I opened the door and closed it.
I was barely holding myself together.
I ran up the stairs and slammed my bedroom door.
I flopped onto the bed.
I felt the need to cry and I knew that once I started, I was not going to stop.
I grabbed my pillow and screamed into it.
Then there was a knock on the door.
"Come in", I groaned.
Anika walked in.
She walked over to the side of the bed that I was on.
She hugged me.
I could not hold my emotions back any longer.
She held me like I had, once done to her when she was upset.
She let go of me and then sat on the end of the bed.
" Tell me what happened", She said softly.
I explained briskly what had happened.
When I looked over at her she was fuming with Anger.
" HE SHOULD HAVE ASKED YOU FIRST!!!!", She yelled.
I looked down at the bedding , avoiding her gaze.
I scrubbed my tears away, but they just kept on getting replaced by others.
Then I heard Anika take a few deep breaths to calm herself down.
She hugged me again.
" It's okay, I know how to fix this", she said.
" How?", I asked.
" By having a girls day tomorrow!", She exclaimed.
I smiled, Anika really did make things better.
And I was glad I had a friend like her.
That I could trust whole heartedly.
