|SunMi's POV|
"She probably will, they tend to argue amongst themselves." IlHoon chuckles as he checks his schedule. "Let's take a break from questions—do you guys want to sing?"
"Of course!" NaHee hops up and grabs my arm. She drags me toward the microphones set up in the corner.
"Monster?" I ask her softly as we get situated at the mics.
"Yes, of course." NaHee nods in agreement.
"What song did you want to sing?" IlHoon questions as he attempts to set it up for us.
"Monster by Irene and Seulgi." NaHee explains as she hands me a microphone.
As soon as we're situated, NaHee nods at IlHoon and he starts the song for us. My anxiety dissolves the moment the song starts. I close my eyes and let the words flow effortlessly. I can feel a smile cross my face as I let the music consume me. As the song comes to an end, my anxiety begins to eat me alive again. I swallow hard and open my eyes.
"That was amazing. You both have such beautiful voices." IlHoon motions for us to sit back down.
"Isn't Sun an amazing singer?" NaHee pats me on the back as I slip passed her to sit back down.
"She really is. How long did you train for Sun?" IlHoon asks sincerely curious about the answer.
"I only trained for ten months. The others trained a lot longer. They're better than I am." I try to take the attention off of me and put it on the others.
"In those ten months, she mainly focused on dancing. She didn't need much vocal help." JuHee chimes in as I chew on my bottom lip.
"That's amazing. Did you sing when you were younger?" IlHoon asks as Aera squirms beside me.
"Not really—but I'm not that good. Cherry—Cherry is a really good dancer. She was the one who helped me get the dance for our songs down." I try to shift the focus to someone who wants it. She gets antsy when she's not in the spotlight.
"How long did you train, Cherry?" IlHoon gets the hint and allows me to breathe.
"I trained for seven years. I've been dancing for as long as I can remember though. My problem was vocals and rap. I used to be a trainee at JYP, but I was let go. They didn't focus on helping me improve my vocals and rap. That was the only thing they did at Unknown. They helped me prove that I was worthy of debuting." Cherry explains happily as I settle into my seat and attempt to ease my breathing.
"It's always hard to find the best company. Not all companies are the same." IlHoon smiles at Aera before glancing down at his paper. "It looks like we'll have to wrap up our questions. We have enough time for one last song."
Aera, JuHee, and JiSu hop up and hurry toward the microphones. They whisper amongst themselves for a moment before agreeing on a song.
"What are you going to sing for us?" IlHoon asks as he waits patiently for their answer.
"Wannabe by ITZY." Cherry chirps as she hands the microphones to JiSu and JuHee.
NaHee slips into Aera's chair and rests her head on my shoulder as the others sing. She takes my hand in hers and smiles.
"You did good, Sun." NaHee turns to whisper in my ear.
I take a shaky breath and return her smile.
"You'll be a pro at this sort of thing in no time." NaHee mumbles before turning her attention to the others to watch them sing.
The song goes on for what seems like forever, but that could be just me. I wanted it to go on forever. I liked the fact that NaHee was leaning against me. I loved that she told me I was doing good. I loved feeling like I was actually a part of something. I'm used to being on teams in my games, but this team is something more. It's something I never want to end.
"Amazing job, guys. Would you like to say goodbye to the listeners?" IlHoon asks as NaHee quickly moves back into her seat.
"We are Candi! Goodbye!" We all day in unison as ChanHyuck gets to his feet in the corner.
"All clear." IlHoon states as he takes his headphones off and gets up.
"Here." ChanHyuck quickly hands JuHee one of our albums and a marker.
"Guys." JuHee motions for us all to sign the album.
JuHee passes the album down the line. We all sign our names and NaHee hands the album to IlHoon.
"Thanks. Let's get a picture." IlHoon encourages us as he moves the mic stands aside so we can all stand together.
ChanHyuck snaps a picture of us all while some of the radio station employees do the same. He slips his phone into his pocket and motions for us to follow him out into the hall.
"You did amazing. You all earned your meal." ChanHyuck smiles.
"Give me a piggy back ride. My legs don't wanna work." I mumble as I grab onto NaHee's arm.
"Come here." NaHee chuckles as she lowers herself down just enough for me to hop on her back.
"Are you girls ready?" ChanHyuck asks as JuHee playfully hops onto JiSu's back.
"Just one second. Do you think you could bend down just a little?" Aera asks innocently as she slowly inches toward him.
"Just get on my back already." ChanHyuck chuckles in amusement as he lowers himself down to let her on his back.
"Off to the magical land of food!" Aera exclaims as she points toward the exit.
