Chapter 25 : Arachnid

The dark elves are really strong. Everyone was having a hard time dealing with just a few of them. Every time they kill a dark elves Leo received a lot of experience points since his level was way lower than that of the dark elves.

The battle was dragging a lot longer. Their MP was reduced to half due to the long fight that's taking place.

Leo was still looking for an opportunity to sneak out of the scene and direct towards the Boss' room.

There's something that's been really strange from the dark elves that he had noticed for a while ago.

Their eyes were like dead, more like sleeping. As if they are controlled by a shaman or something of the likes.

Whilst observing their movement, a loud screech that had filled the entire dungeon. The dark elves understood what the screeched was for. This caused them to stopped for a moment and cover their ears. The other elves didn't stop fighting whilst a few of them stopped fighting and went inside the Boss' room. It was as if they're immune to loud sounds.

The remaining number of dark elves still present was twenty-four and everyone was really tough.

Annie had noticed that Leo was gone from her back and was nowhere to be found.

"Don't you think he was brought into the Boss' room?" Annie was slowly getting anxious about Leo's disappearance.

"You don't have to worry about him Annie. He'll be okay, you know him and we can't afford separating from others. It will reduce our chances of winning" Good thing Niel's there.

That time, Leo had concealed his presence and snuck in along with the dark elves.

It was a large predatory myriapod invertebrate with a flattened elongated body composed of many segments. Most segments bear a single pair of legs.

'It was a huge centipede. From the looks of it, it's skin would be really hard to penetrate. And it should have a strong sense of dange-'

The centipede sense Leo hiding from behind. It rushed towards him, dug up the ground and crawled really faster.

Trying to bit Leo and control him too just like what it did to the dark elves. That confirms Leo's guess, the dark elves being controlled.

It releases small centipedes out of it's mouth. If that insect enters someone's body they'll take control of it's mind.

Leo was holding the Mournblade. Cloak's passive, when not use it stacks up to three times and will increase as the skill's level rise.

The dark elves took actions too. Leo had thought that it is better if he deal with the elves first and then centipede.

But it seems that the centipede has a lot of confidence in its elves and won't take a move after Leo kill the elves.

There were five of them, better not underestimate them and go all out.

He has two stacks of passive critical from Cloak. And he uses it for the third time. The elves lost track of him but it's the centipede controlling them and it's watching them and can sense where Leo was.

Leo sneak up from behind of the elf, the centipede sense him and had defended his attack.

'They became more hard to deal with'

Now he don't know who to fight first, the one controlling the strings or the elves.

It's still the elves he wanted to kill first. He speed up whilst he used another Cloak. The elves spread out making them an easy target. Leo ran directly towards the elves. He was sensed, the elf used its spear to pierce through Leo. He lightly jumped, he was like a bird standing on a perch.

He kicked its head that made it lightly flew and its neck got a hole as he stabbed through it. The other four attacked him simultaneously but this time he didn't jump but he ducked in, used his foot, span and tripped all four down and never stood up.

The small centipede that was used had leave the body and going to the centipede but Leo went and stomp hard on it. The centipede shrieked in pain as Leo killed the small centipede one by one. This cause the centipede to attack Leo trying to pin him down using its huge body. Luckily Leo had dodged and managed to put distance.
