Melody regenerated into an older woman. As she did, the Doctor ran to the sofa, where Hitler's gun was, and unloaded it, before running back to his spot in front of the desk before Melody was done. Nina didn't recognize her, but her three other friends obviously did. She had extremely curly blonde hair, and kept panting for a moment before regaining her breath.

"Right, let's see, then. Ooh, it's all going on down there, isn't it? The hair!" She exclaimed, running to a mirror after patting her whole body. "Oh! The hair, it just doesn't stop, does it? Look at that! Everything changes! Oh, but I love it, I love it!" She turned to the others, placing her foot on the sofa next to her. Nina noticed how she had subtly taken the gun that Rory had placed there, and by the looks of it, only her and the Doctor had realized.

The Doctor hid his eyes behind his hands as Melody tried her best to look seductive. "I'm all sort of... mature. Hello Benjamin."

"Who's Benjamin?" The Doctod asked, still holding his hands to his eyes.

"The teeth!" She yelled, running back to the mirror. "The teeth, the teeth!"

As Nina saw her approaching them, she immediately reached behind her back and unloaded the gun the Doctor had placed in the fruit bowl on Hitler's desk. The Doctor understood what she was doing and went even further, turning the bowl around so that instead of the gun, a banana would be in reach.

Everyone probably thought the woman was walking to the Doctor, at least Nina did, and she was obviously surprised when the woman forced herself onto her, and Nina barely leaned back as the woman ran one hand through her hair. Her other hand reached behind Nina, probably with the intention to take the gun the Doctor had placed there, but no one realized, and Nina decided not to do anything about it, since it was unloaded and she was probably grabbing the banana instead. She then ran her hand down Nina's arm, stopping by her golden bracelet.

"Pretty," Melody said. "I like it." She then took a step back, smirking at how uncomfortable Nina was at the moment. "Excuse me, I have to weight myself," she informed as she walked out of the room, leaving the four of them in shock as they all sat against the desk next to Nina, no one darling to say a word.

"Can someone tell me what just happened?" Nina asked, her voice slightly high-pitched. She hadn't dared to move yet.

"Erm, that's their daughter," the Doctor tried to explain to her, also not having moved form his spot next to her. "And she just tried to kiss you," he added, a frown on his face. Was he... jealous? A thought came to Nina's head. This was the perfect time to test the water. Did they ever... get together, in the future?

"No need to be jealous, sweetie," she smirked at him. That comment made him slightly blush, as he brought his hand to hers to hold it. He looked down at her hand, seeing her golden bracelet, and frowned. Nina didn't understand. What was wrong with her bracelet? Why was everyone noticing it?

"That's Melody," Amy stated, almost trying to convince herself.

"That's River Song," Rory told her. Nina was absolutely lost. She didn't know who River Song was, she didn't know why Melody, the daughter of Amy and Rory, two perfectly normal humans, had just regenerated in front of them.

"Who's River Song?" Melody said, popping back from the room next door. They all turned to look at her.

"Spoilers," the Doctor said hesitantly. Nina looked at him, realizing he knew who River Song was.

"Spoilers? What spoilers?" She touched her waist. "Hang on, theres something I have to check," she told them, before running back to the other room.

"I am so confused," Nina mumbled, grabbing her head in her hands. The pounding in her head had come back, and so had the pain. The Doctor turned to her, a worried look on his face, but Nina shook her head, silently telling him it was unimportant, it could wait. He didn't seem so sure about it, but gave in as soon as Rory spoke.

"Is anybody else finding this day a little bit difficult?" He asked out loud. "I'm getting this sort of banging in my head."

"Yeah, I think that's Hitler in the cupboard," Amy told him.

"That's not helping." The Doctor suddenly stood up, taking Nina's hand again. For some reason, Rory and Amy followed them as they walked to the other side of the room, where Mr. Not Human was laying on the ground, 'fainted'.

"This isn't the River Song we know," he reasoned out loud.

"I don't even know her," Nina reminded him.

"You will, dear," he assured her with a smile that soon was washed away. "But this is her at the very beginning. Doesn't even know her name."

As he said that, there was some sort of yell from the other room, and they all turned around as Melody Pond -- River Song, appeared again and leaned against the doorway.

"Oh, that's magnificent!" She yelled out in excitement. "I'm gonna wear lots of jumpers!"

Nina suddenly dropped to the ground, grabbing her head in her hands. Her knees hit the hard floor with a thud.

"Nina!" The Doctor called out to her. He crouched in front of her, taking her head in his hands. The last thing Nina saw before closing her eyes was the Doctor's worried face before her, his mouth moving, but no sound reaching her ears.

The Doctor was laying on the top of a set of stairs. He was on the ground, and looked weak. He looked like he was dying. Nina saw herself laying on te ground not too far away, next to the TARDIS. She looked unconscious. Amy and Rory were crouched down beside him, on the steps of the stairs.

"You can't die now," Amy told him, holding his hand in hers. For some reason, she didn't seem sad, even if she had insinuated that the Doctor was dying. "I know you dont die now," she precised. Nina frowned. Had she seen the Doctor die? Did she know about his death? Did she know where or when it was going to happen, had she seen it?

"Oh, Pond," the Doctor rolled his eyes. "You've got a schedule for everything."

"That's doesn't -- that doesn't make any sense," Amy told him.

"Doctor, what do we do?" Rory asked him. "Come on, how do we help you?" Nina smiled internally. She really did like Rory.

"I'm sorry, Rory. You can't," the Doctor told him. "Nobody can."

Nina came back to reality with a gasp. She felt herself shake and tremble as strong arms held her tight. The Doctor was now kneeling on the ground in front of her, and he had pulled her into his embrace. Rory was standing behind him, and saw when she opened her eyes.

"Nina, are you alright?" He asked her. The Doctor pulled back from the hug to see her face. He held her face in his hands. Nina looked at the Doctor. He seemed so well. In her vision, the Doctor was weak and dying. Why wasn't he regenerating? What was about to happen? Nina wasnt sure, but it scared the living hell out if her.

"Doctor, what happened?" Amy asked him.

"I don't understand," she mumbled to herself. The Doctor picked it up and frowned.

"What did you see?" He asked her. Nina frowned and shook her head. She couldn't possibly tell him. She knew she couldn't. It could create tears in time itself, or even paradoxes. She couldn't let him know his own future. The Doctor understood that she wasn't going to tell him, so he just sighed and stood up, pulling her up with him. "Are you alright? All better?" He asked. Nina nodded.

"Doctor?" Amy asked again, waiting doe an explanation.

"You told me it would get better," Nina frowned. "Why isn't it getting better?"

"It does get better, I promise," he told her. "I swear it does. But it gets much worse before it can get better. And it takes time. You told me it took about 24h until it went away, how long has it been?"

"Eighteen hours and thirty-five minutes," Nina told him. She didn't even know how she knew that, it just came to her head. The Doctor smiled at her.

"It's almost over, you'll get through this," he promised.

"I still don't get it," Amy chimed in again. The Doctor looked over at her, still holding Nina's hand.

"I'll explain later," he promised. He was about to add something else when River spoke again.

"Well, now, enough of all that!" She said out loud, pulling Hitler's gun on them. The fact that the Doctor didn't pull Nina behing his body was the confirmation Nina needed to knwo that he indeed had unloaded the gun while Melody was regenerating. Nina sighed and rolled her eyes. She hated guns.

"Oh, hello," the Doctor said. "I thought we were getting married."

"We both know you're taken, dear," she smirked, looking over at Nina. "And I told you, I'm not a wedding person," she reminded him as she walked towards the four of them.

"What is she doing?" Amy asked. Nina rolled her eyes again. She was getting annoyed by Amy, asking questions all the time. Maybe that's why she liked Rory better.

"What she's programmed to do," the Doctor answered. Nina frowned. She had her fair share with rewriting people, brainwashing and receiving orders you couldn't refuse to obey, and she didn't wish that upon anyone. The Doctor sensed how uneasy she was beside him, giving her hand a soft squeeze to comfort her.

"Where did she get the gun?" Rory asked. Now that's a good question. Nina smiled. She really did  like Rory.

"Hello, Benjamin," Nina said, imitating Melody's previous tone of the phrase.

"You noticed!" She said, a smile on her face. She went on to pull the trigger a few times, making Amy and Rory flinch back in fear, only then realizing that it was empty.

"Of course, I did," Nina smirked at her. Melody pulled the trigger once more, pulling the gun closer to her face to examine it, an annoyed look upon her face.

"As soon as I knew you were coming, I tidied up a bit," the Doctor explained, walking towards her.

"I know," she said, reaching inside of her vest and pulling out the banana that as previously inside of Hitler's fruit bowl. Amy and Rory flinched back a bit more, believing it to be a gun.

"I know you know," the Doctor agreed. River sighed, exasperated.

"Goodness, is killing you two going to take all day?" Nina frowned. Why the hell was Rory and Amy's child trying to kill her and the Doctor?

"Why?" Nina asked her, taking the banana form her hand. "Are you busy?"

"Oh, I'm not complaining," she said with a wink. Was she flirting with her? She was, wasn't she? That was flirting. Melody turned around and grabbed the letter opener from Hitler's desk, pointing it at them. The Doctor immediately pulled out his screwdriver and pointed at it, making her drop it. Nina noticed how the screwdriver was bigger now, and the light wasn't blue anymore, it was green. She didn't even know why it had the light anyways. It was a sonic screwdriver. The important thing was the sound it made, not the light at its end.

"If you were in a hurry, you could have killed us in the cornfield," the Doctor pointed out, flipping his screwdriver in his hands before placing it back into his inner pocket.

"We'd only just met," she argued. "I'm a psychopath. I'm not rude."

She turned around and grabbed the gun from the fruit bowl, not knowing it was unloaded. She fired towards them, making Amy and Rory flinch once more, before Nina held out the clip and blew on it, as if it were a gun that had just been fired.
