The education of a moody girl (2)

Maybe I can pretend I haven't arrived yet. How many people would know I had arrived here?

1. The receptionist

2. The brat who enjoyed messing with people

3. Literally anyone who could have been watching, this is school tons of people saw me being harassed by a hat, probably

I'll risk it, I need leads.

I opened the door, a smiling teenage boy greeted me.

I crossed my arms"This is the girls dorm"

He ran his hand through his ebony black hair. "Would you give me a moment of your time?"

"This is still the girls dorm, you have 15 seconds to make a pitch"

"No need to worry those rules don't apply to important members of the nobility.

"I apologize, but I am not one of those members. It would trouble me if you keep imposing. Oh-and times up, my apologies once again. Good day.

I closed the door.

*knock* *knock*

I opened the door, the boy was still standing there. He smiled at me "if you don't want to talk here we can talk outside."

Take a hint, the place was an excuse. "Umm, I don't know how to turn you down."

"It's excessive but it would make you happy we can talk in front of the dorm in a few minutes." He walked away at a leisurely pace before I had the chance to reject him.

Ahh, I really don't wanna go. I agreed with him about it being excessive, so lets stay in. I wrote a few lines on a piece of paper and then went back to the hallway to catch a messenger . A few girls walked by and I waved at them. "Excuse me, but do you know a boy with black hair and golden eyes?"

They stared at me like I was an unfamiliar squirrel. "You mean Cyrus Fyordor?"

"Maybe, I actually don't know. But would you mind giving him this explanation letter for me? I decided I don't want to meet him outside." The group of girls looked at each other then the one in the middle crossed her arms and took a step forward. "What kind of letter and what kind of meeting do you plan on having with Cyrus?"

"Honestly I'm not sure, but my guess would be a teacher assigned him to show me around or he wants to threaten me to leave the school, that one's based on his intimidating smile more than logic."

The girls looked at each other "ha, that sounds like Cyrus." The shortest one laughed softly and extended her hand "I'll give him the letter". I passed her the letter and hurriedly shuffled backwards "I'll be going now, thank you so much. I'll pay you back next time"

I waved goodbye and slowly closed my door.

They seemed nice, maybe I will make some friends. I hummed happily to myself and relaxed on the bed with a book. I'm so glad I'm not outside talking to people right now.

Rays of sunshine lit up the room and a soft breeze drifted through the slightly open window. I stretched and yawned. Aa, I slept so well.

I put on my uniform and set out to find my classroom, after some minor difficulties I found my classroom. About 20 kids were in the room, and were chatting enthusiastically with each other. A little early for that isn't it kids?

I went up to the teacher, "excuse me, I'm Olivia Erem, the scholarship student. Is there a free seat."

"Aah, Ms.Erem the third seat in the second row is free". I nodded "thank you"

I looked around as I sat down and spotted a familiar face in the seat next to me. It was the short girl from yesterday. I smiled and waived at her. "Ah, I'm Olivia Erem thank you for helping me yesterday."

She smiled back at me "it was nothing, any excuse to talk with Cyrus is a welcome one. I'm Joselyn floura, the second daughter of marquis Floura. You're the scholarship student right?"

"Yes, I'm the commoner. Please tell me if I say something rude." So she knew I was a commoner, and she's still talking to me what a kind soul. Ah it's a beautiful world, full of love and joy and peace and never ending happiness...hmm I'm moody

My land of sunshine and rainbows was interrupted by the teacher, who started to teach the class. Expected ,but still disappointing .

"Class you may have heard that we are getting a scholarship student, Ms.Olivia Erem has joined our class. Please introduce yourself Ms.Erem" He gestured toward me.

I stood up "I'm Olivia, I was an orphan that the church adopted, then the school agreed to admit me because I can use magic. I spent the last year at the Brianson estate learning basic etiquette. If I make any mistakes please tell me." I sat back down.

The class stared at me, their expressions ranged from extreme pity to contempt. They whispered to each other and laughed. I wanna whisper and laugh with my friends, I'm so lonelyyyyyyyyyy.

The teacher was going through some basic spell theory, I wasn't really following. Eeeh I'll just fake it.

"Lady Tilian show us how to perform a low-level fire spell." The teacher singled-out a sleeping student.

"Ummmmm, tha-that's...well" she stuttered and then held out her hand. A magic circle appeared over her hand and she furrowed her eyebrows in concentration. A small flame burned over her hand and she yelped excitedly "look! I did it!!!"

The teacher smiled at her "yes, good job Lady Tilian" another student raised their hand. "Professor , could the scholarship student demonstrate her magic. I'm curious as to how amazing her magic is for The Royal Academy to admit her despite her... circumstances." She turned around and smiled at me.

It was the same girl who had been overly aggressive to me in hallway yesterday. Did I make a bad impression? Even so was there really a reason for her act like an obnoxious gutter rat?

The teacher looked at her nervously "that, *ahem* Ms.Erem could you please show the class?" What??? The teacher is going along with it? What is she the queen of the world?

"Excuse me sir, but I would rather not." The rat girl glared at me then glared at the teacher and made a threatening expression. He looked even more nervous "Ms. Erem, you have no reason to refuse"

Hmm, it doesn't seem like I can refuse.

Hmmm, this could be bad. But you have to give the people what they want. I stood up and activated my magic.
