Chapter 20- Romance difficulties

"Why did you bite him? Why didn't you bite me? You know I'd let you." He says his eyes softening a little.

"You would but it feels wrong. You are the one who bites me. Not the other way around."

"That doesn't mean you should go around biting other people!" Cercius and I had an... interesting relationship. Before he was sacrificed me and him had a kind of dating status. We weren't dating because our parents had no clue but we did all that it entails. We made out often and he left bite marks all over my body.

"W-Well yeah I guess that's true....." I say feeling timid for some reason. He sees me looking frightened and calms down.

"Hey. It's okay..." He tries to pat my head but I pull away.

"No!" I run off in no particular direction and come across a room with no one inside. In my distress I didn't recognize it I just found a enclosed space to hide in and cried until the tears wouldn't come. "Why?" I whisper. "Why is he so angry? All I did was feed. It's not like anything else transpired." I heard a door open.

"Wasn't this open?" I hear.

"Demetrius?" I whisper surprised. "Is this?" My eyes widen. I hid in his room! "Shit!" I mumble.

"Who's there?" He calls. I knew I must look terrible because of my crying but I needed affection so I slowly opened the cupboard doors and stepped out. "Faelynn? Why are-" His question was cut short when I charged into him sobbing again. I wrapped my arms around him tightly. "What's wrong?"

"Cercius... Angry..." Was all I could manage to say in between the sobs.

"Why does that affect you so much?"

"No more.... Questions now....." I sob into him until my tears run dry again and get off of him. "We... We were in a relationship. Before he died."

"And?"

"And.... He was pissed that I bit you. I didn't think it was bad. I mean I was just hungry."

"I think you have an over possessive boyfriend."

"Mm. Maybe." Demetrius sat up so I hugged him from behind. "You have a lot of muscles."

"Well I am kinda strong."

"Hm. Not as strong as me." I giggle.

"I guess that's true. How did you pin me down like that?"

"Oh. That's easy." I grin. "I used brute force to keep you down. No special thing. Just pure strength."

"How?" I could tell Demetrius was surprised.

"Heh. I'm stronger than you. Obviously." I laugh and he freezes. "What?" I ask concerned.

"I think that's the first time I've ever heard you laugh."

"It might be."

"You know... You are a lot cuter now than when you butcher an entire town." I feel myself go red at that comment.

"Uh... Yeah maybe."

"So why did you pick my room?"

"Huh?"

"Why'd you hide in my room?"

"I didn't try to." I say pulling away. "I just panicked and ran into the first room I found that had no one in it."

"Oh." He says grabbing me and pulling me back into his embrace. "Well how about we sit here for a while?"

"It's not very comfortable on the floor."

"Well who says you'll be on the floor?" I turn even redder.

"Why don't we sit on the comfy bed?"

"Sounds good." He lets go and sits in the middle of the small bed. I sit right in front of him and let him wrap an arm around me. "Can I... Can I touch your hair?"

"Huh?" I ask surprised. "Uh.. Sure. Just don't tug on it." He starts messing with my hair.

"What the hell are you doing Nishi?" Cercius shouts and I flinch.

"She's hiding from you."

"Why is she with you?"

"Because she was so scared that she hid in the first empty room. She was sobbing."

"She was sobbing? What? Why?"

"Because of you." I speak up. "I thought you would always be kind to me. But apparently I was wrong. I thought you were the only one from that world I could properly trust. And you made me lose the absolute faith I had in you. Go die in hell." And I promptly turned into Demetrius's chest feeling tears in my eyes again.

"You heard her. Get out of here!" Demetrius yells.

"Th-Thank you..."

"I will never let him hurt you.
