Chapter 34 : Floor 50 Boss Fight Part 1

"Fufufu, how much I want to see the embarrassment on her face when she learn of it"

"Did you say something?" Zest asked 'cause he heard Drago muttered.

"N-nothing, did I said something?"

"..."

'I can't find an opening to move. My situation's like that of a checked king, one wrong move and I might get mate'

Leo would inadvertently take glances of Ruhan and he would quickly shift his eyes away. He's been soaking there for a number of minutes he's starting to feel dizzy.

'Just how long is she gonna soak in? I'm dizzy, I might faint in here'

Leo's vision became that of a drunk man, seeing things doubled. He rested and when he's about to faint, Ruhan stood up and made Leo looked at her for one more time. But it wasn't clear for him, dizziness' on the way. Ruhan got out of the hot spring and leave.

'Finally...'

Leo immediately got out of the hot spring, anymore of that would make him faint. He might drown, he thought.

[Ringgggggg! It's time! You slackers get up, it's time!]

Everyone who were still sleeping was woken up by the loud voice coming from nowhere.

Leo had a long night, but he managed to take some nice sleep and food. He's back for more action.

[I'll transport you guys back in five minutes.]

"Brother Leo, you should eat some breakfast before going back" Tom had prepared the breakfast in front of Leo.

Leo's still sleepy and still want to sleep more but since the food's in front of him, he decided to eat.

"Ruhan goodmorning~ kukuku..." Drago greeted.

"Huh!? You seem to be in a good mood. It's creepy when you're like that"

"I'm trying to be good to you"

"Stay away from me!"

"Fine, kukuku..."

'I wonder what face she'll make when she knows about last night. Just thinking about it making me want to burst into laughter'

[It's time! Are you slackers ready? I guess you guys are. Good luck and have fun dying!]

All of the groups were transported back inside the tower. There, a one-eyed golem stand out as it was silently waiting for someone to come.

Leo and the two had completely forgot that they are on floor 20 and they'll be fighting a boss floor to go to floor 21.

[Single-eyed Golem, 'STONE']

"I totally forgot about this. Wait I'm not mentally prepared. Wooo!" Evan took out his weapon and so the other two.

'I guess dagger won't do any damage. I'll use my hands instead'

"Hey Evan! Let's see who can smash this golem into smithereens" Leo proposed a battle against Evan. It's his advantage he thought to himself, since it's a power of the fist. Evan clenched both his fist and bumped it together, just like what he always do.

"I'll gladly accept your offer!"

Then the both of them ran towards the huge one-eyed golem silently watching them from afar.

Coming from both sides, Leo and Evan both aim for the feet. They're making the golem lose it's balance and since it's huge, it should be slow. They both took a punch in its tibia, making the golem fell on its knees. After that Leo and Evan both jumped and climbed up its body up to its head. Both, aiming at its eye, holding at its head, clenched both fist and threw the finishing blow. The golem couldn't react to their speed and it collapsed into the ground, with its eyes gone.

"I thought we're gonna do it into pieces?" Evan cleaning his fist from the remains of the golem's eye.

"I had a changed of mind and decided to end it sooner"

The stairs to floor 21 had appeared. Leo and the two quickly went up.

As for the other teams, none had died so far and were doing their best to follow the one in lead. Their luck isn't that great since they encounter monsters one after another. It's becoming a pain for them, and the thought that they won't be able to become 1st at the top and the worst, failing crossed their minds. The very treasures at the top of the tower's what making them go on and fight until they reach the peak.

Luck's skill proficiency's been increasing rapidly ever since this tower climbing test. It's nearing 100% skill proficiency, what Leo's thinking is what would happen if it reach the hundredth percent of the skill's proficiency. It was because of this skill that they're still the leading group even though the other were one floor behind. Thanks to this they safely reached all the way up to the 50th floor without a hitch. They would encounter monsters but low-tier monsters it was so it was easy to take care of.

Before reaching the 50th floor, they had a three nights of rest. They haven't run across any of the other groups inside the tower. And when they're resting, they barely left their room. They'll only went outside of their rooms when taking a bath.

'This just needs a bit more of pushing and it'll soon reach 100 percent. But before that, this monster needs to be taken care of!'

And for the first time inside the underworld, a system notification came in.

'The system's improving, it's showing some different description now'

They can feel it in the air, that this humanoid monster's different than what they've been fighting before. Evan swallowed down, Drale isn't moving from his position. He's like getting trying to get ahold of his body.

"Let's do it before he move!" Evan instigated, but he was stopped by Leo.

"Can't you see that he's strong? Let him be, he'll come to us"

'What is this feeling? I don't feel nervous in front of some strong monster. I'm more like excited than before, is this what I'm looking for? Will he excite me down to my core!!!'

Tom was looking and were always looking at his brother. He wanted to be like his brother but not this way, not the way he's changing.

'Why do you look so much excited about this brother? You had definitely changed'

White dragon scales from head to toe, long sharp nails that could easily cut you open, its eye weren't pink but red, bloodshot eyes. Full of rage and resentment, the pent-up anger that will soon be release from deep within. And its black silk hair just like any other people has. Lastly, its jet-black wings flapping, making heavy winds. Drale folded his wings and so the wind stops. (I totally forgot about the wings hahaha!)

"Words-do come... out." Drale's getting used to talking. "Now I can speak myself out, just like any other human who blabbers foolish things like all the the time"

Drale became aware of Leo's and the other two's presence.

Dragons are a race of terrifying, gigantic, long-living, reptilian beasts. Dragons have been described as monsters, demons, serpents, reptiles, or sometimes just beasts while in reality they are all of the above.

Dragons were huge creatures dwarfing even mammoths. There is something magical about dragons that has kept our intrigue over many centuries.

Few creatures of history conjure up the mental images of the dragon. Also known as wurm, wyrm and firedrake, these mercurial creatures pervade almost every pantheon of classical mythology and have become an integral inclusion of an entire genre of fantasy literature. Dragons are usually winged and breathe fire and they also are said to have scales and claws and horns and their skin below is corrosive. Some dragons may have two or more heads. They may also have more than one tail. They may have two, four or even more legs; however, most are known to have two or four legs. Dragons are said to eat things such as deer, sheep, goats, fishes or even mammoths.

Dragons are very intelligent creatures. They live in remote areas, far away from humans, in places that are dark, damp and secluded, such as caves. Dragons were first thought of as creatures who lived in fire. As of folklore, almost all dragon stories portray the dragon as the villain from whom the hero must protect the city or the princess. But some dragons can take on the form of the protector. Dragons cannot be put all into one group as there are so many types of dragons. Each world seems to have their own type of dragon, and each of these dragons are usually very different.

"Some people have said that dragons once existed, maybe during the time of the dinosaurs. Others believe that dragons began around the same time the earth began. A few people even claim to have seen a dragon in their lifetime. But most of all, dragons are fascinating, magical creatures who have captivated our attention for thousands of years." - Humans

The many different kinds of dragons and the ability for us to use our imagination to create these creatures only adds to their appeal. Many stories have been told about these great beings and it seems like dragons are a part of our mythical history. Whether these creatures are or ever were real probably doesn't matter to humans due to the fact that the imagination can create them in almost any situation. Dragons have often been used in artwork. Pictures or sculptures of dragons seem mysterious and magical. Most humans don't know of their existence, for them dragons are a part of folklore, however for biologists and fiction writers, dragons are real. "So... I have guests already. Whom should I start with?" Drale looked at his three enemies with such eyes. "Why am I asking? I could always fight you three!"

Drale wasn't so fast as he tried to impale Tom when he leaped from side to side. Tom couldn't move an inch, maybe due to the disparity in strength or the loss of thoughts, in process of accepting the changes Leo's having. When Tom didn't tried to dodge, Leo had anticipated him going for the weakest and threw a hard punch in Drale's face. But Drale, he managed to manipulate the damage and leaped back from where he stood earlier.

"Aiming for my brother huh!?" Leo's excited face were washed away by guilt and anger.

Guilt, because if something were to happen to his brother, it will be all his fault. Not being able to protect and fight for him. And anger, because it's his brother we're talking.

"Don't interfere you two" Leo, waylaid the two with his arm. "I'll fight him alone"

Evan could see the determination in him. Even if he wants to, he couldn't. As for Tom, all he could do was pray for his win.

"Do as you wish! Just don't get killed"

"Yeah I won't!"

"Finally done with the farewells?" Drale smirked, "let me send you to your demise"

"You sure talk big"

'Will this dagger even pierce its skin? I won't know if I don't try. Well it will be worth a try. Let's see how tough a dragon's skin is!'

Leo used Cloak to hide his presence and made a sneak attack on Drale. But since Drale had dragon's eyes and keen senses, Leo's skill will not much be of a help to him.

"I can see and smell you... did you know when humans tries to surprise or sneak an attack on someone, they always go from behind!"

Drale looked back, with the thought of Leo behind him and will sneak on him. Well he was right, Leo's behind him but not so close. Leo had put a distance between them and didn't tried to attack him from behind. He was assessing Drale, what he could and couldn't do. And with that, Leo got an answer. "It will be tough!"

Drale possessed great strength but because of that his speed's not that fast, and its strong senses, compared to Leo who has the speed and strength, he also has heightened senses but he has to focus really hard to use it to its extent.

[Enemy's using Dragon's Eyes]

Drale's bloodshot eyes turned more darker and redder.

'What's the skill for? Better be on guard'

But Drale's not moving from where he stood. Silently watching Leo's reaction.

'He's not moving? Then, I'm coming for you'

Fast enough to surprise someone with his speed, Leo vanished from their sights and when the two noticed it he was gonna slash Drale with his dagger.

Drale was smiling as if he knew what he's gonna do. Drale foresaw Leo's attack and with an simultaneous attack, Leo aiming at Drale's neck and Drale aiming at Leo's heart, using his sharp fingernails.

'He predicted my attack!?'

Leo didn't continued his attack and dodged Drale's. He was at a disadvantage he thought. Although Leo was much faster than Drale, Leo thought if his dagger would even reach its neck and pierce it. He had thought that it might just break and had his heart pierced through. And it will be an utter defeat.

"So is that its use. That Dragon's Eyes" Leo cried out in suprise.

"I'm taking back what I said, it'll be tougher"

Group B were almost at the 50th floor if it weren't for Drago, wasting time playing with the monsters. He's the reason why their team can't take the lead.

"Hey creep! Just kill it already bastard!" Ruhan's the most annoyed by Drago's good mood. It's because she has no idea why he's being like that. She's getting pissed by Drago's non-stopping question when they're resting. Saying, "Did he saw 'it'?" "He saw 'it' right?" "Hey tell me if he saw 'it' fufufu"

And it's getting annoying as time passed by. But rest day and fighting's different for Drago. He set aside all the teasing and fight seriously.

"Done" Drago, pulling out his hands that were engrained on the monsters he had killed.

"Let's go up!" Ruhan's so eager to fight someone strong because she can't lashed out her anger on Drago for it will just become a pain.

The three of them took the stairs up and saw someone fighting someone.

"Hey, it's 'him', yeah it's!"
