3. I Want Him

Ally's POV

"You can't tell me what to do!" Vic shouted at me from his desk.

"All I said is that I want to get back to my brother!" I screeched back. "Is that so illegal!?"

"I'm doing the best I can, Allystar, but some of the old timers don't want to merge and I need their support before we can go back!"

"I know that, I was trying to make conversation! You've hardly said 100 words to me since we left 10 days ago and I'm so tired of being ignored!"

"I have responsibilities!"

"I know that! I'm not asking for you to pay attention to me and only me! I just want a little slice! I am your mate!"

Vic stood up abruptly from his chair and walked up to me. "You're a pretty bad mate! I'm allowed to have a life other than you!"

"How dare you call me a bad mate! I am trying to make this work and be supportive, but you're just shoving me away all the time!" Suddenly, I heard a loud crack and felt a sting on my cheek. My hand went up to the sting, and it felt warm to the touch. "Y-you..." I stuttered in shock. My lower lip began shaking slightly, but I forced my tears down. "I get it. I'll just... I'll go home," I murmured before turning around.

When I had just passed the doorframe, I heard Victor call, "Ally!" Instead of turning or even acknowledging that he had spoken, I just continued walking.

Once I was out of the house, I sprinted into the woods towards my home. Nothing could compare to the horrible ache in my heart. I know that he's under a lot of stress, but that was no excuse to ignore me and slap me. I was close to the pack house when the tears finally caught up with me, and I quickened my pace until people were having trouble avoiding me in the hallways. I slammed the door to Alex's office open and immediately ran into his form.

His arms wrapped tightly around me while I sobbed loudly into his chest. "Shhh..." he cooed into my hair as I continued hiccupping and gasping for air. My fingers were making balls out of his shirt, but I was still having trouble calming down from the heavy heartache I was feeling. Alex's gentle hands ran through my hair just like they had when we were down in that dark basement together, and I felt myself begin calming down a little bit.

"Tell me what's wrong," Alex murmured.

"I was trying to tell Vic that he needed to pay me more attention because he's hardly talked to me, but he yelled at me and hit me," I responded with a small sniffle. "I know that he has responsibilities, but he was ignoring me and making me feel bad."

"Ally, you don't deserve to feel like that whether or not he has other things going on. Being stressed can't reflect onto you! Do I need to go over there and give him a piece of my mind?" Alex asked seriously.

I thought about it for a moment before responding, "No... He needs to come to me, and not just because you went over there and scared the shit out of him. I'm just bummed out because I'm new at this whole relationship thing, and this wasn't the best way for it to turn out."

"I know, Ally."

Suddenly, the phone on Alex's desk started ringing. "Do you mind if I get this?" he asked me.

"That's fine," I responded.

He walked over to the phone and picked it up. "Yes? Hm... I'll ask him," he murmured into the phone before hitting the hold button. "Asshat soulmate is out front begging to get in. You want him or not."

"Not now," I replied. "He needs to suffer a little bit from his actions too."

Alex smacked the hold button once more and commanded, "Don't let him in. Tell him that if what he wants is a fight he can be persistent, but if he wants my brother back, he'd better get his act in line and leave him alone for a while."

Once he was done speaking, he slapped the phone back onto the receiver. "Is it bad that I want him to feel how I felt?" I asked. I kind of felt guilty for my words now.

"Ally what he did was not okay on any level. You're allowed to feel how you do. Just because he's your soulmate doesn't give him to right to walk all over you," Alex reassured.

There was a quiet knock on the door, and Alex turned to look at it. "Dear God," he murmured. I watched as he stalked towards the door, and I subconsciously felt my heart speed up in a lovey type way.

My brother pushed the door open slightly, and he was immediately knocked onto the floor by my extremely frantic soulmate. Alex immediately stood up and pushed him back slightly. "I thought I told you to leave!" Alex shouted.

"I had to see him! Let me see him!" Vic screamed back.

"No! Get out of my office right now or so help me God it will not end pretty," Alex snarled lowly.

"I'm sorry, Alpha," a guard exclaimed while panting. "I tried to stop him."

"Let me in, Alex. I just want to talk to him," Vic begged.

"Remember when I told you I would castrate you if you hurt him? That offer still stands if you don't get the hell out right now," Alex threatened coldly.

"Please? I know that I hurt him, Alex, but you have to believe me about how sorry I am!"

"I don't care. You will respect his space. If he doesn't want to see you then you wait until he is ready. I personally think that you're a huge asshole for ignoring him then hitting him when he yelled at you, but that's just me. Get out of my office."

"I won't!"

Suddenly, I heard Alex break into a low growl, and I saw Vic back up a little bit in fear. Alex took a few steps towards my now fearful mate before snapping, "Get. The Hell. Out. Of. My. Office!"

Vic stood up taller than he had before, and he shouted, "I will not leave until you give me my soulmate!"

I heard a loud tearing sound that was followed by a scream, and when I looked up, Vic had claw marks across his right eye. "I gave you a warning that you did not heed. I'll give you one more chance to get the hell out of here before it gets worse!"

"I will not leave until I see him," Vic resolved. Alex shifted into his huge wolf and crouched so that his snout was right in Vic's face. The alpha wolf snarled a low warning, and I heard someone else enter the situation.

"Alex baby you need to calm down a little bit," Ash soothed. I couldn't see him, but I knew that he was rubbing behind my brother's ears just the way his wolf liked it. "Victor I don't know what you did to piss him off, but I recommend that you clear out before you end up hurt more than you already are."

"I will not leave without my soulmate," Vic stated once more.

"Keep in mind that I am the only thing keeping Alex from killing you when I tell you to clear out of here," Ash commanded.

"I already stated my position," Vic replied.

I moved towards the door silently, and once I was leaning against the wooden door frame, I murmured, "Go away."

"Ally please," he begged.

"I told you to go away, Victor. You have no right to call me by my nickname. As much as I detest you at this one moment, I don't envy seeing my brother rip you to shreds."

"Please!"

Alex's wolf growled at my soulmate once more, and I heard him trod away quietly in a sulking manner. I slid down the wood and felt my tears start again before a particular snout nuzzled my arm. I smiled at my brother's wolf through the tears and rubbed his ears. I heard a quiet grumble from the sandy colored wolf, and everything felt kind of okay at this moment.

"Thank you Alex," I mumbled before resting my head onto his in silence.
