Chapter 16: Needle Throwing Skill
After exchanging some of the treasure with actual money, I checked in the most highly recommended inn. I asked some citizens that I saw earlier and they all said the same thing.
I am lying in a twin size bed right now and trying to cope up with the new information I got.
That means they all died right? I felt something prick my heart at the thought.
I tried to open my status once again but just like earlier today, it wont open. So I tried to check just my mana capacity

The Dragon and I fought for more than a million times. This helped the skill Weapon forge to level up, from being low it became intermediate. I guess leveling up a skill that was made from creation skill is slow? or maybe not? the gate skill leveled up to high in no time, but why is it that the weapon forge which was made first didn't level up much? Maybe its because my mastery on the Whip sword skill did not rise as well?

low: weapon is not permanent, has time limit, low durability
Intermediate: weapon is permanent, no time limit, intermediate durability, can be enchanted, common to rare type
High: Weapon is permanent, No time limit, high durability, can be enchanted, epic to legendary type]
So I just need to increase my mastery on the whip sword to increase the level of weapon forge?
Sigh*
That's too bothersome, I would need to train under someone again or find a skill book to train myself. Should I give up on my swordsmanship? It's a little waste though, given that I have this skill.
I rolled around the bed while thinking about various things, and avoiding the sadness and emptiness I feel inside.

I woke up from a strange noise outside my door. This is my first night sleep and someone is bothering me!!

outside my door, 4 cloaked men are stealthily hiding and one of them is standing in front of the door. Outside the window, on a tall tree branch, a man wearing the same black cloak as the men outside my door is sitting while observing me. I am in the 2nd floor of the inn and it seems like aside from me, no one is occupying the entire floor.
How can it be? The front desk lady earlier told me that the inn was full and there was only one room left. Is she one of the cloaked men? or was it just a business tactic?
My train of thought was cut due to a flying needle that was approaching me, it was from the man on the tree.
I caught the needle and sent it back to the man, I enchanted it with a spell that never misfires, The Dragon taught me enchanting, which was to be used on my long range spells to prevent misfires. I always thought that enchanting can only be done on weapons or things but it turns out that you can also do enchantment on your spells.
The needle hit the man's nape, preventing him from even reacting to the turn of events.

I opened a portal right next to the man and caught him before he even fell down from the tree.
I heard something from his body so I did a little body inspection and found something like blue tooth earphone on his ear, according to my dragon eyes, it was a magic item that acts as a communication device. I followed with my eyes, the strings of magic that connects to the communication device and found that it was actually connected to various places.
It turned out that all of the citizens in the village had this communication device on them, even the old lady from the boutique has one. Aside from that, even though the entire village had its lights off, everyone was awake and waiting on their door step, they seemed to be anticipating something, or perhaps waiting for someone?
I put the communication device in my ears and used a wind spell to carry the unconscious man with me as I ascend to the top of the tree.
I put him to the nearest branch below me and took his cloak from him and wore it.
"She's not in her room!" one of the four men from the inn said through the communication device
"She didn't come down though!" A familiar voice of a girl said, it was the girl from the front desk earlier
"Check the bath room!"
"If I ever saw her naked can I have a taste?"
"No! That will lessen her value idiot!"
"tsch, we can always lie you know!"
"Shut up and find her!"
"Did anybody see her outside?"
"No"
"Nobody came out from the inn, I'm living across the street and I saw nothing!"
"I haven't seen her as well"
"bullshit! are you telling me that she just disappeared?! Where is Lundel? Did he fell asleep?!"
"Lundel is not on his post sir" A man who was looking from the window of my room said as he looked at the branch where the cloaked man who sent a needle dipped in tranquilizer sat earlier.
I guess this bastard's name is Lundel?
"That useless fool!"
"maybe he took her and sell her on his own?!!"
"Check the surroundings! he can't be far"
After that order all the doors from the establishments and houses in the village opened and various people poured out, even children!
Hmm, is this a head quarters? It seems like they disguised an entire village.
"Damn that Lundel, I was sure that girl was a noble!" A familiar man said from below the tree, it was one of the men that escorted me here.
"She would be at least 10 billion gold coins! With that rare silver hair"
"The Theodoreford empire's royalty had that hair right?"
"Yes, that's why we have to find her! I'm sure, the Volx kingdom will pay a high price for her"
"Why would they? they are on war with the empire right?"
"Stupid man! that's exactly why they will pay a high price! they can use her as a hostage!"
"Did the empire have a princess?"
"I do not think so"
"But she has silver hair! what else could she be?"
"An elf?"
"Hmm, that is also plausible, but her ears weren't pointed"
"Maybe a mixed breed?"
The people below were chatting noisily so I stealthily took a metal box from Lundel which contained Needles. I guess this counts as his weapon? inside the rectangular metal box were needles in division.
It was divided into 3 and the tip of the needles had different colors, The tranquilizer was blue, so what could this green do?
I enchanted the needle to avoid misfire and threw it to a man packed with muscled far from me, thanks to the dragon eyes, I can see even this far.
The muscled man staggered and fell on the ground with his face, he was convulsing like crazy before dying. From the point of contact, which was his nape, the green liquid spread and coagulated his blood inside his body and then, his heart stopped beating.
oh, so the green one is akin to a snake venom! what a useful little thing!

I tried to look at where the said magicians are but due to the number of people around, I faled to do so.
"Lundel is on the top of that tree" A woman with auburn hair said while pointing on my direction
as soon as she did her eyes were widen with shock.
Tsk, I guess I cannot really hide forever?
"Attack that cloaked figure!!" The same woman said loudly while pointing to me.
Everyone was suddenly on their guard, the marksman which were on the roof of various houses and establishments aimed and released their arrows to my direction. Magician also started chanting spells and attacked me with long range spells
I changed the trajectory of the arrows using my wind magic, and received the magical attacks with my bare body.
wind, fire, water and earth attacks which came from all side are approaching but I did not raise a barrier and welcomed the attack with open arms.
The cloak that was hiding my figure and my face had been ripped to pieces, The clothes that I was wearing were also receiving damage.
The magical attacks stopped and the entire place turned silent. The people that are still alive and had minimal injuries were looking at an ethereal figure floating in the night sky with its obsidian black eyes staring at the very depth of their soul like an abyss that was ready to swallow them whole.
With the moon behind me, my silver waist length hair is fluttering with the soft breeze, It was also reflecting the moon light. Despite my tattered clothes my body was unharmed from all the magic attacks.
