Liu Kai has been a fan of Martial Arts since he was young. This made him respect King Lee for being a Shifu at a young age with his exceptional strength. Even if he were to lose control in his Berserk state, he wasn't sure if he could beat or even match King Lee if he were to go serious.
'Maybe If I could use Breathing Techniques and Concentrated Breathing while in my controlled berserk state and utilize Probability all at the same time. But since Breathing Techniques won't function in Berserker State because I can't fully control myself, I won't stand a chance. Tsk! I need to make this power mine.' Liu Kai thought to himself, walking out of the stage.
He needed to train himself more and not rely on his skills, especially Berserk. He then remembered what he was supposed to ask King Lee about before he got distracted and annoyed by how King Lee talked.
'Master of Body'
The locked part of his Skillset, the second part after the Breathing Technique. The requirement to unlock it was to focus 100% at will, but he didn't know what it meant.
Liu Kai joined Jin Chow and Sergio Von Croy on the sideline while waiting for King Lee.
"Dude, that's awesome. How did you do that?" Jin Chow asked.
"It doesn't make sense to me how you did that, it looks time has skipped, and you countered already before everyone realized it," Sergio questioned his sudden bursts of speed that enabled him to defeat King Lee a few minutes ago.
"He put me down first in that match. If the rules are fair and he's not underestimating me, I don't know what could've happened." Liu Kai shrugged off the praises.
King Lee joined them, and he scanned Liu Kai again. 'It didn't look like he was concealing strength so there must be something different with him.' He deduced. He trusted his perception more than anything else and prided himself with it as a fighter.
"You're not bad." King Lee said after he bowed at Liu Kai, it is a tradition for them to show that they don't have any hard feelings on the outcome of the match.
"Shifu of this Dojo, I want to have a word with you in private." Liu Kai said seriously.
Noticing his serious tone, King Lee signaled for everyone to leave the training grounds.
After everyone left, King Lee offered his hand to Liu Kai.
"I recognize you as a fighter. That was an impressive display of hand to hand combat." King Lee announced.
Liu Kai shook his hands and said, "Thank you. You're not so bad yourself." They both bowed down to each other to show their respect.
"So, what is it you wanted to tell me?" King Lee asked.
"Actually, I'm trying to master my body, but I don't know where to start. Do you know something about how I can focus 100% of my consciousness at will?" Liu Kai explained.
"You want to learn 'Zone' is that correct?" King Lee made sure.
"What's 'Zone'?" Liu Kai asked, unfamiliar with the term King Lee used.
"It's the one you're referring to. The 'Zone' is the state when your brain is immersed a hundred percent on the task at hand, regardless if that's a fight, sport, or even a game. Anything that you set your mind to that needs a lot of focus." King Lee explained briefly. However, he seemed to be curious about Liu Kai as well. So he asked…
"I'm curious. Who taught you those techniques? It's not impossible to learn Breathing Techniques by yourself, but it's quite rare. Usually, one learns from the guidance of a Master."
"I read it somewhere." Liu Kai answered with a poker face. He was cautious not to let anything show on his face. He wasn't lying since he did read them from his skillset. But he didn't want anyone knowing about his skills. At least, not now.
"Incredible! You must have an unearthly comprehensive ability to execute something that you have only read." King Lee said as he was genuinely impressed with Liu Kai's talent.
"However, you might want to have a different approach to learning the 'Zone.' Although one can access this technique without knowing, activating it on command could be quite a challenge. It would take countless hours of training and practice, even with the teachings and guidance of a master."
"I can give you some advice, but learning how to access Zone at will is different for each individual, so it limits my help." King Lee explained.
"Can you teach me?" Liu Kai asked eagerly.
"Of course! I'm an exceptional practitioner after all." King Lee boasted.
"Can you teach me now?" Liu Kai was still affected by the adrenaline that rushed through his body from the fight.
"I like your personality. Being direct and your eagerness to learn, but just like what you have noticed, I'm not one to help without getting anything in return." King Lee slyly said.
"What do you need?" Liu Kai smirked as he asked.
"I heard from your colleagues that the Monarchy will make a move two months from now. This village is not ready to protect itself from the Monarchy if it shows hostility. I want you to help us build strength to defend this Village." King Lee told him.
"Aren't you a Knight of the Monarchy yourself? Why are you protecting the Dwarves then?" Liu Kai curiously asked.
"That is true. The reason is that the Dwarves helped me when I lost everything and everyone in this place. They sheltered me and accepted me in this village. Even other humans that they found that killed their own."
"I know how the Monarchy will respond if the Dwarves try to make peace with them. They will not accept it and will bare their fangs, and with the Dwarves still weak, they will all be slaughtered. It's not even their fault they got transported and stuck here in our world." King Lee said with overflowing emotion.
Liu Kai thought about it. 'King Lee has a valid point. Most people outside this village won't accept the Dwarves without knowing their stories just because they're a different species. Worse comes to worst, they will get eradicated by the humans. If not, the Giant Insects.
