Angel Feather

(Robin's POV):

I started hanging around mostly in the sky base without anything to do but keeping watch.

From time to time I do get to see Ridley showing up here and there. Just like right now, I saw him staring at the skyland on where I'm staying.

I usually come down and pick him up from time to time but in this case, they spend gravitational potions to come up here now.

Guess they stocked up quite a bit huh?

I used beacon light to signal Ridley to come up here. I then entered my house and prepared some tea for him. After some time, I went back outside as I heard a knock on the door.

"Yo! Is it alright to come in?" - Ridley

He's alone this time huh?

"Alone?"

"Yep, the others are currently busy after all." - Ridley

"I see, what are they doing?"

"They're currently heading towards the biome in the south east." - Ridley

"South east? What's in there?"

"Savanna, there were reports of a group of angels annihilating an entire faction with a total of a hundred members." - Ridley

"A hundred you say? Why are they heading there?"

These guys need to chill, going towards the Savanna to fight a group of angels with just the three of you is borderline suicide. Not unless it's me, Denzel, and Michael of course. We can handle that much

"Well, we just came there to check on the situation and probably check if there's useful loot that are left there. There were some materials and weapons but..." - Ridley

"Not much use huh?"

"Yeah, we only got one item that's actually decent." - Ridley

Ridley takes out one item from his pocket. It is a white feather that looks like it came from an angel.

"An Angel feather? Do you have any intel about it?"

"No, it's completely blank but, it says that it's material for something." - Ridley

"Material?"

Considering that this item was dropped from an angel, this means that there are mobs that are not from the original game. With the current situation we can actually get this to Denzel's hands.

"Yeah, we don't really have anything to do with it so you can have it for now." - Ridley

"You sure about this?"

"Yeah, it could be used for something that involves angels but we don't have any compatibility with it." - Ridley

"I see, what are you gonna do now?"

"Well, I'm gonna meet with the others after this. What about you?" - Ridley

"Eh, I think I'll head to the castle..."

"Alright then, I'll be off!" - Ridley

Ridley leaves the room and the house in the sky. After that, I was thinking about what to do with this feather. I didn't have any idea what to do with it except store it in a good place where it won't be touched.

"I'll keep it contained for now then."

I moved to the bedroom and opened a cabinet under the bed. I then stored the angel feather inside a bottle and kept it contained under the bed.

"Now, what to do here..."

I took all four weapons and went outside. I then started to feel unfamiliar presences all around me.

"Trouble huh? Better eliminate them then."

I took out a tarot card that grants me total equal power to all of my enemies. It will increase my stats depending on the number and the stats of my enemies to keep it all balanced out. I held up my tarot card and poured a huge amount of mana into it.

"Tarot Card XIII! Justice! Activate!"

I went inside my house and took out Light Piercer and poured another large percentage of my mana into it. I then aimed the weapon towards the entrance door and waited for the enemies to open the door.

"One, two, six, ten enemies... This'll be annoying."

The door was opened silently which without anyone in front. I didn't fire my magic attack immediately because I knew this would happen, the enemies noticed the large mana pouring and wanted me to waste it. Now that they opened the door without a surprise attack, they assumed that I was simply hiding. So two of them appeared at the doorway which gave me the opportunity I needed.

"Converged Light!"

I shot the light through the door which instantly pierced through the two panicking enemies. Another enemy reacted badly and jumped towards the light ray to check on his friends but ended up getting sliced by the converged light.

The light finally died out but I had eliminated three players along with it. I hid Light Piercer and took out my Mana Breaker runic blade and rushed towards the entrance.

Particles blew around the entrance door but I knew they were waiting for the particles to simmer down before they enter.

I ran through the particles and got them a little surprised with me rushing out. I turned around after reaching the edge of the grassy zone and raised my empty hand.

"Blinding Light!"

I created a large ball that emits very strong light that can blind a person temporarily. Its effectivity is double to enemies that are panicking. I then rushed with my Mana Breaker and struck two enemies down and killed them off.

At that time, the blindness effect wore of from a few members and started shooting out spells on me.

I slashed through the fire magic and dissipated it completely.

"H-how?!?!" - ???

"Let's say I have great friends."

I charged towards the panicked guy and pierced him through the throat.

"Now die..."

The blindness effect of the other enemies have cleared off but when they saw the deaths of the other members. Two tried to run away but I didn't allow them.

"Searing Light!"

I fired a lethal skill and killed off the two runners, making the two people left here my only targets.

"Now, speak before you die."

"Don't kill us!" - ???

"What are you here for retards?"

"W-we have no reason to tell you!" - ???

One guy shouted out in plead while the other sounded stubborn. I took out a revolver and successfully shot a deadly round right in the stubborn man's head. He instantly died without really being able to react. When the guy pleading to not kill saw the stubborn man's body blew up into particles, he instantly turned to me and pleaded to not kill him. Well, too bad I'll have to kill you too, but let's not waste any opportunity for information here.

"Alright, your survivability depends on your truthfulness here. Who sent you?"

"We're from Independent Marionettes, a faction that settles down on the entire mystical biome in the southwest!" - ???

"Hmm? I see..."

I reloaded my revolver and aimed at his neck while he's kneeling and bowing his head on the ground. Hey, isn't this the legendary 'dogeza' position?

"Hiiii!!!!" - ???

"Alright, what are you guys aiming for with this skyland?"

"W-we're trying to collect the angel feather that we detected!" - ???

"Angel feather? So half of you are chasing a guy right now?"

"Y-yes! W-we split up and tried to locate the feather." - ???

"What are you guys planning with it?"

"That I don't know!" - ???

"Aa?!"

"Hiii!!!! I seriously don't know! Only the higher-ups gave us this mission and-" - ???

"Tell me about the higher-ups then."

"The strongest member is within the top twenty strongest! I have no other information! Please let me live!" - ???

"You know what, fine... I'll let you live."

"F-for real!?" - ???

The panicking guy looked up to me only to see a muzzle pointed at him.

"In the next server that is."

I shot a bullet in between his eyes and ensured no surviving chances for him.

The body blew up into particles. After some time, I noticed there were items scattered around the area. Jeez! I just cleaned the lawn earlier too! Argh!!!

I moved around and picked up items that are carried by the players. I collected a bunch of strange materials and herbs. I threw off the shoddy iron armor and discarded the weapons down to the ground too. I don't need these...

After that, I went around and checked if the grass looked healthy or not.

"Phew, I thought I was screwed."

I then started to feel a powerful flying presence coming towards here. Since I know which presence it is, I simply continued my work.

"Sup Robin." - Seymour

Seymour arrived with multiple layers of hardened dragon wings. Dude, where the hell did you get that?

I stopped using my binoculars for scouting and stood up.

"Scouting right now?" - Seymour

"Yeah, better keep an eye because I have gained myself some information collector group to run around for me."

"Ooh, impressive! Are they promising?" - Seymour

"Yeah, they have a recon sniper so I think they'll be fine. Oh right, I was about to head to the castle."

"Hmm? What for?" - Seymour

"Hold on, come in for a bit."

I brought Seymour into the sky house and gave him a short tour and explanation of my short renovation of this place.

"So you renovated a naturally generated house and turned it into your own huh? Won't you get flocked with harpies if you stay here for too long?" - Seymour

"That isn't really a problem so yeah."

Right now, the two of us are having tea on the table after preparing a bit.

"It's nice that you could brew tea or any kind of stuff manually. The creativity levels of this virtual world really extend to reality." - Seymour

"Yeah, but we're still in the same exact isekai trope of getting stuck in a game."

"Ahahaha! Anyways, what is it that you gained?" - Seymour

"Ah, let me grab it for a bit."

I went to the bedroom and took out the bottle that contained an angel feather. I then returned to the table and asked Seymour about it.

"An angel feather? Did you manage to kill an angel?" - Seymour

"Nope, it was given to me by one of the information team members I was connected to."

"Well, let me handle it then. I'll check on this deeper for you." - Seymour

"Thanks, I don't have any idea what to do with it but it's an item aimed by a faction that has claimed an entire biome in the southeast."

"Independent Marionettes? It'll be fine I'll send Julius to collect info on them." - Seymour

"Alright."

Everything's going quite well huh?
