Chapter:25- Welcome to Bangkok

(Mint POV)

"Finally we are here."

at Bangkok.

Bangkok is considered as The land of smiles and the city of angels Bangkok.

Bangkok the city of angels. In addition to being the capital of Thailand, Bangkok is the largest and most populous city in the country. It has about 10 million inhabitants and is known among Thais as Krung Thep which means "city of angels". Bangkok was built in 1767, after the fall of the former capital Ayutthaya.

Krung Thep (City of Angels) which is a shortened version of the official Thai name of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon. However, even this is an abbreviation of the full ceremonial name which lays claim to being the longest place name in the world. The full ceremonial name is:

Krung Thep Maha Nakorn Arun Rattanakosin Mahinthara Ayutthaya Mahidol Pop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchawiwet Makhasathan Amon Phiman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit.

Because the ceremonial name is a mixture of the ancient Pali and Sanskrit languages there are differing translations for the meaning and there are also different ways of writing the name in English. A general translation of the name is:

The great city of angels, it's where the immortal divinity dwells, the invincible city, the royal capital endowed with nine precious jewels and full of joy, it is abundant with enormous royal palaces, it's where the reincarnated angels reside, at the order of Inrda, Vishvakarma majestically built the capital.

such a great meaning besides the name. I'm such a proud Thai man when it comes to our culture and tradition. we should conserve our ancient heritage especially our architecture and stories behind them.

"big brother Mint!!!"

I turned my head around this soft and pleasant voice of the girl sitting beside of Martin. I nodded once my head as yes in order to ask her purpose for calling me. but I thought that will be rude so I spoke with a slightly gentle smile on my face.

"Yes. did you need something?"

as soon as I notice she was looking at my hand with her doubt eyes and weird smile. I quickly remove my hands away form the spot it was placed at. and acts like there was nothing happened before while coughing the awkwardness away.

"We need to get in the car. but before that can I ask you for a favour?"

"yes say it."

I was curious to know about his request. but wasn't surprised at all as it was already predicted. when the request came out of his mouth. I definitely prais myself for the prediction.

"could you hold my hand for the entire journey?"

Martin was asking to to hold his hand for the entire journey. I was happy to do so without any problem. instead I want Martin to lean his head on my shoulder and enjoy the scenario outside of the van's window like some normal couples do. it would be great and romantic ag the some time. so without any hesitation I said.

"ya sure why not."

[flashback ends...]

I completely forget there were an unfamiliar face within us. Han knows about me having crush on Martin but I forget to tell him I and Martin were dating.

"I was wondering. what kind of friends hold each other hand while leaning on each other like that?"

her facial expression was making me more nervous and I feel shy so I was not abe to answer her question. instead I was looking side by side to any how avoid her question. but I think that dosen't count as I didn't want to answer response.

"what are you two exactly?"

As soon as she said those words Han who was driving. looked into the review mirror directly to the girl(Pham.) with surprised but shocked expression. I thought, now I have no choice by to tell the truth. but wait!!!

"Pham... what is this. are you try to tease Mint within your first encounter?"

Martin did in a joking way while having a smile on his face.

"Oh! come on Big brother Martin

I wasn't meant to tease him I was asking in out of curiosity. I didn't have any hidden agenda."

"Oh! really?"

Martin gasp and said.

"Aren't I told you about your big brother Mint and Martin."

"Ehh! I was just...

forget that...

you spoil everything...

I just want to ask my Brother in law few question out of curiosity."

"Pham!!!"

"Ok I'll shut my mouth."

she nagged at Martin and fold her hands giving a pissed off expression to Martin and looked the other side to avoid contacting with Martin for a while.

we finally are at the resort we were staying at. it's a big beach resort near the ocean. the build of the resort is pretty high, I guess it can have a capacity of storing at least a minimum of 500 people at a time. rooms were well rated and services were well as well. last time I was I the in Bangkok I referred this hotel to stay. it has a better view of the ocean, either you can enjoy the view from your room or go and explore at the beach and have fun.

ocean scenery is quite pretty and the breeze is pretty chill and blowing all day. moreover, there are plenty kinds of bar having variety of themes down the side of the beach one can enjoy whatever they want to have a taste and have their preferences.

"should we have to go, in? I mean it's not necessary right?"

"🙄"

"why do. you have kind of expression."

"I mean we should at least take our stuff inside of the room. get fresh and meet me here down after 1 hour. then we can go out."

"that's sounds great. let's do it."

I asked everyone to come down after they take rest for an hour or so. we were going to the amusement Park as planned. so I asked everyone to down with some shirt beach cloths to hand out.
