Old Man from the Past

Liu Kai just stood at the end of the lane, reminiscent of the bustling city he grew up in.

He glanced at the sprawling untrimmed grass carpet on the side of the road, seeing the Welcome Road Sign saying, 'Welcome to Sheng Chan.'

He saw the granny in his head who used to trim the grasses all over the place.

"Brother Liu Kai, are you alright?" Jin Chow can't help but ask his nostalgic brother.

"Yeah, I'm alright," answered Liu Kai as he grabbed Jin Chow's face and squeezed it after calling him 'brother.'

"Aren't you used to it by now?" asked Jin Chow. He was supposed to ask why Liu Kai is squeezing his face, but he remembered why after seeing his annoyed reaction.

Liu Kai looked away, remembering how often he used that word before when he wanted to become a knight. But thinking about it now, he is not qualified and shouldn't behave like one after doing a lot of stuff against the Monarchy.
