It was at daytime, the day after we encountered Emie-sama while going to class.
The student council, where the high-ranking nobles, otherwise known as the "Leaders of the Academy" have been acquired to take part as supervisors for events, festivals, speeches, and overall the things needed to be managed in the academy. Coincidentally, three of the male capture targets have been dispatched to participate inside the council. These three nobles are brothers, and they are considered to be more important of this kingdom as their father, Edwin Martin, is the duke of this territory, known as the "Duchy of Garmunton", a fictional place located in an alternate-history version of the Kingdom of France, during the early 1800s, inside the province you would call "Britanny", and where the otome game「Heart Nuisance」takes place in.
While Erika-chan, Louiz-sama and I were walking to the auditorium for the flag-raising ceremony that happens during Mondays and Fridays, and is only displayed for a short time in the game, I notice Emie-sama along with her followers behind us walking to the auditorium as well. I attempt to greet her good day.
"Good morning, Lady Emie, you're as beautiful as ever!"
"We're not gonna let you have your way with our Emie-sama, this time!"
How disappointing, the least you could to is notice me, Emie-sama. She was walking straight to me, how strange.
"Good morning..!"
"Ara?"
"Prince Peter Martin, Prince Klain Martin, and Prince Alec Martin, I greet you a good day."
"Good day to you as well, Lady Emie Couture."
"Good day, everyone."
The princess speedily swerves near my direction, greeting the three princes that were behind me, the first prince, Peter-sama and Klain-sama kindly reciprocate. (They just had to be there, didn't they? I thought I was the one being greeted, too!)
"Aiko-chan!"
"Hey, Aiko, greet them."
"Commoner, bow and greet them, at once!"
Erika-chan, Louiz-sama, and Emie-sama whisper to me. I subconsciously turn around to bob over and greet the three princes; Eri-chan and Louiz-sama take their turn after mine.
"My dearest apologies. Good day, Princes Peter-sama, Klain-sama, and Alec-sama."
"We are delighted by your warm welcomes, but we are present today to issue the introduction of an important matter."
"And what matter is that, Alec-sama?"
"You shall see during the announcement, Lady Couture."
How interesting, if I could recall, this 'important' proclamation is about the princes informing us about a new subject, which I'll not spoil you, to let you see during their statement.
"..That their impure blood🎵"
"Shall water our fields🎵"
We have nearly concluded the flag-raising ceremony, the announcements shall be stated within a few moments.
Alec-sama and Peter-sama walk up the steps to the front of the stage where a medium-sized acoustic megaphone is placed. He states:
"We are glad to announce the introduction of a very important feat in the curriculum of our education, here in the「Garmunton Royal Academy」are we very glad to inform you that, the subject of Magical Arts shall be implemented as part of the proclamation of our father, Edwin of Garmunton, has published an act to carry out the subject of Magical Studies all throughout the schools in Garmunton."
Peter-sama
"Yes, what you heard is true. The Duke has told the Minister of Education about the implementation of Magic into the curriculum, something that's been just recently, discovered by the excavation and research of a collaboration between two very important companies in the country; found in deep elevation under the continent's crust; translucent, gleaming stones in a bright white color that have been simply named "Magic Stones" are said to give the holder "Magical Powers" and changes to six different colors, these of which depend on the holder's "Soul". Not much is explained about what this "Soul" is, but it simply is the building blocks to which type of magic will you obtain. These six colors are meant to represent what magical aptitude you do get.
Here in these papers the teachers will distribute to you, inside this small scroll tells what magic you have acquired based on what the color of the stone changed into; It also has information on other components and how this aptitude works with a branch of guides."
Klain-sama
"The elements you are most likely to acquire are the following"
Water = Blue
Fire = Red
Earth = Brown
Air = Gray
"The other two elements, which are generally harder to obtain are.."
Light = Multi-Colored
Darkness = Black
"The Light and Darkness aptitude currently has only two known users, these two users we shall not name, for now."
Peter-sama
"You shall all be given these magical stones, converted into amulets the following week. Depending on your 'Soul', the color will change to the aforementioned. Thank you for taking the time to hear this announcement, you can now go back to your respected study halls."
[A round of applause is sounded]
Interesting, isn't it? To be given magical powers with a tight grab of a precious stone.. either it will go as planned of use, or have people exploit and abuse this new normal in our everyday lives, causing such havoc and harm to the environment and maybe even, other people. It's a very dangerous and potentially discovery, yet still, the benefit this gives us in the form of self-defense to counter this said 'evil' and with many helpful purposes in the military, this to be used in man-to-man combat sounds extraordinary. If anything like this came to my past world, I'd be very terrified. But, it's still a very new subject to be talked about in this world, I know much about it as I have extended knowledge about the game, yet it still concerns me especially of such a route I'm taking. I feel very skeptical and worry about Emie-sama.
