"Okay, so," Nina repeated to herself. "My body can't stabalize in this universe as long as I keep traveling in time, but the TARDIS keeps pulling me through time in order to try and stabilize me?" She asked, her head tilted in confusion. They had walked back to the control room, and the Doctor was flipping some switches.

"Yep!" The Doctor yelled. He was holding a newspaper in his hand, while the other flew around pressing buttons and switching levers. Nina was pretty sure some of the switches he was messing with were completely useless, but decided not to comment upon it.

"You do see how that makes absolutely no sense, right?" She asked, approaching the console.

"Yep!" He frowned, turning the newspaper around, only now realizing that it was upside down. She couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of that.

"You are so different, you know that?" She asked, her voice soft. He turned around to face her, a big goofy grin on his face, nodding rapidly.

"Yep!" Nina laughed, as the TARDIS made the whooping sound it made when the Doctor drove it. Nina frowned. It wasnt supposed to make that sound. One day she would find out why it did, but now now.

"Wait, the first time I met you, you had no idea who I was," she reasoned with her own thoughts. "That means I will never go past that day."

"When was it, again?" He asked, one eyebrow in the air.

"2007," she said, only after realizing that it didn't ring any bells. "Crazy man trying to change humanity using a sonic manipulator capsule to rejuvenate himself?" She tried. The Doctor's eyes lit up as he remembered the adventure.

"Oh, yes!" He exclaimed. "Lazarus! You called him Mr. Young Old Man," he reminded her. Nina's cheeks went hot as she averted his gaze.

"Yeah, I did," she mumbled in agreement. "Anyway, where are we?" She asked, trying to change the subject.

"Ledworth," he told her, giving her the newspaper he was holding. It said 'Leadworth's Crop Circle', and the image showed the word 'doctor' written onto the corn field.

"Someone called you via corn field and you're just going to go?" She asked, confused.

"Yep!"

"Why?"

"Because I know who it was," he told her with a smile, stepping out of the TARDIS. Nina followed close, closing the door behind her. "Seriously?" He asked, holding the newspaper up for two people to see. They were getting out of a MINI, right in front of the TARDIS.

There was a man and a woman. He had light brown hair, and was wearing Jean's and a grey and dark red jacket. The woman was tall, as tall as him, and was wearing orange leggings underneath a Jean's skirt, along with a white tshirt and a Jean's jacket. What caught Nina's attention was mostly how bright orange her hair was.

"You never answer your phone," the man argued,  annoyed, closing the car door behind him. Nina couldn't help but smile at him.

"I like him," Nina said smugly to the Doctor. "A lot."

"I know," the Doctor told her, fake disgust upon his voice. "That's Rory, by the way. And that's Amy." The two of them frowned.

"She doesn't know us?" Amy asked. "Why doesn't she know us, Doctor?"

"First time meeting you," Nina explained. "When you first met me I probably knew you two already, right?" They nodded. "Well, it's the other way around now," she explained. "So, hi!" She waved her hand in the air. Amy walked to the Doctor, her smile fading from her face.

"OK, you've had all summer. Have you found her?" Amy asked. "Have you found Melody?" By the way Amy was extremely worried and protective of this Melody, Nina guessed she was her daughter.

The Doctor walked to the two of them, giving the newspaper to Rory.

"Permission?" He asked. Rory sighed, and took the paper in his hands, walking to Nina.

"Granted," Rory rolled his eyes, opening the newspaper and starting to read it. The Doctor hesitated, looking at Nina for a second, but then he shook his head and wrapped his arms around Amy's shoulders.

"What's wrong?" Nina asked Rory, who had his eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the picture of the corn field on the paper.

"What's this bit?" He asked out loud, catching the Doctor and Amy's attention. They rounded up around him and the newspaper as Rory pointed to the straight line cutting the word 'doctor' in two.

"That wasn't us," Amy stated. The Doctor and Nina shared a look, and then he snatched the paper away from Rory's hands, leaving him deadpanned. Nina smiled at the reaction.

She then walked behind the Doctor, who was trying to discover where the line would come from. Nina placed her hands on his shoulders and turned him towards the right way. The Doctor slowly put down the newspaper as they heard a car engine from a distance, and it was getting louder by the second.

As soon as he lowered it, they saw a red Corvette coming full speed at them. They all screamed in fear and dove out of the way, landing on the ground. The car stopped inches away from the TARDIS.

Amy and Rory stood up as a young woman stepped out of the car. The Doctor was still lying on the ground at her feet.

"You said he was funny, you never said he was hot," the girl said cheekily as the Doctor helped Nina stand up. Nina raised her eyebrows at the comment she made.

"Mels!" Rory exclaimed when he got a look at the girl.

"What are you doing here?" Amy asked her. Nina frowned in confusion as she patted her pants to clean them of the dirt.

"Following you, what do you think?" The girl -- Mels, said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Uh... where did you get the car?" Rory asked her hesitantly. It was almost like he already knew the answer.

"It's mine," she said. "...ish," she added as police sirens could be heard from a distance. She smiled widely at the couple, shrugging.

"Oh, Mels... not again," Amy sighed.

"Again?" Nina asked, very, very confused.

"You can't keep doing this. You'll end up in prison," Rory told her.

"Sorry!" The Doctor interrupted. "Hello," he said to Mels with a wave of his hand, then turning back to Amy and Rory. "Doctor not following, Doctor very lost. You never said I was hot?" He frowned at Amy. Nina's eyes widened as she blushed, slapping him gently on the arm. Mels wasn't paying much attention to them anymore as she watched the TARDIS with wide eyes. She pointed childishly at the box.

"Is that the phone box! The bigger-on-the-inside phone box?" She caressed the side of the box with one hand. "Time travel - that's just brilliant." The Doctor leaned against the TARDIS, watching the girl. "I've heard lots about you, I'm their best mate," she gestured Amy and Rory with a nod of her head.

"Then why don't I know you? I danced with everyone at the wedding. The women were all brilliant, the men were a bit shy," he explained. Mels shook her head.

"I don't do weddings," Mels told him, walking a bit further from Nina and the Doctor. In the distance, the police sirens grew louder and louder. "And that's me, out of time." She turned around and pulled a gun, aiming for Nina's head. The Doctor waited no time and immediately stepped in front of her, pushing her behind him with an arm. Nina grabbed his hand.

"Mels, what are you doing?" Amy yelled.

"Oh, for god's sake!" Rory yelled out in desperation , running a hand through his hair.

"I need out of here," Mels told the Doctor as the noise of helicopters flying above then could be heard. "Now!"

"Anywhere in particular?" The Doctor asked, glancing over at the TARDIS.

"Yes. You've got a time-machine, I've got a gun. What the hell, let's kill Hitler."
