Queen of the Night 2

Shia was busy preparing some flowers. She angrily mumbled something about "those darn theater kids''. Red, yellow, orange colors they said, for the aesthetic they said, you are the flower girl they said.

"I hate theater kids," Shia angrily thought.

With scissors in hand, Shia cut the rose's thorns of the stem of the flower. These flowers were the ones she had grown herself. She remembers when she was given the flower seeds from her elder sister right before she left to go to the Third for her job. That was three years ago, right when she began her freshman years. With the ongoing investigation done by the First, her sister won't be coming home any time sooner, not til they get what they want.

There lies the beautiful red, yellow, and orange roses. Sprinkled with some water drops to keep them fresh, they looked like diamond gems embedded in the vibrant colored petals. Of course they would shine and look so heavenly, they were given by her sister, a sister she would never see til the First is gone, and the First disappearing is an impossible event. Shia sighed as she wished the First could have just vanished along with the other 80% percent of people taken during the Vanishing.

Shia grabbed the royal blue ribbon and the white thin cloth and tied the flowers, bounding them all together. As someone once said from Old, "With such beauty, carries a danger so evil it may just eat you whole".

With one last glance, Shia got up with a bouquet in hand, and off she went to the theater. Despite her hate for the theater kids, she got paid, and she got paid enough to suckup to those theater kids.

As she strolled through the greenhouse, she laid her eyes upon a certain white flower, a flower already dead. There lies the Queen of the Night, one much like a certain princess in a novel she had once read. With more beauty than they can handle, they bloom once every blue moon and only at night. Not alive to be seen by the children of day but alive long enough to be seen withering away by the children of dawn. However, unlike the princess, the queen had a name. It is that one gap, one too large, they would never be alike.

Shia huffed at the thought. So with tanned skin, hair darker than the darkest night, and bright eyes yellow as the sun, she walked out the greenhouse and to the theater she went.

---------------------------------

"SHIAAAA!" Sirius yelled out. He walked into the greenhouse with Kryta trailing behind. He looked around searching for Shia but alas, she was not in sight.

"Who is Shia? You've mentioned her quite a lot over the time we've known each other," Kryta asked with a hint of curiosity.

Sirius looked over her at her and shook his head, "Shia is my best friend! She is very pretty and very kind, despite hitting me a lot", he paused as he thought of something before speaking again, "She is the only one in my heart so don't be crushing on me~"

Kryta griminced at the thought of even thinking of him in such way, "No need to warn me, at all"

Sirius stared at her for a while before laughing, "I'M JOKING HAHAH! Le-let me see if-f any of the other members are here to introduce you, kay?"

"Alright…"

Sirius began walking into the mass of plants walking to, where Kryta believes, the first place they have met.

Kryta stared in the greenhouse in awe once again. I mean, who wouldn't? It's absolutely breathtaking. The greenery and life filling in the space all around the glass dome. It almost seemed like a miniature jungle but way better kept. This sight is definitely worth the amount of sweat from the humidity in here.

"Don't mind the heat, I'm not used to it either but for the sake of plant life, I deal with it"

"Hmmm, how long did it take to grow all this?" Kryta asked.

Sirius slowed down and pondered how to answer, "It took as long as the school has been here. Based on that i'd say...about one thousand years"

"That long!" Kryta said in shock.

"Yep, now let's continue! We're almost there"

---------------------------------------------------------

"There they are!" Sirius happily said.

The said club members were...just one boy seated down at the garden table.

"There is just one person though…" Kryta stated.

"ELI! Where are the others?" Sirius asked.

The boy looked at Sirius and back at his phone.

"Eli, I know you can hear me," Sirius said with a look of disappointment.

Eli just typed away at his phone.

Sirius just looked at Kryta and back at Eli before continuing, "Anyway, that's Eli, the one in charge of the finance and sales. We have others, however like stated earlier, today isn't one of our meeting days and considering recent events...We may not see any other members for a very long time"

Events he says, could this event be what is causing everyone to be very gloomy. Event...Now that Kryta thinks about it, she hasn't been connected with recent events. Perhaps something has happened and she just didn't know. No, no, no, that exactly happened.

Kryta breathed in and out as she opened her mouth, "Pardon me, but what is this event that you speak of?"

Sirius looked at her, for a split second it seemed he was about to laugh, and before he said anything, someone else spoke up.

"You really don't know?" It was Eli who spoke, "The vanishing, tons of people just straight up and left, gone, vanishiedm" Eli stood up and walked towards Kryta, "It is your duty as a Deaor citizen to know what is going on! Many suffered from the sudden collapse of the economy caused by this vanishing. Loved ones are just gone with no explanation. Are they okay? Are they safe? They don't know!  Deaor is the only place that is 'spared' by this disaster, why wouldn't it? It's just like the first…"

Kryta looked at Eli with a surprised look. She figured something did happen but this. Based on her previous teachings about politics and economy, something like this is catastrophic. It is near impossible to maintain a stable economy in the foreseeable future. She thought and thought, what would her home do in this situation. What if Nox vanished into thin air with no trace of evidence? What would happen if her mother disappeared….

Kryta jumped at a certain thought.

Is that what they felt when she delivered those orders for blood? Kryta couldn't help but sigh and shake those thoughts away. She wasn't at fault, was she? No, No, No, not at all.

"You do know how I feel about the First", Sirius said a bit upset.

"I still can't understand you nor why Shia even bothers with you", Eli retorted.

"We both know she's built different"

"Yeah, if you call being a previous resident of the Fourth then yeah, she is most differentially built different"

Sirius just glared at him.

Kryta had long then left, she almost forgot what she was going to do.

WIth one thought on her mind she left. If getting embarrassed and nervous meant forgetting her home, then she was willing to to burn the world to do so.

Oh Marshal, how I really didn't mean any of that...Most of those things at least.
