Prologue

Two massive and immaculate golden doors swung themselves open to allow a woman in. She looked around at the immaculate throne room, a lone figure seated before her. The room was constructed of the most beautiful metals, gem, woods, and fabric that you could find in existence. But it was the throne itself, and the being sitting upon it, that was the real sight. The woman began to walk further into the room as the door shut behind her. She stared directly at the foot of the throne, not daring to gaze directly at the figure sitting on it. When she was exactly twenty feet from the dais, she took a knee and stared directly at the ground. For ten seconds, she angled her gaze at the space where the figure's hands were resting in it's lap. Sitting in its lap was the most beautiful orb she had ever seen. It glowed with the same color and sheen as the throne but with even greater brightness. Upon seeing this, a question formed in the woman's mind. The being must have sensed the unasked question in the air as it motioned for her to speak. She nodded in thanks and began to speak in a strong but hesitant voice.

"What do you intend to do with this new universe master?" the woman asked the figure sitting on a throne. The woman was unremarkable. She was of an average build, average height, and had dark, almost black, brown hair. However, her eyes were something entirely different. Silver eyes that seemed to glow as bright as stars peered at the figure. "That is none of your concern at the moment Stelle." the figure stated while crossing and uncrossing it's legs. "With all do respect Master, I believe it is my concern considering my station and status." the woman responded. There was no malice behind her words, just a cold unemotionality. She wouldn't dare direct any emotion at the being sitting on the throne. Even as highly stationed as she may be, the being on the throne was infinitely more powerful and higher in status then she could ever hope to be. It was just a simple fact of existence that even she, Lady Fate the Foundation Layer and the guiding hand of existence, had someone she had to answer too. "Be that as it may Stelle, I have no intention in letting you lay your hand on this universe." The being held up the orb and began to casually toss it from one hand to the other. "But Master, a universe without the guiding hand of fate is doomed to fail. "I do not think..." she was abruptly cut off due to the weight of the being's imposing gaze. The power it emitted was enough to make Stelle prostate herself and shut her mouth.

"Do you dare to question my wisdom?" The question was rhetorical, but Stelle shook her head regardless. "Of course, you wouldn't. I know you are not that foolish." It was true. There were few beings that would question it's wisdom, and none who would do so in its presence and in it's own home. "Do not fear little Stelle. Although I don't intend on letting you lay down your foundation or letting you guide the flow for the mortals, I do have a job that only you can do." the being said as it continued juggling the orb. "Thank you Master. I look forward to doing your work, but may I ask what the job you intend on giving me is?" Stelle asked, cautious not to look back at the being while under the weight of it's gaze. "Of course, I would never dispatch you without you knowing what I need you to do for me. Approach me and allow me to give you your direction." It said while waving her over. "Of course, Master." she said while standing up and bowing again. As she approached, she did her best not to flinch or show weakness. At the same time, she could literally taste the being's power emanating from its body, and each step became harder to take as the overwhelming pressure bearing down on her became more and more intense. Now she stood mere inches away, kept from fainting solely from sheer will and focus. The being simply bent forward toward Stelle, whispered a single word into her ear, and then leaned back and motioned for her to take the same place where she kneeled before. Stelle quickly moved back to her previous position, while her thoughts hung on the single word she had just heard. Once she returned to her place, she prostrated herself again. She was about to speak when the being cut her off. "Now that you know what you know, you can see why I decided not to let you interfere and why I had to take the precautions I did." the being said while repositioning itself in the chair. "I do indeed see why you took the steps that you did." Stelle responded. And she truly did. What she just learned could very well shake the foundation of existence itself. The significance of the universe that was currently held before her, had gone up an incalculable amount, so much so that she was wondering why she was even being told this. Although this would affect the jobs of her and her children, there was no reason for her to be called to the throne room for just that. I mean, she was just a child of Creation, and not even the most powerful, as Shisho, Vita, and other of her siblings and cousins were stronger and smarter. She couldn't figure out why she had been summoned. While she silently pondered, the figure began to speak again. "Do not worry for what reason I chose to summon you specifically. Remember that there are things that only you can do, and that is exactly why I chose to summon you. I have my reasons." It sat the orb in it's lap and lifted it's hand above it's head to stretch. "Now." it grunted, "I need you to summon Destiny and order her to go to the treasury and remain there until she is given further notice. She is not to let anyone in, not even my children, and if they try to force the issue, then she is to teleport me directly to her via circle. Next, I want you to teleport to Destruction's palace, and give him the order to send Reki here and have them kill anyone who approaches the front gates, my children included. Lastly, I want you to inform every single palace that I will be inactive for sometime and that my palace will be under complete lockdown, and anyone who approaches will be killed outright and replaced. When your tasks are complete you are to report back here and remain until I am active again. Then, summon an ALL HANDS. Do you understand?" Stelle answered without any hesitation: "As you command." She rose and proceeded out of the throne room.

As she was leaving, she paused right outside of the door, her entire body trembling. Simply being summoned to it's throne room is enough to give any being pause, even it's children. But with everything that she knew now, her anxieties had grown tenfold. An ALL HANDS hasn't been called since Chance was born, and that led to the destruction of one hundred thousand universes alone. However, that didn't scare her as much as the other information she received. Now, she had been terrified down to her very core. She started walking down the hallway, that single word echoing through her head. Resonates. At the sound of something shattering behind her, she continued towards the exit.
