"Come on, Oli, you have to wear something normal!"
"How do you characterize normal?"
"I'll do it!"
I walked over to his closet, but everything was either too fancy or super revealing. "How about this?" Oliver held up a red shirt, but it wouldn't be nearly long enough, and there were no sleeves.
"Absolutely not; do you want the world to see your stomach?"
"Yes?"
"You're impossible!"
"Aww is someone jealous?"
"It isn't my fault that I don't want the whole world to see your hot... Sexy... Okay maybe I'm jealous, but–"
"It's alright, I was only playing with you on the shirt. It wouldn't even fit on my body. In all seriousness, how about this one?" Oli held up a blue t-shirt, and I nodded my head at the choice. My ears took on a red tint when he changed the shirt right in front of me, and his chuckle made me feel a little something down there. "Are you having problems, baby?"
"No!"
"Just wait until I need to change my pants."
"Ew!"
I ended up covering my face with my hands, but they were soon pried away. "Don't hide from me, Dev."
When my eyes trailed up his face, they stopped on his eyes. His red irises swirled constantly, and I knew I would get lost if I looked for too long. There were so many emotions that I had yet to unlock such as anger and fear, but I know they'll come along in time. At least my blush was going down finally.
"I already put on pants, so let's go."
"You're going to want to lose the crown, demon boy."
"Don't call me demon boy!"
"Don't call me puppy."
Oli reluctantly set his crown onto his bed before grabbing my by the arm, and I suddenly found myself on the surface of the Earth. "Where to first?"
"To be fair, I've never even left the town I was born in, so I have no clue. I don't even know where we are."
"This is the entrance. It's secret, but if you look closely enough, you'll find it."
"Oh."
"You should just show me around your town."
"I don't know... What if someone recognizes us?"
"We can just teleport?"
"Oliver, humans can't teleport. That would be even weirder."
"Just do it. I showed you where I grew up, so..."
"Fine, but if we get noticed, I'll flay you later."
"Kinky."
"Not like that!" The end of my words was caught in the wind when we transported again, and I found myself standing in front of Jerry's. Oh the awful memories! Luckily for me, it's now mid-day, so most of the people who would recognize me are in class. Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice, and I shoved Oliver into an alleyway.
"W-"
"Sh!" My hand was placed firmly on his mouth, and it effectively shut up when Jamie continued to talk.
"We need to find him, Linc. I don't know what's wrong with Jack, but he's really out of it. We couldn't even convince him to go to school today. I'm scared... It's reminding me of when we lost Maggie."
"I know, baby. I don't know what happened between those two, but they need to fix it. I just can't believe the Devon ran away again!"
Obviously Jack never told them about what happened last night... I guess he still wants to look like the saint. "Do you smell that?"
My eyes widened on their own accord, and I tried to tell Oli to get out of here. The only thing is that he wasn't paying attention to me, and I realized that he was staring at the sun with confusion. I even tried slapping his arm, but he was mesmerized by the flaming devil star. "I do... It smells like..."
"Mhm. That alley."
I pushed Oliver as hard as humanly possible, and he snapped out of his trance just before footsteps entered the dingy side street. "Devon Jackson Quinn get your ass over here right now! I can't believe you!"
"H-hey!" I stammered.
"Have you been hanging out on the streets with a random person for 3 days!?"
"No!"
"Then who the hell is that!?"
"He's my very... Very close friend."
"That you happened to meet in the last few days on the streets."
"Not... You know what sure."
"You're coming home, and you're going to leave the boy on the streets."
"No."
"What did you just say?"
"I said no! I'm not going to leave my boyfriend on the streets!" As soon as I realized what I had let slip, I slapped a hand over my mouth. Linc's left eye twitched slightly, and I backed slightly into Oliver from the fear. Fear of being rejected.
"You're telling me... You're telling me that you met a boy on the streets and started dating him 3 days later!? Are you stupid? What if he's a creep or something?"
"I have my reasons!"
Linc stormed towards me, and his hand wrapped around my wrist. "We're going home!"
"No we aren't!" His pull was intense, but my resistance was slightly stronger. "I don't want to go!"
"With all due respect, si–"
"Shut it!" I growled at Linc's treatment of Oli, and that only seemed to enrage the man more. When I was almost pulled from my position, Oliver's arms secured tightly around my waist. It felt like I was being pulled in half by the two strong males, but I only broke my silence when a crack resounded from my wrist. Oli instinctually let me go, but Linc dragged me along the ground still. When the demon came back for me, he was thrown back in a blast of water coming from Linc's right hand.
"Oliver!"
"You'll be fine!"
I was chucked into the back seat of Linc's SUV, and the child lock was put on the door. No matter how much I growled at him, he didn't stop the car until we reached the mansion in the woods. You know how people go on about not leaving your dog in the car? Don't leave your teenage werewolf in the car with the child lock on in August please and thank you.
After about 5 body slams to the door, the metal bent enough for me to hit the release button, and I tumbled onto the grass. Unfortunately, my parental units decided that moment to return, and I was tackled into the grass. "What's wrong with him, Alex?"
"You said that he was taken away from a boyfriend?"
"Yes."
My nails dug into Dad's arms while I struggled, and a little bit of blood came out of the moon shaped marks. "Well it's entirely possible that the boys share a soul, but very rare as he isn't 18 yet."
"How do they achieve that?"
"Sometimes if the wolf is older than its human, it will know who the soulmate is and accidentally link a bond which would mix the souls. He wouldn't know about it, but he physically needs that other person since the linking is still fragile."
"Why is that so rare?"
"Usually the wolf is born at the same time as the human, but if his soulmate is significantly older than him, that's when the wolf would have been born. It's very complicated."
"So he already has a bond with someone."
"I believe so. The other option is less favorable."
"The boy is hardly seventeen!"
"The moon goddess has a plan. For now, we should probably get him back to whoever you took him from before he shreds my husband to pieces."
