Chapter 6

Trence's POV

'What?'

"W-Why?"

She ignored me and left me.

Well, not actually. The crazy girl went inside the house next to me!

"Taileen! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I yelled, even though she was already inside the house.

I heard a loud "ARGH!" and saw Taileen go out of the house.

"What?!"

"Don't 'what' me! You're committing a crime, for Pete's sake!!"

"And what crime, do tell?"

"Trespassing, duh!! That's my neighbor's house, idiot!"

I noticed her breathing in and out. "Well, sorry to say, dumbass, but this is MY house!!"

"What...?"

She rolled her eyes and pulled me by my arm.

She stopped in front of "her house" and pointed a sign.

[ANDERSON]

'A---Anderson?'

"You're my neighbor?!"

"No! I'm a magical rainbow swan that plans to teach Math on Zumba classes! Duh!!" She said sarcastically.

I was shocked and appalled that Taileen Anderson, a girl I've formally met a week ago, is my neighbor for who knows how long ago.

"When did you move here?"

"When I was 14." She grumbled. "Is that all, Mr. Prince Trence?" She asked with a sarcastic tone.

"I still have like one thousand questions to ask but here's one thing I need to ask for now," I said seriously.

"What?"

"What's your email address?"

She looked shocked and suddenly blushed. "W --- What? Why so sudden?!"

"Well, first off, we've been classmates for a week now. It's weird that we still don't have each other's email addresses. Second, well, I just felt like it."

She blushed crimson.

"W---Well, fine! Just don't think that I want to give my email address to you or I like you or whatever, okay? I'm just bored and you bug me..." Her voice was gradually getting more silent, which I found amusing.

"Okay, Ms. Tsundere!" I teased.

"Could you NOT call me that, you walking dictionary definition of cringe?" Taileen said, still blushing, and rolled her eyes.

We both exchanged phones and typed our emails in it. I sent her a "Hi Tsuny~" as a joke and she rolled her eyes.

"That's it, right?" She asked

"Mm-hmm. Good night, Tsuny." I teased.

"Ugh! Whatever, 'night, NCS." She blushed but managed to cross her arms and look away from me.

"What's your email address?"

I got shocked. Mostly because of how smoothly he said it, but also because of how sudden he brought it up.

"What? Why so sudden?!"

My heart was beating so fast, so, so fast. 'Why am I reacting like this?! What the heck, NCS?!'

"Well, first off, we've been classmates for a week now. It's weird that we still don't have each other's email addresses. Second, well, I just felt like it."

'Is that it? I'm not being tricked or anything, right? He's just being friendly...'

"W---Well, fine! Just don't think that I want to give my email address to you or I like you or whatever, okay? I'm just bored and you bug me.."

Why the hell is my voice gradually getting lower?!

I ignored it. 'Let's not think about that.'

"Okay, Ms. Tsundere!"

Ms. Tsundere? What does that even mean? Stupid NCS.

I rolled my eyes.

Since when have I started acting like this? Since when have I been a stupid little blusher?

Since when?

Stupid Taileen.

We exchanged cellphones and typed our email addresses on it.

The stupid NCS sent me a "Hi Tsuny~" and I gave him a "seriously?" face and rolled my eyes.

"That's it, right?"

He nodded with a cheeky smile on his face.

"Mm-hmm. Good night, Tsuny." He teased.

I rolled my eyes. "Ugh! Whatever. 'Night, NCS."

Why am I acting so stupidly?

Why am I acting like I like NCS?

Hell. I'm crazy.

What's to like in NCS? Well, to be honest, he is quite a looker (who am I kidding? He's beautiful as heck), but other than that, he's all the negative. He's dumb, he's useless, he's annoying, he's funny, he's weird, he's fun to be with, he's cute, he's---

WAIT, NO. I mean, he's just Trence. A Trence. And the fact that he's annoying and...

the fact that he told me he hated me was enough.

'Enough to break something very delicate. To break something that pounded for the first time.'

'...Or, that's what dumb textbooks say about how I feel...'

I was inside my apartment, Googling whatever weird thing I felt. I even Googled in what 'sun dere' meant and found a cute song. "NCS is into...these, huh."

As I scrolled through some interesting comics and shows, I found myself smiling over the things that I did with him, the little dumbass.

I was happy, sure. NOT because I'm friends with Trence, but just...I was happy...

"Hanging out is super fun..." I muttered.

Trence's POV

~

Once I saw her go inside her house, I went inside my own to meet

absolute loneliness.

I sighed and slumped down my couch.

Nobody's in the house with me now because they're working 24/7. But no, they're alive and in the country.

*Checks*

My dad's a doctor and my mum work is unknown, but she swore that it's legal and safe, she's just shy to tell. But here's a hint: with this job, Dad doesn't need to work to keep us living well. And that it contains guns.

*checks*

I took a quick bath and once I wore comfortable clothes, I then slumped down my bed.

*checks*

The question is, why am I happy?

And at the same time,

*Checks*

why am I sad?

*checks*

Heck.

'Why isn't Taileen emailing yet?'

Ugh, dammit!

'Is she not thinking of me?'

I tried not to punch myself. "Dumbass, why should she?"

Maybe she hates me because I'm dumb and useless. Not my fault that I hated studying. Why? Well, mostly because my future's already settled and I don't like it.

I wanted to be a freelancer or maybe even an Architect (not a word about my art skills), but my dad told me I was going to be the heir of the family business of doctors.

Doctors? How clichéd can Dad get?

Anyway,

*checks*

Ugh.

Taileen's POV

I switched the TV to another channel.

Boring.

I threw the bowl of rice I was eating to nowhere...and casually checked my cell phone.

(No new Mail. All Caught Up!)

'Hmph. By all, you meant Trence's contact and Rin's contact.'

"Should I mail him?"

'No, idiot.' I thought. 'You'll look like you want to. I mean, you don't, right, Tay?'

'Right, Tay?'

> Email sent! <
