PIROUETTE, PART 1

10 years and several months before Evadere's death. The first Monday of the month. 6:50am, on her first day of school.

Evadere was looking forward to her first day of school at the Sterno Elementary School. This school is known as one of the most top-notch and most prestigious schools in the country. Wearing her uniform with the colors of maroon and gold, with a ponytail on her beige hair, she radiated an energy as she presented her happiness from her smiles. It was her first time walking the hallways by herself. Luckily, she was able to go to her assigned classroom. However, she noticed something.

"Huh? Why is no one inside? Speaking of which, why haven't I seen anyone from the hallways?"

She saw a note from the bulletin board inside the room. It was a schedule for the events in this first day. She read the announcement and just had the idea that the school orientation at the hallways will start at 8:30 am.

"Oh, so I'm an hour early. Hahaha. Silly me. Time to find my temporary seat for a bit."

The classroom had 5 rows and 8 columns of armchairs, therefore a total of 40 armchairs. In the proctor's perspective, she sat on the chair on the seventh column on the second row.

30 minutes after, someone arrived. This person had a short, pastel pink hair, wearing the same uniform. This person also had a pink jacket with rainbows and unicorns imprinted. The person sat at the back of Evadere. With a nervous voice, she tried to achieve friendship.

"Uhm, h-hello. I'm Evade–uhh... Evadere Esurio. You can c-call me Eva for short. N-nice to meet you."

Evadere slightly bowed in front of her.

The person responded confidently.

"Eva, right? Nice to meet you. I'm Mau. Mau Lana. I see you're early too, hahaha."

"Good day to you too I g-guess, Mau...." Evadere still had the nervousness in her.

"Oh, there's no need to be nervous. I'm friendly!"

"I see. Anyway, nice to see you, Mau."

"Nice to see you too, Eva."

They both shook hands.

To spend some time, they talked about their interests, played some games, showed off their new school materials, and more. As they spend their time, their friendship bond started to grow.

Fourth day of school, 10:20 am. Physical Education Class.

During their P.E. time, they usually play child games and do some exercises. Mau, on her excitement, twirled around the playing field. Evadere's attention was caught.

"Wow, Mau! You can twirl?"

"Yes! I'm practing ballet and it's super duper fun! I feel like I'm at peace everytime I twirl around."

"Amazing! I wish I can do ballet too. Coming from you U feel like being a ballerina sounds fantastic."

"It is! Want to teach you starting now?"

"Yes please! But.... what do I do in return?"

"No! Don't worry, I don't need something in return. Being with you is super awesome."

"Awww, how sweet of you. Hahaha!"

"Anyways, Eva, let's get started, shall we?"

"Yes, Madame Mau!"

"Hey! Don't call me that!"

And so, they started to do ballet during P.E. time. Both of them had a fun time, twirling at flexing their legs as they feel the grace of a white swan.

2nd Friday of the month. A few minutes before dissmissal.

Vis Esurio and Hauoli Hana, the parents of Evadere and Mau, respectfully, were best friends during their high-school, but they never expected that they would see each other outside the elementary school.

"Hauoli? Is that you?"

"Vis?"

"Oh my goodness it really is you!"

"I miss you so much!"

They hugged.

"I never expected our children studying in the same school, Hauoli."

"I know. By the way, how's your life? How's your life as a neuroscientist?"

"Things are going fine and well. How about your business life, Hauoli."

"Luckily our sales aren't crashing."

"That's good to hear. Anyways, I hope our children will be shocked when they found out we were close."

"Hahaha! I bet they will."

"Want to go on a treat after? I'll pay."

"Sure! Let's do this every 2nd Friday of every month, and we pay alternately. Sounds good?"

"Sounds good."

They finished browsing the picture book. There's nothing left. Both of them felt that cliffhanger vibe at the last page.

"Really? That's just it?" Fugo was slightly furious.

"Come to think of it, I guess we get more of these stories everytime we progress in this kingdom." Salus thought loudly.

"Now that I think of it too, I guess it makes perfect sense. Let's continue on our journey." Ancora said.

"Let's go!" Salus responded.

"I'll bring the picture book on the way. It'll be in good hands." Fugo mentioned.

The three of them, with a picture book, continued their journey on this wild kingdom.
