Chapter:41- Sky Within My Reach.

[Past]

After losing Frank Sammy was depressed and lost and she has no hope to live, without him the whole world was empty. she has nothing to do she doesn't have any purpose to live, this suffering was enough to make her think of ending her life. despite all this pain, she was calling to God

"why does this happen?

why I have to suffer?

what's gone wrong that he has to leave this world so early?

why did he have to die?

why my love has gone?

why?"

no more seeing his sight is so much painful, unacceptable and unimaginable. this pain was intense and eating her from inside. it was enough for her to end all it here. so she wakes up and finds something less painful material to finish it all. when she found the material. she came back to her hall and she holds that knife strongly and without any delay, she slashes it on her left hand. full of tears in her eyes but only a single drop falls out. she was fading her vision. fading her hearing and fading her sense of touch up to that level that she can't even hear the screams that were coming from behind the doors on the other side, her friends were knocking and bashing the door to open. but when there was no response from the other side, they broke it.

"Sammy!!!"

one of them screamed, they witness the carpet flooded with the red blood of Sammy, her cut veins she was unconscious, without any further delay her friends rush towards her to save her life. imminently they call an ambulance and wrap her wounded has with a clean cloth as first aid.

(at the hospital)

Sammy was on the bed, her wound was stitched and her hand was wrapped with badges. thank God that she was still breathing, but she was unconscious. one of her friends was holding her hand leaning her head on her unwounded hand. her friend was weeping lightly and praying to God to somehow save her.

"I'm so sorry. that you have to do this. I am so sorry I was not enough capable to take care of you like a sister "

"Jessica, it's not only you that should be sorry, I have also failed as a sister."

they were crying a lot. asking for forgiveness to not fulfil their duty.

"Pearl, I know this is our fault we should have been taking better care of her."

sobbing in full tears, they were talking about some stuff. her friends were waiting for the doctor to get the report. as soon as the doctor came. they asked her about Sammy's conditions.

"what the report doctor?"

"The wound wasn't that deep. she will be fine and heal soon. She was lucky enough to get to the hospital in time."

she was saved this time, the specialist interpreted.

but, she also stated...

after a while, her father came into the hospital. asking about her daughter. the counter told him to to the ward where Sammy was. he enters Inside the ward and was shocked to see her daughter in this state.

"oh God, how does this happen. my poor daughter, why are you lying in this state?"

he cried and ran as soon as he enters inside. and holds her hands and was weeping continuously. then after some time, he turned to Pearl and asked.

"How does this happen?"

"It was all our fault uncle we were not able to protect her. it was our fault that she did something like this."

"no, no, don't blame yourself for the thing that you haven't done. no one was aware of the fact that she will do such kind of thing."

as their conversation goes on while weeping. the doctor asked...

"Sir, Are you her father?"

"yes, it is me."

"can I talk to you for a second?"

"yes."

she asked him to come to her office.

the father followed the doctor. and asked her friends to take care of her daughter.

"how the condition of my daughter doctor?"

"the sound wasn't deep, we apply the bandages and gave her tetanus injection. she will be fine soon."

she takes her deep breath and asked him.

"Sir, it is not the right time, but can I asked what makes her take her own life?"

the father was not so well looking while answer this question.

"I don't think I can explain."

"it's ok if you are not comfortable with answering that. I will suggest you have her in a good and friendly environment if that is not much help you should consider her to have counselling sessions, particularly in this state. her mental condition can harm the baby."

"Baby?"

her father asked surprisingly.

"Sir, she is pregnant."

"what?"

"After examination, the report says she is 3 weeks pregnant."

it came as a surprise to her father about her pregnancy. neither her friends Nor herself was aware of the fact that she was holding a baby in her belly. the doctor told him to take care of her and gave some suggestions regarding things related to pregnancy.

her father returned to her daughter. Sammy was awake by now and she continued to watch out the window. her father sat beside her. and asked.

"Sammy, daughter, how is my child doing?"

he patted her head with a tiny smile. Sammy turned around to her father and was not able to answer anything. but she was looking sad. lain can be seen through her eyes. at the same time, she was looked so ashamed for taking her life like that. but her father wasn't looked mad at her at all. instead, he asked.

"Daughter, I know what are you going through. I may be not able to understand the true painful feelings inside your heart. but I can understand that you are lonely. I may not fulfil the empty ness but I can make sure that I'll always be there for you."

he makes himself silent for a moment. and then he said.

"it's ok. everything will be fine. you don't have to feel any guilt for anything. you are not responsible for that. you need to encourage yourself.

daughter listen.

you need to take care of yourself more now.

you are now holding a baby inside within you."

everyone inside of that room was shocked by the news. Pear and Jessica looked at Sammy's father.

"Daughter, I know it is hard to say this to you but, it's not the right time for you to struggle in pain. your struggles can cause harm to your baby now. you need to consider your health first.

don't worry I will not ask who the father is, because I already know and I want you to keep the baby."

her father knew her daughter's condition were not suitable and he should be understandable especially about this condition. in this work all alone, Sammy need her baby to live. so he cooperated.

that's how the a hope of sky enters in her life.

hence, she named him "Sky"
