the paper said. As Kryta walked down the hall she would occasionally stop and look inside the different club rooms. She saw how happy and  nostalgic the other students were. They seemed so free…

When Kryta was young she never experienced much fun. All she had were those small joyous moments that had deception all writing over it but she didn't care. She had many near death experiences, her mother neglected her, her father was never in her life til he wanted to marry her off, her one only friend, Nox, didn't really like her at all. Her whole life felt, how should I say it? Fake, it all felt fake. Her mothers random sickness, the impossible neglect she experienced, the crimes she'd commit against humanity, the hate she received back, everything, even her entire existence.

But as a child and up to her teenage years, Kryta didn't acknowledge it, she knew it was happening in the back of her mind but she didn't process it til 'she' came around.

Her half-sister Alicia. She hates Alicia for taking everything away from her, every little thing Kryta held on was gone. So she bullied her to the point...to the point...Kryta has seemed to forget something.

Wait, wait, wait on for a second! She was perfectly fine til Alicia came along. As a response Kryta harassed Alicia til what? What did Kryta last remember? Think, think, think!

All I remember is going to sleep but then what? Something else happened. What happened there that brought me here?

Could it be I had been reincarnated somewhere to the distant future as Emily Thomas? Did I just mix up my memories with Emily's and that's why I don't remember my life as Emily? Could this still be my world? But if I did get reincarnated I should have died as me! I would remember! Why don't I remember?

Kryta thoughts were swirling with new realizations and thought of why she was here. This would be the second time Kryta would have this crisis since she woke up as Emily. She had to calm down.

She stopped walking and breathed in and out, in and out. Kryta has calmed down a bit.

She got so lost in thought she walked to some other place in the school she didn't recognize. She looked around and a door with a small rectangle window. She looked up trying to find a sign but she didn't find any. She finally decided to look inside the room through the window.

Kryta looked inside. There were a bunch of students either holding long silver things or huge tubes made of gold. There was teacher in the front writing some music notes. Then all of sudden there was a loud blast of noise, it sounds quite...cheerful.

Kryta closed her eyes as she saw a swirl of colors, red, orange, yell, pink, brown. She felt happy. Kryta opened her eyes and watched them play. She had already forgotten her thoughts from before.

She looked and listened closer. There were a few mistakes here and there but overall it was amazing! She looked at her fellow peers closer and noticed someone, Marshal.

She sighed and felt guilty. She wanted to change and start all over again so why did she act so horrible to him. He didn't deserve that, he didn't deserve to have some already scary girl glare at him all day. He wasn't a masochist!

She should really apologize to him. Kryta told herself she would apologize tomorrow when they had a homeroom. She quickly left before anyone would notice her.
