"Thanks, " Sakura muttered as she let go of one of the thugs' shirts. Toward the end of her questioning, he proceeded to foam up in his mouth.
Just as she was 'pinged,' she was assured with the fact that she was from another world. Looking back on the premonition of her death, she finally realized the oddity of it. Sakura had naturally assumed that she would die after being stabbed in the chest but that was were it ended, where her eyelids closed. Never in a hundred years would she believe that it was the start of something other than death. It was just astronomically unbelievable.
"Quirks... Does that make this power one too?"
The concept of her power being a quirk seemed somewhat plausible. Maybe the phenomenon that had started in the world she now resided in had started on a lower level in her old one. Her drawback was being unable to change the fate that she saw. If she hadn't had the powers of chakra, there was no doubt that she would be useless in the new world also, no, Japan.
The two people who she had beat up had those 'quirks' as they called it. One had the ability to elongate his nails and the other had the ability to change into a body of a lion. It was quite obvious by those peculiar abilities that quirks were indeed common.
Avoiding any conflict, she healed any injuries that the two may have had. The last thing she wanted was for people to be after her for this. There was no such thing as two separate quirks that have nothing in common to exist in one person. The only thing that would seem like it would be having an equal balance of both in one.
As far as they knew, she had a strength quirk, no more no less. Whoever was their boss would more than likely doubt their story if they came back with no injuries at all.
Putting chakra into her feet, she jumped up to the top of a building to get a better view of where she was. The buildings were much more taller compared to Konoha and even more advanced. Fitting in would definitely be hard, but she wasn't a kunoichi for nothing.
Smiling, she thumbed through the two wallets that she stole from the thugs. She had no idea whether or not what they had was a lot, but it didn't hurt to try. She needed to get out of her ripped clothes as soon as possible anyways.
Using the transformation jutsu, her clothes appeared perfect and clean as they usually. No rips of blood was in sight. Walking down the side of the building, she hopped down, hoping to find a clothing store nearby. With Ino around, she knew exactly what was 'in style,' but it seemed as though it wasn't.
Looking through the windows of the shops that aligned the streets, she found mannequins wearing completely 'normal' clothing. Sakura tried not to get frightened by the metal boxes that were used for transportation as they sped by her. If anyone had dared to walk in front of them, she had no doubt that they'd be killed. That was, if they were one of the 20%.
The store manager quickly smiled and exclaimed, "Welcome!"
Gulping, she had to lie quick and make an excuse about her unusual clothing. "W-well, I came from the mountains and this is the first time I've been to the city-"
"Don't worry about, " she laughed and waved her hand in the air, "I know exactly what you'd look good in."
Without a second to waste, the woman grabbed some clothes on the racks and promptly shoved her into the fitting room. Sighing, Sakura changed into one of the shirts and shorts that was laid out for her. Opening the door a crack, she saw the manager looking giddily at the door. There was no escaping her.
Reluctantly, she walked out, scratching her head as she did so. "I think... It looks good on me?"
With stars in her eyes, the woman asked, "Are you a model? With your exotic features you have to be, right?"
"I'm not-"
"Hah, with that teenage angst look, you'd be perfect a cover of a magazine!"
Sweatdropping, Sakura decided that she was just going to buy the small pile the woman had given her and just get out.
"If only your hair was styled differently! Your forehead-"
A tick mark grew on her face at the touchy subject, "Yes, yes. I get it. I'll just take what you got me and get out."
After buying the clothes, she sighed and stared at the money that was left. "I got my shopping fever again. I'm starving and I don't have a place to stay and all I got were clothes."
Exiting the shop, she watched as some of the shops' light turned off. "Just how late is the time? Maybe I can crash in a tree or something."
The fact of the matter was that she couldn't find the forest. Sakura was literally in the heart of the city. The bustling city that was quieting down to where the questionable figures really start to lurk.
"Is killing legal here? I should've asked that question when I was speaking to those two idiots... I'll just assume that it's not for now."
She wandered around for another hour, walking aimlessly to find some place to crash. As she did so, she also noted the things around her, trying to get used to them.
"What are you doing here? You're well passed curfew."
Sakura turned around to find a man wearing strange beige clothes and a weird hat. "Curfew? I didn't know that there was one."
In Konohagakure, there was no such thing except a time in which your parents asked you to be home by. Otherwise, kids roamed free without any supervision.
"You're not from around here, are you?"
She shook her head, "No. Back where I am from, we don't have such rules."
"Let's just take her in for questioning. We'll just call her parents to pick her up. She's more than likely a stowaway, " another voice muttered.
The other person was indeed, someone with a cat head. Never before had Sakura wanted to scream back. It wasn't normal. Well, normal here, but not normal to her. "Y-y-your head..."
"Yes, a cat, " he replied distastefully, "Get in the back of the car and we'll have a chat once we reach the Police Headquarters."
